Here we go -

Hpoefully in this one we'll all get to feel those kicks and turns if we haven't already, some of us will go for our 20 week scans, and we might get to look preg instead of looking like we've eaten too many cream cakes!

No more scares in this one though please!

Morning all

Busy - Hope you have woken up in a better mood today and that you ds is in a perfect mood too. Everone has off days, lets hope today is a high not a low!!!!

I was dreading yesterday afternoon a little as was a bit tired and the though of spending 3 hours waiting at a swimming pool did not seem like a fun one. However, I really enjoyed it. The kids were great, and I mean fantastic, I had forgotten just what excellent coversationalists they are - they are 8 and 10. Spent an hour with 3 girls ranging from 8-14, drawing by the pool and talking about life etc. They treated me like their friend and only batted an eyeling about me being an adult when someone mentioned I was a teacher. It made me remember what it was like to be their age, and the fact we had such a laugh made me look forward even more to the fact that we are going to have a child very shortly. The other parents at the pool were all so lovely too, just welcomed me in to the clan. I can't wait to do all that stuff for my own child.

There was another pg lady there, but she was ready to burst. She was one of those very slight ladies, that from the back you wouldn't know she was pg and it was as if someone had just 'stuck' a baby to her stomach. NO FAT ANYWHERE ELSE. She looked amazing, showing her huge bump off, and I was quite jealous!!!!!

Didn't get home and eat until gone 10 thogh, so am absolutely knackered this morning. Luckily don't have much to do today - just more reports.

Oh well will stop boring everyone now.

Speak later

Bye

Enthusia · 10/06/2005 10:20

Where is everyone today?

HellKat · 10/06/2005 10:24

Morning girls!
How's everyone?

Bains · 10/06/2005 11:09

Who said something about hayfever...I am suffering real bad....you wait all year for the sun and then you have to suffer once its here ...I really hope my baby doesn't get this allergy.

Rodeo1- I have been like you...I can't feel anything either. I did have a few fluterring feelings last week but its gone all quiet now...it has had me a bit worried, I have even began to talk to my belly in a effort to get a reaction (my DH thinks I am nuts )

Actually, I wanted to ask you girls if anyone is excercising. One of friends excercised until she was seven months pregnant (bit extreme?). I used to be a keen runner but I stopped all activity about week 7 ( maybe the occasional swim). I am just finding I am too tired and I really don't fancy it at all but I have been reading that it makes labour easier and it is highly recommended...its begining to make me feel bad that I am slowly becoming a couch potato (but if I can't do this now when can i?)......any views ?

ChaCha · 10/06/2005 16:35

Helllloooooooos
Hiya Enthusia, sounds like you had a good night. Most kids are great conversationalists - my Year 7 class never stop talking to me! I have to ask them to stop sometimes, esp in the middle of class. Awwww..often wonder what it will be like to hopefully have that kind of relationship with my own. Don't want to be one of those 'your my whole life' type of mums where kid feels claustrophobic - hmmmm..just my thoughts.

Bains - I hardly do much exercise other than the walk to work from station and home and the odd swimming session. I bought a book of exercise in pregnancy and am hoping to start some of them soon, they seem fairly straight forward. The m/w did tell me yesterday to get moving on with pelvic muscle exercises - I must make a start.
Perhaps we could all endeavour to do a certain amount of exercise each day and log in with progress report (do tell me to shut up if the teacher in me is coming out)

Well, am in a talkative mood after long journey home so will quietly check out other threads xx

ChaCha · 10/06/2005 16:52

Bains - forgot to mention there is a hayfever thread under 'Pregnancy'. Lots of tips and advice. GP told me yesterday that the only thing that was safe was 'beconase'. Have tried vaseline and some of the other remedies suggested here on MN, hope we all get through the summer!

Enthusia · 10/06/2005 17:22

Hiya ChaCha

Cor it has been a bit dead on here today.

Read your message Bains but couldn't add anything as I have never had hayfever, sorry!!!!

I had a good day today as well, got quite a lot done including 5 reports which I am quite chuffed with. Have also cooked a chilli from scratch - including using real chillis, it smells gorgeous!

A TMI question now! My discharge has changed. I only notice it on my pantyliner, but it has a pinky, reddy tinge, but not exactly like blood def not like a period or anything! Have not had anymore bleeding just this funny colour deposit, it is very watery, any ideas whether I should be worried or not? It is as if someone has poured a small amount of water mixed with red food colouring onto it!

Anyway, off of that subject as you may be about to eat!

Not much else has happened today really, back to school on Monday (groan)! Planned my work today as well.

