Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Oh FS thinking of you on that plane....grrrr...I could just do with a week on a beach/ in the pool! local leisure centre isn't quite the same is it!

Hi Frizbe, How far gone are you now? I am about 13 weeks and have started to feel a bit brighter. The sickness I do get can be kept at bay if I eat something! So I am sure you'll be feeling better really soon!

Hi tic tac- are you classing yourself as second trimester yet?

Hi Tictac, I'm 10 weeks on Tuesday! have been feeling icky at weekend for the last two weeks tho, think it maybe a growing thing? eating usually works for me too, but not today? ho hum...

Barefoot, I have my scan tomorrow so I am waiting until I see that and see if they change my dates before I even think about where I might be in the grand scheme of preg if you know what I mean! I am v. nervouse about tomorrow!

Frizbe - I know this wont help you much hun but I got a lot worse from about 10 weeks and it has only just started to ease off now I hope you are not going through the same pattern as I have!

Everyone else - Good luck to all the Monday scans!! Lets meet up on here tomorrow night and share results...I hope it is all good news and I have everything crossed for us all!!!

hi, hope all the scans go well today.

For all those still feeling sicky...sorry but I am now 14wks and I had a very bad day yesterday (I'm going with the growth spurt theory too...)

We visited hubby's 'island' this weekend having broken the news of our pg and the grapevine worked a treat!! Was lovely how everybody is SO excited for us...hope they are as nice when we live there

Anyone else get sharp twinges...ahem...up their bum? very strange...

I am now back from Spain after having a good week in the sun and we also had a week at home which was lovely.

We had a scan on Friday which went really well. The baby was kicking loads and the sonographer said that it didn't keep still for a second! Must take after hubby! It's belly was full too which showed it had been drinking the amniotic fluid. Got a good pic and she made me 13+4 and I was 13+1 which was about right.

Had some very strong pains in lower tummy on Thursday and mentioned it to scanning lady who checked it out and said that everything was ok. I have had them again today so going to see doc later on, bit worried but feel ok as baby was fine at scan. Anyone else had these? It was so bad on Thursday I thought the worst.

I think we will find out if baby is a girl or boy at 20 week scan, dont want to buy white or cream clothes but blue or pink!! Some people like to wait for a surprise but I would be so tempted to know I dont think I could wait!!!!

How is everyones scans today? Hope all is ok.

Well we are back from our scan! And ... we are having twins!!! I am still in a complete state of shock and I can hardly type. I don't really know what to think - excited and terrified at the moment. They are identical and are sharing a placenta and that is about all I can remember and they are OK and measuring the right size for our dates.

Jua - OH MY GOD!!!! That is amazing, I am delighted your scan went well but what a surprise!!!! It's really funny because I was going to post later (off to my scan now) and was just going to put a post up asking if there are any surprise twins....LOL!!!

So very nervouse about our scan, in fact lcose to petrified for some reason! I will post later to let you all know how it went...and a huge congrats to Jua and her twosome!!

Well I felt really pants last night and this morning, can't make up mind if it's just bubba, or a bit of a bug, although no real symptoms bar feeling very sick....so guessing bubba, didn't move off the sofa all evening, dh had to put dd to bed, as I couldn't even manage that and bless him, he got her up am, and took her to nursery before work....I meanwhile didn't surface until 10am and still feel really ick.....hoping this goes away soon.....(I hope I'm not following your lead tictac! I wanna feel better!!)

I felt much more sick than I did with dd and a few people had joked that it might be twins! and I could feel my uterus above my pelvis but I thought that was cos it was number 2! I don't think it has sunk in yet - but I am pleased - I always wanted 3 children but was begining to think I could not face being pregnant again! so it has solved that problem!!

Jua!! Fantastic !! Are you very trim then - I can feel my uetrus too but there is deffo only one in there! I think its fabulous! Will you find out what they are? Mabe you will have them early!! Even january looking at your date- you must tell us how they broke the news to you!

Feeling icky and sicked up again this morning - supposed to be 13 weeks - sure my children suspect - might have to tell them soon!

Fantastic news JuA... and i'm over the moon to report that i have just the one in there and it's a little thumb sucker!!! Peanut was fast asleep for the duration of the scan and was on his back with legs in the air, left arm behind head and right thumb in mouth. I'm 12+4 which is what we thought and my downs risk is very low.
I have a thumping headache which i'm sure is just pure relief about today so i'm going to have a nap for a while and then pop back on later to hopefully hear more great scan results!

Congratulations everyone - all sounds like fab news on the scan front. JuA - how wonderfully exciting! Part of me is a little , but I'm sure when you're running around trying to cope with feeding 2 newborns at the same time we'll all be glad it's not us!
