Thank you Thusnelda!

good luck for tomorrow frosty and baby frosty! yes it is all very real now! xx

twinklegreen · 30/09/2009 13:05

Well I managed to sneak into September

Amelie Eva born at 5.40am weighing 9lb!

Will be back to catch up later.

JaMmRocks · 30/09/2009 13:23

Wow, mummy2t - I think you may get the award for most dramatic birth! Congratulations to you and to nitnat, and twinklegreen. Fantastic news!

SF your last post sums up exactly how I was feeling about DS1 before this birth. I actually found it quite overwhelming. The loving your baby part came quite easily, it just doubles, but at the same time it brings guilt that neither will get as much attention as the first had. But you get over that too. Watching DS1 cuddle DS2 is one of the most lovely things I've ever seen

Best of luck for tomorrow, if it has to be induction then I hope yours is as quick as mine was.

Minshu · 30/09/2009 13:26

Nicely done Twinklegreen and Amelie!!

StayFrosty - men like to feel useful, but don't understand how useful plain sympathy can be... It still doesn't seem real to me. Slightly nauseating analogy warning: love is like fire - it'll grow when there is fuel (and oxygen and a source of ignition, but that's the boring bit and fairly irrelevant to this analogy) - you're adding more fuel with babyfrosty, so there will be plenty of love to go round. I'm a first timer myself, but have heard other people voice such concerns before an addition - and never heard of any such worries after the arrival.

I occasionally get a pang of guilt over the cat's nose being pushed out of joint, but that's not really the same order of magnitude.

Anyhoo - still 10 1/2 hours of September left - here's hoping to some mega-quick labours!

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2009 13:26

Congratulations twinklegreen

Ladyem · 30/09/2009 14:16

Congratulations Nitnat and Twinklegreen!

Good luck for your induction tomorrow Stayfrosty! Hopefully by tomorrow evening you'll be cuddling your LO! I had the same feelings about not having enough love to go round and not seeing how I could possibly love another child as much as I love DD, but it really does just happen naturally.

eightisseventoomany · 30/09/2009 17:07

Congratulations, Snowfalls. Hope all is going well with you both now.

Good luck for induction today, StayFrosty.

Who else is left on this "fake September" thread now? There can't be that long left for us, can there? Please???

mrswee · 01/10/2009 09:50

I'm still here! it's now officially october isn't it? well I'm staying the September thread, in denial, who's joining me?

good luck again stay frosty!

Minshu · 01/10/2009 10:09

I'm holding out for September 33rd birth, myself

mrswee · 01/10/2009 10:49

Minshu are we really the only two left?

Minshu · 01/10/2009 11:10

Not heard anything from FairySparkles for a while and Just5MinsPeace shouted up a couple of days ago. Of the more regular posters, it could just be us... There are loads of names left from the stats thread (which I updated earlier), but should imagine they have popped by now.

It won't be long - I hope...

Just5minspeace · 01/10/2009 12:36

Still waiting and losing the will - good to know i'm not the only one desperate to pop. Not holding out much hope for before this time next week really .....

Ladyem · 01/10/2009 14:35

Wonder how satyfrosty is doing?

mrswee · 01/10/2009 15:09

Just been looking at the stats thread- Minshu, I'm expecting a girl and it's my first too! You are due a week before me so surely within the next few days you will be holding your baby girl?!

When were you due Just5minspeace?

StealthPolarBear · 01/10/2009 15:15

yes, thinking about SF today - hopefully we'll get a birth announcement soon

Minshu · 01/10/2009 20:19

Evening ladies. Been to see the obstetrician today and am now booked in for induction on Tuesday (EDD + 14) , so will be going into the hospital on Monday evening (unless anything happens in the meantime). The midwife who did my blood pressure, etc, suggested dynamite So, unless my body is really slow on the uptake, I should have my little girl in 5/6 days time!!

Apparently the cramping and spotting I had on Monday was not all in vain as my cervix has shortened and moved forward a bit, but not opened at all and the head was still not fully engaged (but definitely closer). Makes me feel better that I wasn't imagining things and that my body might have some idea, after all.

Hope your little girl doesn't keep you waiting so long, Mrswee! Does this seem real to you? I'm still in denial at times...

Mine has been pretty active today, with her legs and feet appearing at strange angles in my bump. Does anyone think it's possible to feel toes in there? I swear I could feel some little bumps on the end of a big lump - or am I just losing the plot?

mrswee · 01/10/2009 20:48

Hi minshu, I hope so too but I'm not holding out a lot of hope as all babies in my family seem to be in average 2 weeks late!
I'm told that if she doesnt come over the weekend then I have a midwife appointment on moday where they will book me in for an induction too.

I hope your little lady comes over the next few days but if not you know you will meet her within less than a week! How exciting!

It is becoming more real but I don't think it will even hit me until well after my wee one is born!

Bring on the full moon this Sunday, lets hope that does it for all us left!!
