Here we go -

Hpoefully in this one we'll all get to feel those kicks and turns if we haven't already, some of us will go for our 20 week scans, and we might get to look preg instead of looking like we've eaten too many cream cakes!

No more scares in this one though please!

Laylasmum · 07/06/2005 15:20

Hi all wondered where everyone had got to , didn't realise there was a new thread!!
Rodeo - we went to Gulliver's kingdom on sunday, i'd never been before but DD loved as could go on everything most of the rides say ' pregnant women are advised not to ride' but the rides are v tame !!!The hills are a bit of a killer though!!! Hope you have a good day.
Hope everyone else is fine and dandy too, time's passing really fast don't you think? I've got my 20 week scan next tues , can't believe it!!xxx

ChaCha · 07/06/2005 16:50

Hi girls
Enthusia, dropped all my bags, bounced through the door (and i mean bounced) and logged in!! Where are you? Why can't MN have a little 'sign in tune' like MSN so that i can hear from the kitchen? Am waiting to hear your news.

Laylasmum - my gosh! I'd be sooooo excited, your 20 week scan next week!!!! Wow! My appointment is 14th July - seems like a long time away...

I have m/w appt on Thursday...still having nightmares of m/w and very large needle.

Beksmum - if you're logging in during your holiday (which i doubt you would be) hope you're having a fantastic time. This gorgeous weather really puts me in holiday mood. DH won't allow me a holiday abroad this year but maybe we could find a quiet country location in the summer.

Better get the burgers on ..

sarahsausage · 07/06/2005 17:12

hiya ladies,

Just wondering if any of you have had any cravings?

I never had cravings with dd and none to speak of as yet.

Have 16 week appt next week, hopefully hear baby's heartbeat, thats my favourite bit

rodeo1 · 07/06/2005 18:25

Hello all,

Lovely weather isn't it! Hope it holds out for my trip tomorrow! Have to agree Laylasmum the rides are tame!!

So are you the first of us to have a 20 week scan? I'm there the Tues after (21st) so you'll have to leave me some graffiti on the scan waiting room wall!!

Mummygow and mawbroon are due the very end of Oct, I wonder when they've got theirs?

Enthusia, hope everything is ok! I'm sure you'll log in when your home

Right, I'm off to get my filthy children in the bath, speak to you all later

Blimey, the traffic on the way home was a nightmare!!! That's what you get for living on the M25!!!!

The scan went well. They said that baby is developing just as he/she should, right size etc, if a little big. They said the placenta was ok, one flap is a little low and they think that a contraction may have squeezed this causing bleeding, but we may never know. They have no doubts that it will have moved by full term though, so that is good. They said that I should stay off work this week and if I have no more bleeding or strange things happen then I will be back to normal next week, so that is good.

School were good, I was dreading going in, but it turned out better than I thought it would. Can't say I'm looking forward to going back next week though!

Thank you for all the messages and worrying, I feel much more positive now. I will post more about the scan itself later but must phone my parents.

Bye

rodeo1 · 07/06/2005 18:40

Good luck to you Diddlypops!!! Fingers crossed next week for you! Would you be joining the due in Feb post or starting a March one?!

ChaCha · 07/06/2005 18:43

I just posted on this on a completely different thread: Gosh, am worried about Enthusia - could she still be there? I'm going out tonight and cant get to the PC until i'm home after 10pm. My fingers are crossed x

I am really loopy lou these days! Enthusia just read your msg and am extremely happy for you. Am off out now but will catch up with you later. Must have a last minute fridge attack before the off. x

Enthusia · 07/06/2005 19:12

Oh ChaCha, so sorry to worry you. When I was caught in traffic I was sitting there thinking, 'I hope ChaCha's not worrying too much, must get home' think I drove like a madwoman towards the end! My parents were really worried too as I only sent them a short text afterwards and said I'd ring about 5pm!

The scan was great, much more detailed and little bubs was bouncing around all over the place, then laid back with his hand behind his head, very relaxed!!! Did not find the sex out as did not want to. His little leg, above the knee was nearly 3cm long, that made me realise How big bubs is now!!!