Oh well might as well go rather than bore you all to tears, bbbyyyyeee!

Oh yes, the exercise regime idea sounds good ChaCha, I am trying to walk where poss but other than that, doing bugger all. Would like to do aquanatal classes but don't know anywhere round here who does them.

ChaCha · 10/06/2005 17:45

Hi Enthusia,
If no one can shed any light on your d/c issue then post under the Pregnancy topic. I'm sure there will be others who will have either experienced or know of this. I'll keep bumping the thread for you

Just sat here thinking about what meal we are going to have tonight, think the only exercise i am getting at the moment is my brain contemplating what's next on the menu!!! I don't stop eating..

rodeo1 · 10/06/2005 18:19

Hello,

I'm here for my daily check up on everyone!

Enthusia, I'm sure don't need to worry, If the flap of your placenta is low and near the neck of the womb then it'll be just a bit of waste from that, maybe it's just adjusting itself. It's made up of millions of capillaries full of blood, so I'm sure it'll just be a few cells.

Bains and Chacha sorry to hear about your hayfever - it sound's like hell, my mum developed it late, I'm really hoping I don't follow.

HK nice to here from you. Are you on a ttc thread now? May come and lurk, see if I can find you!

Baby really kicking now, even saw tummy move yesterday, although whenever I try and get dp, dd or ds to have a feel he/she stops! Naughty baby!! Am still swinging from wanting to know to wanting to keep it's sex a surprise!

There's been a horrible smell in my kitchen the past few days gradually getting worse, It smelled a bit like catpoo but I looked high and low and couldn't find anything. Dp investigated and found a dead mouse under the freezer! Cat must have maimed it and it must have crawled off and died, poor thing. Anyway it was so bad he was heaving!! Gross!

Just found ds has tipped the sunflowers we planted at the weekend on the patio Little horror, they were all starting to sprout as well. Good job I'm a bit less emotional or that would have set me off! Have tried to salvage them but I'd just watered them so they're a bit of a mess.

Bloody hell I've really blabbered on. Sorry!

Yep, I'm on the ttc thread. Not trying just yet though. Waiting for af then b'ding all the way!
How are you?

rodeo1 · 10/06/2005 18:33

Hi HK,

I'm fine, nothing to report anyway! It's really quiet on here without you and Beks and Jenjam! Thank goodness for Chacha and Enthusia! (the thread really should be called 'chacha and enthusia chatline') Only joking you guys!!!

My cat is also bringing in various things now. The worst is when she decides to have a munch on a mouse in the middle of the night, leaving (only the best) guts, hearts etc, for you to either step in or over on the way to the loo. Thankfully enough I have been more lucky than not in the department!!!!!!

Rodeo am very of you for your bubs kicking so much. I thought I felt something a few days ago, but couldn't be sure and nothing since. Oh well I am at least 1 pg behind you as well as a week and 2 days!!!!!

Anyone doing anything nice over the weekend?

Enthusia · 10/06/2005 18:37

Where is Beks?

HellKat · 10/06/2005 18:40

Aww Rodeo! Miss you to.
Anyone know how to put piccy's on member profile threads? I really want to put up a cute one of little ds2.

rodeo1 · 10/06/2005 19:00

Haven't a clue about putting a piccy on, you should def do it though, ask someone who's a bit more technically minded though! What about your dh?

Enthusia, I bet you could feel something. In my first pg I kept dismissing flutterings as wind! Think I was about 22 weeks when I was sure! Hopefully you'll be a bit more clued up than I was though. Yes you are 3 pg's behind me (i'm on pg no4), so my stomack muscles have seen a bit of wear and tear!! Your's and chacha's will be lovely and tight, but you'll be feeling something soon I promise!

PS Beks is on her hols

hi everyone.
feeling a tad better today, had to pop down to get my wallet from where i left it, left at 12noon and didnt get back till 5.30pm so not alot of time to do anything else today.

still feeling pretty cr*ppy m/s wise, thought it had gone but have had it 3or 4 times this week and just now, almost threw up over my tea(eww!)its grotty cos it comes on really sudden

ds was better behaved today, alot less whingy than yesterday and ive had loadsssssss, of kisses and cuddles today-i must be honoured..they're usually reserved for daddy!

am starting to suffer because of the heat, all us 3 are not really hot weather people...so i may hibernate at home with me feet in some peppermint water till september!

sounds nasty-the cat/mouse thing-eek, not really a cat person myself, theyre ok, just dont like them in my garden cos they poo everywhere and dig my plants up

lol at the sunflowers rodeo, kids-who'd have em??!

i have been feeling very slight movements down there, but only when im relaxed and concentrating, mostly when im in bed, although im a bit nervous as my next appt is not for about 4/5 weeks and on anougher due nov thread a couple have just had a scan only to find out the baby has died-i hate hearing things like that, not only because its awful, but because it unnerves me.

