Here we go -

Hpoefully in this one we'll all get to feel those kicks and turns if we haven't already, some of us will go for our 20 week scans, and we might get to look preg instead of looking like we've eaten too many cream cakes!

No more scares in this one though please!

Hello, chacha, strawberry picking sounds lovely, I remember when I used to go when I was younger, used to eat so many whilst picking, that I never wanted to see anougher strawberry ever again!
Have had a lazy weekend, been round dp's aunt most of the weekend, everyone gathered there last night and ended up having quite a few drinks, whilst dp started getting witty and took it too far and I ended up in tears!

Have been feeling baby loads today, but mostly downwards towards bladder, upwards towards stomach and towards my spine, I wonder wether my placenta is at the front of belly and thats why I cant feel it there yet, Im not sure, maybe just not strong enough movements yet???

Think we have finally decided on a suitable pram for them both, think were going to go for the cosatto duo lite-think thats what thats called, basically because its almost the same size and width of a normal single buggy, so great for me traveling round on buses etc!

Hows everyone?

Hope everyone's good. xxx

rodeo1 · 13/06/2005 10:13

Where are you all this morning girls??

Know what you mean about those bladder kicks Busy, they come a bit keen! Not felt any kicks round the back, always round the front or off to the side - interesting thought about the placenta position, you'll have to find out at your 20 week scan.

Chacha, aw, sorry for deserting you at the weekend honey! Hope you didn't make yourself sick with all those strawbs! I went to an agricultural college open day with the children yesterday, so lots more stroking of various farm animals! Entered a competition - guess the weight of the piglets - there were 9 of them!! Wonder if I'll win a piglet if I win? Al la 'Babe'???

Glad you're having a lovely time Beks! The weather here has gone cold!! I washed dd's school jacket last night and forgot to dry it, so I've had to send her in her poncho! Hope it doesn't rain....

Anyway not up to much today, ds has got playgroup later on and I've got work later

Speak to you all later

busyalexsmummy · 13/06/2005 10:29

Hc-please explain how to do photos in membor profiles pleaseeeeee!

HellKat · 13/06/2005 10:32

They have to be smaller than 18kb. None of mine were so had to send one off to a m'ner to get resized. You do your profile, then click above it where it says about uploading pix. You'll probably find it'll need resizing so post a thread asking for help. I had to

rodeo1 · 13/06/2005 10:44

Flipping heck, that's really addictive!!! Have seen loads of babies, toddlers, scan pictures - even TCs belly!!

I'll try and take some today HK, I'll try and do it now!!! Right where's that camera?? Shall I send them to you?

Awwww Hellkat, he's just adorable! What a cutie

How is everyone today? Twinkle - how was your candle party? You are a day or two ahead of me - have you felt any movement yet? The only movement i've felt to date is the type that ends in leaving the room Sorry - TMI, LOL!

So? Where are you all hiding?

HellKat · 13/06/2005 11:35

Thankyou Chacha. Lol at movement.

Laylasmum · 13/06/2005 11:41

Hi everyone! Hope we are all ok. Been to mw this morning and all seems well, heart beating loud and strong!! Have been feeling some movements aswell but still pretty light and some days more than others ( maybe it is just wind!)
30 wk scan tomorrow looking forward to it but nervous aswell, DD is coming along God knows what she'll make of it esp as MIL has been telling her that she's going to 'see' the new baby tomorrow! They take everything so literally don't they so when its just ojn a screen i guess she'll be a bit disappointed!! anyway will post tomorrow and tell you all how it went. Enjoy the rest of the day even if it does feel like november out there!! xx
20+1 wks

Laylasmum · 13/06/2005 11:42

obviously meant 20 wk scan not 30 !!!!

ChaCha · 13/06/2005 12:42

Aww...Laylasmum - can't wait to hear your scan news! All the best x

My appetite is amazing! Have just scoffed 3 waffles, boiled egg, tomatoes etc..and have the cheek to still be hungry!!!! Gosh.

Bains · 13/06/2005 14:14

Glad I am not the only one who is becoming a pig ....I can empty the fridge and still be hungry..I think hubby is getting scared!

had a bit of a scare on Sat night...had cramping in my lower abdomen...I wasn't actually that worried about it but I had a funny discharge too. So I call NHS direct who took an age to get back to me....obviously they can't tell anything on the phone so they sent me to A&E. At A&E the doctor was seriously insensitive and made me feel like a prat for coming to the hospital (men are so insenstive) so he referred me to the labour ward. They were much nicer in the labour ward (although I got a telling off for not bringing my notes with me). Spent the next 2 hours being and I was tested for everything...I even had to have a vaginal check (which was awful...I was told by the doctor that I would soon get used to people peering up there but I am not so sure). So after all that poking and prodding they told me I was ok (thank god!) and baby was ok (thanking god again!) and that the pain was probably just stretching of ligaments - which I am bit shocked at as it was quite painful (I suppose I should get used to pain as labour will be worse)...anyway all is well that ends well and better safe than sorry. By the time we got home it was 2am and we were shattered so I slept most of Sunday.

Baby has been quiet for a while so I get very little kicking...or maybe I am just too insensitive to pick it up.

Anyway see you girls had an eventful weekend on here...I best go and catch up on news.

Good luck with your scan Laylasmum!! Let us know how you've got on.

Busy you must come round here - I'm really behind with my housework - as usual! Must try to muster some energy to do some this afternoon.

Been at dd's good work assembly at her infant school this morning, which was lovely - although hearing them all singing brings a lump to my throat, must be the hormones!

Going to toddler group this afternoon, just an excuse to eat biscuits and drink tea! It's strange but it's just boys at the group, makes me think there was something in the water when we had them!

Feel like I've got brain fog too at the mo, just can't concentrate on conversations which is a bit embarrassing. A friend said yesterday 'sorry annie, have I offended you?' because I must have had an expressionless face as she was speaking! Oh dear!

Well speak to you later before I ramble too much,
Hope everyone is ok

Love to all x x x

Hello,
New thread-cool. Haven't been on for what feels like ages! I burnt my hand so haven't been able to type, and I have not got the patience to do it one handed!

Hello Sarahsausage.......great name by the way.

So how are we all?

Laylasmum, Hope your scan goes well. I can't wait, I have mine on Thursday!
I really want to know the sex aswell, we knew with ds, so I think I'll go mad if I don't know this time. I like to buy stuff you see!

Bains-I am also in the "pig" gang. We did what is usually a 2week shop, on Thursday night. The fridge now looks in dire need of replenishing again. I so hungry allthe time. Trying to be healthy though-honest.

Rodeo-when is your scan? You're due the same time as me aren't you? 4th Nov-ish?

Typical, I have a quiet w/e and easy access to my computer and no-one is around. Yesterday DH managed to b*** up the internet connection all day and everyone appeared again - the dangers of a computer expert let loose!!!

Beware all you first timers out there, children can seriously effect your self esteem!! At the moment I am very proud of my more rounded figure, particularly my expanding chest, having never been exactly well-endowed. However this morning as I am wandering around the bedroom barely clothed, in bounds my 2 year old lifestyle guru, points at my boobs, laughs loudly and says "wobbly"!!! DH nearly exploded, I'm still deciding on how much I would get for her on ebay!
