Great to hear from you, Stealth. Sorry - I think I misread her name as Alice, yesterday (through my tears) - welcome, April Glad you are home and doing well.

How's BabyFrosty's head this morning?

Sorry that you are feeling so poorly, mumsylady. Hope it all happens really soon.

And hugs for all the other impatient, fed up and achey ladies out there.

I'm happy for baby not to do anything until after I've seen the red arrows today (I realise that sounds a bit sad - I've just looked and their website has adverts for singles / dating sites). The display they did for the great north run last year was excellent - they were so close to the ground. If it's anything like that, it could scare the baby out of me?

DP is going to finish putting together the wardrobes we bought yesterday, so I'll then be able to move the last of the baby stuff that's cluttering up our room - should take me a couple of days to arrange and rearrange to my satisfaction.

mummyhill · 20/09/2009 09:43

Morning I am stuck here too. Baby has till tea time and then will have to wait till after the kids are in bed on Tuesday cause I want to be round to celebrate ds's 4th birthday with him on Tuesday!

Am fully expecting to be keeping my app at the hospital on Weds and be booking in for induction.

Went for a very long walk yesterday all it did was hurt my pelvis and not in a good labour type way!

StealthPolarBear · 20/09/2009 10:09

No, it is Alice, but before she was born I somehpow got it into my head she was called April too and spent a while thinking "that's not right" Pregnancy brain! Sorry for confusion!

Still here too, not due until the 29th.. so could end up being an October baby!

Congrats to all the new arrivals! well done everyone xx

Minshu · 20/09/2009 15:07

Mummyhill - I've just had a bit of a walk out and my pelvis is a bit achey now. Was worth it to see the red arrows, though and it still feels like summer out there.

LOL at pg brain, Stealth Both names are lovely.

Mumsylady - seen your last post on the old thread - hope that the tightenings amount to something.

Glad that BabyFrosty is still wriggly. I may as well have had that glass of red last night, MiniMinshu had a pretty quiet morning anyway. Not so quiet as to worry me, but like she's saving herself for a real good bout of gymnastics later this afternoon.

mummy2t · 20/09/2009 15:59

hi all, never knew about this thread just come across it. well as of 2moro by my dates i am officially "due"
and for about 3/4 weeks i have been officially "pissed off" other 2 ds's were weeks early so i am not impressed at having to do the whole 40 weeks plus!! surely there must something i can do to remove this child, like now!!

Snowfalls108 · 20/09/2009 16:15

Hello all.

Still here too. Think that my induction on Tuesday is looking likely.

Went for lunch with my best friend today, and very excitedly she is 5 weeks pregnant.

eightisseventoomany · 20/09/2009 16:16

hiya again...
unable to post on other thread now....as its too long !!! hehehehe (over 1000 posts)

anyways......mummy2t ...
Im having boy & girl....I am 37 weeks today (by my conception date) but they gave me 36 weeks from a scan.....

I know they are a week out....but experience has taught me to keep shtum until you need to tell them !! wink wink..

am still having very strong BH's...and lots backache today...
but 3 times today I've had quite painful ctrx that start from the top of the bump & work there way all over....
however....
because I seem to be having the most unreasonable pre labours.....nothing is quite as it should be and....

...these contractions are lasting for 10 minutes plus !!!! without stopping......

So we've called the MIL round again ...
and we are waiting to see if they get closer/worse/last even longer !!!!

so fingers still crossed....

hope to see you ladies on the other side

.........TBC........

mummy2t · 20/09/2009 16:32

oh i hope this is it for you mumsylady. i have been having pains in my side knowing my luck i have got some kind of kidney failure instead of labour pains! both other labours started like period pains and then got worse, better go and have a move round and see whats what with these pains!
keep us posted

eightisseventoomany · 20/09/2009 16:51

well......as a sign of hope.....mummy2t
mine started out like I was having Kidney problems too !!!

and as Im prone to kidney problems.....thats what I thought it was..
(Ive got sooooo synical after all these false starts).....so midwife came round & checked my urine....which was clear...

so it was the movements of something starting to happen!!!!
so....could well be the start of something for you too

Ive just phoned labour ward....
and I love their advice to an old timer like me.....
" come in whenever you want.....we dont think its labour.....but if you want to come in then...its up to you"

I love it when they sound soooo enthusiastic...

FairySparkles · 20/09/2009 16:53

mummy2t · 20/09/2009 21:07

please excuse my typing, my bloody laptop is a bag of shit!!

bigbang · 20/09/2009 21:17

Congratulations to everyone who has popped!

Was so dazed the other night I forgot to say her weight- 7lb 4oz. 2oz less than ds, but they are totally different shapes, she is short and round, ds was long and thin!

I had a very bizarre labour really. Very strong pains every 7-13 mins for about 6 hours, I thought 'this is it' and phoned mw. My mum came over and took ds out for the day. Mw turns up at 9ish, takes one look at me and says I am not in labour, the pain is prob the head engaging. I cried (!) and asked her to examine me anyway. She does at 9.30, and she was right, baby only 3/5 engaged and just about 3cms. She gave me another sweep while she was there, went to write her notes and get ready to leave. She said she would come back that evening to check on me. The pain intensified immediately after the sweep, cue much panicking by me, mw decided to stay till I was calmer. Decided to get in the bath to see if it would help. I got in at about 10.30, and demanded g&a as the pain was too much. Mw refused me any, as it was too early (ha) and she would run out of canisters. Suddenly I needed to push, tell her and dp and both shout 'no!'. I ignore them and start pushing, I really couldn't help it. Mw demanded I got out the bath so she could examine me, if I pushed at 3cm it could cause problems. I managed to get out and walk to the bedroom, and announce I can feel the head coming out. Dp and mw exchanged a look. Lay on the bed at 10.45 and waters pop everywhere, 7 mins later she was out. All four of us very shell shocked. She had the cord round her neck twice, so was very blue and took a minute to breath properly, but after some vigorous rubbing from mw she was fine. Second mw came to help clear up lol! My duvet has been ruined as I delivered on it, mw had only put one Inca pad down for me to lie on while she checked my dilation! Gah. Dd is lovely of course, though still nameless. Ds has been very accepting so far!

I really hope everyone has their babies in their arms soon, and will see you all on the 'other side'. Good luck, will pop back to check for your BAs, those babies will come out one way or another!

mummy2t · 20/09/2009 21:24

ahhhhh i am crying!!!!!!!!! thats a lovely birth story - i am now prodding my tummy and pleading with bubba to get the hell out!!!!! well done bb xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

StealthPolarBear · 20/09/2009 21:53

Wow! Well done bigbang - your dd's birth lived up to your nickname

Minshu · 21/09/2009 06:15

Morning. My first bout of pg insomnia for a week or so. Was lying in bed wondering why October is called October rather than Octember, so thought that a cup of tea was in order.

FairySparkles - yes, it's the four of us due tomorrow. Not heard anything from mummywilliams for ages. StayFrosty is sounding a better bet than me Hope that the sweep encourages your niggles along. I'm not getting any indications, so I'd be very surprised if baby put in an appearance that soon. I've not got an ounce of nesting instinct, so housework is being done out of necessity and guilt that DP is working long hours and doing DIY stuff when he gets in, so shouldn't have to come home to a pig sty...

Good to hear your birth story, bigbang - a ruined duvet is a small price to pay