Enthusia-not sure what to suggest concerning the d/c thing, its crazy though, i thought my waters had broke prematurely yesterday, my pants were soaked-sorry tmi!! I would just give your m/w a quick bell, and explain, she'll know wether its anything to be concerned about, better safe than sorry x

Still dont look pregnant whatsoever, am really suprised as with ds was HUGE by 15wks, will be 17wks tommorrow and just look a little podgy, but not pregnant!although when i lie down, you can see a ovious bump-which ds comes over smacks and says baba!!!-blesssss!

we'll best go read some other threads, xx

Oh God, what a day! Busy I hope your ds was in better form today because somehow it got through the ether and dd woke-up this morning having a tantrum!!! Still all coming down a bit from the wedding I think so all tired and grumpy but a yelling, screaming 7am wake-up call really set the tone of the day!

Did get to see midwife after an hours wait and then got 4 people in the room with me - midwife, student midwife, midwife's assistant and trainee midwife's assistant!! Just as well I'm not bigger or there wouldn't have been room for me! And this was at the GP's surgery. With all that I was in and out in 10 mins, BP, urine, quick feel of where baby was and a 5 second listen to the heartbeat! No standing on ceremony for 2nd time mums here. Got to go back for appointment with GP in 4 weeks and that was it! Hope scan is a bit slower!

Hi everyone
Rodeo & Enthusia - YUK!!!! YUK!!!! Poor little mousey! I felt sick eugh....

How is everyone today? Had a lovely night out with DH (at last feeling up to it) and scoffed a yummy Chinese meal - with doggy bag to go! No plans today other than a bit of shopping - what's everyone else up to?

Rodeo - we can always extend our chatline to include you sweetie

Chacha 16wks (Hurray)

ChaCha · 11/06/2005 10:23

Almost forgot to tell you all...
..had my first 'baby' dream last night! I had a little girl, I would not let her go, kept cuddling her all the time and wouldn't let anyone else hold her . I also named her in my dream!!! Told DH in the dream that we were not going to call her any of the names that we'd discussed as her name had to be ***. How strange??
Can't wait for that 20 week scan. Hope that baby is fine and that we find out the sex.

Enthusia - DH has finally come round and is thinking of a break to Tunisia/Turkey...tra la!

tessasmum · 11/06/2005 11:05

MUCH better start to today! Half decent night's sleep and a happy little girl staggering into our room at 8.30am so a lie-in as well!

Not planning to do much this w/e, a little pottering in the garden and a trip to Asda could be the height of it.

Hiya all

I am in freaky cleaning and organising mood. Back to my normal Monica from Friends routines!!! Oh dear!

Have already been shopping, idied the whole house, finished some paperwork and am setting up a BBQ for tonight. We have some friends coming round for this first time in ages!!!!

ChaCha- do you want to know the sex at the 20 weeks scan. We are going to wait I think. I love all the speculation, it is so funnt the thing people come out with about it!!!

Tunisia or Turkey - cool. I went to Tunisia as a kid, was great, just disappointed we weren't allowed to explore much and had to stay in our hotel area. Have always wanted to visit Turkey.

Is it lvely weather where you all are today? It is perfect here.

BEKsmum · 11/06/2005 22:21

Hi girls just quick holiday postcard, see you thought you could get rid of me by starting a new thread - no chance!!! Boy you lot can chat I've only been away a week and there's too much to read here!!!

The weather is fab, mum is waiting on me hand and foot and ds is having a fantastic time and with daddy, nanny & grandad on tap he doesn't want to know me - hooray!!!

Hope you're all well, can't wait to catch up with you all next week. Tex remind me about the classes I'll give you the details and Chacha thanks for thinking of me and yes Rodeo I am a lucky sod.

See you all on Thursday.

ChaCha · 11/06/2005 23:23

Hiya Beksmum - Great e-postcard, I am so jealous! Enjoy the break and all the TLC, you lucky gal!

Am wondering where Hamster, SharonTW1, and some of the others are. Haven't seen them on here for a while.

Oh well, guess it's time for bed - see you all tomorrow if you're around xxx

ChaCha · 12/06/2005 18:10

Blimey - very quiet on here today, where are you all hiding? I've just been strawberry picking - was a lovely afternoon but sun has done a runner again.
Feel silly talking to myself (bit like answer machine type scenario) so will pop off until later xx
