Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

Hello again. I've been keeping an eye on the thread but not joining in as I've been a bit stressed waiting for my scan. I was SO sure they'd say I was wrong and had been dreaming it.
Anyway I had my 12 week scan today and all was great . I am apparently 11 weeks and 3 days and due on the 5th of June. I've updated the list accordingly. I hope everyone's doing ok despite various ailments. Sorry to hear all the bad news. I hope you're all feeling well supported and loved. 27th May - 3rd - ScaredOfEverything, age 33, #2

Hi readysetgo I'm an end of June due date as well so you won't be alone! On the list as 24th as that was the MN calculator date (for adjusted cycle length) but dr said 27th - but nothing on cycles. Will wait until MW appt and scan before I update it I think!

Woofie · 17/11/2009 20:25

madamefreckle - love the new title

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow, and don't think I can hide it at work much longer - have already caught a couple of colleagues sneaking glances at my HUGE belly. I'm starting to panic that I might be the thread's token twins bearer - surely it can't just be down to the copious Twix I've been yamming?

Exciting about all the scans coming up - you'll have to post pics if you can. Mine's still 2.5 weeks off, which feels ages.

cantsleep - I've got a dawn riser too - knackering isn't it?

Just adding gina - welcome and congratulations!

Hey Everyone. I cant beleive how long our list is: Fab stuff.

We'll Ive just been discharged from hospital suffering from hyperemeis. Feeling knackered, but happy to be at home. I knew to expect morning sickness but never as severe as what Ive been having.

Got my scan date through: 8th Dec, looking forward to it

GibberingGinger · 17/11/2009 20:47

Should start a sweepstake about who will be last - I'd put a lot of money on me. With DD I calculated from conception I was due on the 2nd Jan, from last period I was due on the 5th Jan, scan date put me on 12th Jan, and she eventually arrived (by induction) on the 22nd Jan. If that happens again it will be mid July before miniGG-2 makes an appearance! So no-one worry about being left alone at the end of June, I'll be here to the bitter end!

cadmum Snap on the birthdays. When I was a teenager I worked out to be born on Nov 13th I had to be conceived on Valentines day. (was a teenager so thought it was exactly 9 months). Was even more horrified to calculate that my sister was conceived on my Dad's birthday. This says a lot about my parents sex life Mindful of the trauma (well I was a teenager - everything is traumatic) I hope none of you are going to embarrass your offspring like that. Not that there is anything you can do about it now

Sorry to hear some of you are ill on top of morning sickness. Hope you get better soon. From both illness and morning sickness. I am currently combating nausea with stodge. sausage rolls, scones, anything fatty and floury really. I have no bump yet, just an increasing gut!

madamefreckle · 17/11/2009 21:17

Great news dizzymac! My scan is on Thurs - v. nervous after the bouts of bleeding etc but really can't wait to have some definitive proof that there is a living being within! My tum looks huuuuggge to me and i've been having nightmares about twins...aaaagh! Can't be though...can it!?

Welcome ginaFB - to the source of much pleasure, amusement and support. Congrats!

Can't believe so many people were positive about my pun-tastic thread title. I am not alone!

I've had my swine flu jab invitation and am completely torn about what to do. I'm definitely going to delay it until well into the second trimester and if i have it i will demand the Celvapan (which pregnant women are being advised to have instead of Pandemrix in many parts of Europe, apparently) However, I'm quite tempted to give it a miss and just continue taking a few spoonfuls of high strength manuka honey every day.

LittleRobbo · 18/11/2009 08:27

madamefreckle the gmtv doc was on this morning saying that he would advise pg women NOT to have the swine flu jab, just his own opinion he insisted. i am also torn and like you i definately will not be having it anytime soon anyway. Can i ask about the manuka honey,is that to help ward off flu etc?

Welcome gina

Dreamt last night i was breasfeeding but the milk was coming out like a bloody tap on full! and i couldnt find a vessel big enough to store it all,dh was frantically trying to find a bucket!! hilariously weird

GibberingGinger · 18/11/2009 10:00

great news dizzymac, and I'm excited for you for tomorrow madamefreckle. Is DH going with you? Maybe seeing the scan will jolt him into realising the important things in life.