My 20 week scan is on the 5th July, but I will be 22 weeks by then. It is all so exciting now isn't it?!!!

17+4

mawbroon · 07/06/2005 22:42

Hi guys. Thought my ears were burning!!
Yes, had scan today which was a bonus as they don't do 20 weeks scans routinely in my area. The consultant agreed to do one as I had a positive for the AFP (Downs) blood test. There were no soft markers for Downs or any other abnormalities so although it is by no means a guarantee, it has reassured us a great deal

Couldn't help myself whilst in the town today and bought a couple of teeny items of boys clothes in the charity shop. It is amazing what great stuff you can get in the charity shops. I got a whole wee outfit for age 3 month- trousers, t shirt and top for £1.99 and they still had the labels on them!! Brand new! I have told myself not to buy anything else until I am at least 30 weeks as I could just get all carried away. DH didn't mind too much when I told him that my total spend was less than a fiver though....

Hope you are all well and good luck when your scans etc come round.

Just been catching up on messages.....sounds like all is well....good news about Enthusia and Hellkat.

I have my 20 week scan at the end of this month (28th?) can't wait ...but seems like ages away.
I have been tempted to look at baby things but I have been refraining myself from buying anything until the scan....its going to be tough .

Its a bit strange actually I have been getting some strange pains in my belly not too intense, just like a pin pricking pain....I think its because my belly is stretching or I guess it could be the baby ???? Plus I have been mega tired recently...which is wierd since everyone tells me I should have tons of energy. Went home and crashed out yesterday after work.

Anyway....still waiting for those cravings......

Enthusia · 08/06/2005 09:06

I couldn't help myself when I spain. On the Wednesday I bought a whole 'Jane' travel system, it was the last one before the next year's model was launched and was under half price. I just couldn't leave it there could I ? We were also given a rocking horse that was handmade by a friend, it is gorgeous. We just have til wait until July when my parents are going to drive it all over here!!!

I also have a whole draw full of little baby clthes etc. I just can't stop myself when I am shopping, oooooooopppppsss.

Mind you started panicking about it all when I had me bleed and all those superstitions were flying through me head!!!!!!!!!!

Enthusia · 08/06/2005 09:07

Actually the baby clothes are in a drawer, not a draw, they are real, really!!!!

ChaCha · 08/06/2005 10:19

Good morning
Hi Enthusia, glad all is well. Keep your feet up when you can though and keep in touch.

Another sunny day here - hurray! I love it! We are out at a friend's house tonight so think i will have a quick run round and sit out with a book and enjoy the sunshine. Don't feel like venturing out today - have m/w tomorrow and bedreaded blood test most probably. Will relax today!

Hi Mawbroon - sounds like you got yourself some bargains! And congratulations to all those who've just had a scan..lucky you!

Enthusia · 08/06/2005 10:23

'Keep in touch' I seem to be addicted again!!!

tessasmum · 08/06/2005 10:24

Hello everyone, back from a BRILLIANT weekend, getting married is definately to be recommended!

Welcome to new people, sorry MizZan, I claim the old woman status on this thread, 42 now and 43 when baby turns up!!

Enthusia - well done on Jane system, did you get the 360 one with the lie-flat car seat? We bought it 2 1/2 years ago and it is still going strong. I have nothing bad to say about it and will rave to anyone ready to listen! We didn't buy much for Tessa before she was born but that was money really well spent and if you got it half-price in Spain then you must have got an amazing deal.

Off to Whipsnade now as sun is shining and DH(!!) has week off.

18 weeks today!

ChaCha · 08/06/2005 10:40

Welcome back Tessasmum - isn't married life bliss [angelic emoticon) ahhhhhhh! Congratulations once again and hope you're having a fantastic time.

Enthusia - try and get a link for that travel system, have not looked at anything yet and haven't a clue about anything either. Am not going to buy anything until the 20 week scan but would love to see what's on the market. xxxx

Enthusia · 08/06/2005 11:40