Got a letter the other day offering me a swine flu vaccine next week. I'd only be 10 weeks, and I think I'd prefer to wait until I'm closer to 20 weeks before getting the vaccine. My only logic is that the baby's organs and nervous system is still developing and I don't want to gamble with that however small the risk. And the complications of swine flu seem to be greater later on in pregnancy, so I think I'll wait. And in another 3 months the number of swine flu cases might be a lot less, so the situation might be completely different then.

Horton · 18/11/2009 11:22

I've had my swine flu vaccination invitation this week, too. Am planning to ring and say I would like to have it but not until after the first scan which is on 7th Dec. Hope they won't mind. I am broadly in favour of having it, just don't fancy having it too early.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/11/2009 12:18

Was that Dr Hilary littlerobbo? He's a complete jerk, so if he says not to have it then I most likely will.

ELM · 18/11/2009 12:26

dizzymac glad scan went well.

gingerHow about a sweepstake for who is first and who is last? I was induced 6 weeks early with DS1 - so wondering what it will be like (hopefully) to go to term.

P.S. Haven't been sick yet today sorry if tmi! I feel like I have been such a moaning minnie on this thread recently.

LittleRobbo · 18/11/2009 13:47

cantsleep yeh it was him,i havent got that strong an opinion of him to be honest, just found it interesting him being against it,being a gp and all. I dunno,i'm still really undecided about it and i think i will wait another few weeks before i feel i have to make a decision either way.

Icanneverthinkofagoodname · 18/11/2009 14:14

Hi all, back from barcelona yesterday. Weather was fantastic and city is great but it was so tiring. Was away with husband and another couple and felt obliged to try and keep up with them so they (friends not husband) dont think I am very boring now I am pregnant. Also realy crap not drinking cava or coffee (much). Now I want to sleep for a week, actually glad to be home.
Its quite strange now relating to friends who dont have and dont plan to have kids. Feels like they disapprove of you even if they say they are glad for you. Makes things a little uncomfortable as you are trying not to talk about being pregnant, having kids all the time.

Keep looking at my photo from the scan now just to reassure my self its actually real

LittleRobbo · 18/11/2009 14:37

welcome back goodname (i've decided to shorten it to this, much easier i reckon ) Glad you had a good time.

readysetgo · 18/11/2009 14:39

Someone at work was ill yesterday and has been diagnosed with Swine Flu... should I be worried? I'm generally pretty healthy, haven't had a proper cold for at least a year or any other illness other than self inflicted! I hope I'll be alright. Don't really

My OH still seems a little panicky. I don't think he will be excited til we hear a heart beat on that scan. He is so worried about money... he is a little worrier though. I hope he gets excited soon, it's hard trying to be excited enough for two people!

Still no sickness but boobs are so sore! It's almost comforting though as that and the crying are the only things making me feel pregnant!

I saw 2012 last night and cried

readysetgo · 18/11/2009 14:44

Oo PS - thanks for your reassurances on sticking by me til the bitter end

goodname · 18/11/2009 15:00

Ok littlerobbo have taken your advice and shortened my name. Also my due date has changed now to 30th May. Could someone update the list for me as I still do not know how to do that? Thanks

Was thinking the same too readysteadygo. She seems to have disappeared

RnB · 18/11/2009 16:18

She last posted on 6th oct

monthlymayhem · 18/11/2009 20:53

Well I'm the straggler at the very end of our list, but am hopeful I won't be the last, as with DS I went into labour on my due date, and I keep hearing that 2nd pregnancies are often earlier , and of course completely pain free

I didn't have any symptoms at all first time round, but this time nausea is definitely coming in waves, usually in the evening, or if its been a while since I stuffed my face with pizza/pasta/curry/biscuit my usual healthy salad.

Another huge difference this time round is my tummy. Last time, I honestly got to 20 weeks before starting to show, whereas this time round I feel huge already. Scan is 8th Dec, so hoping that will rule out the scary thought of twins!
