Here we go -

Hpoefully in this one we'll all get to feel those kicks and turns if we haven't already, some of us will go for our 20 week scans, and we might get to look preg instead of looking like we've eaten too many cream cakes!

No more scares in this one though please!

Hello MisZan - I remember you posting on the members list - glad to see you've made it over here! I've got a 3 and a half year old ds too (as well as a 5 nearly 6 year dd). I think it'll be a nice gap!. I'm sure you're not the oldest, but no one would care if you were!

Hi Sharon - I'm still hanging on to my old clothes too (just undoing the first button and wearing a thick belt!) although they're getting rather uncomfortable!

Great to hear from you Tex - moving house hey? You mad people! Hope it goes well

Glad to hear you're feeling so much better Chacha!! You sound like you've finally turned the corner!

Enthusia - get those feet up!! I had a low lying placenta (not as low as yours though) and it had moved up by 30 weeks or so. Sorry to be no more help!

I've got a busy week with ds this week - I'm going to Gulliver's Kingdom on Weds, I hope they'll let me on the rides, they're only baby rides though so I'm sure I'll be fine!

Enthusia-have a friend who had placenta previa(sp?) when her last pg, is that
what you have? she was monitored closely but luckily it moved up by 32 weeks and she had
a normal delivery. Certainly in your case theres plenty of time for it to move up,
just take care, rest when you can and im sure it'll be fine :-)

Bains-dont feel pressured by your in laws-at the end of the day its your decision,
are you someone who waits till your birthday to open cards and presents, or do you
open them straight away? its the same concept really. I had ds as a suprise,
which i enjoyed and prefered it that way, but am considering finding out the sex this time,
purely because I think its nice to have had a suprise for a first baby, but want to find out
for more convienence this time round!
Ps-You cant compete with my long postings!!:-) I rarely have time to post with ds running round
switching the pc off all the time, so when i do, theyre quite long catch-up posts!!

Chacha-glad to hear your feeling better, what a relief, i think the sickness etc really takes it out of you,
dont you find?

sarahsausage- hi and welcome, I see you've taken my place as baby of the board! tell us a little about yourself
when you've got time to post again. Im from somerset with a dp whos 21, im 20 and ds is 15 months

To anyone ive missed out, hope your all fine xx

right, now for my update, saw chiropractor on friday, and went for my first treatment today, my pelvis is/was
twisted more than 2" to the left and tilted , which she thinks was causing the pain more than the spd, she
said its more like siatica(sp?), anyhow was there for an hr, she managed to get pelvis back in line and gave me a full skeletal
check up, I also have 6 vertabre in my spine that were twisted so she popped them back into place aswell

better go as ds is currently trying to destroy the house phone and cable.........

Enthusia- Hope you're well. Rest up and take care.
Mummy- Little ds2 is 14mths! Into allsorts too lol
How's everyone else? Hope everyone's great!

tex111 · 06/06/2005 16:29

BEKsmum, isn't your DS doing a drama class in Bromley?? I'd love to have the details. DS will be three at the end of July and I think he'd love to try drama.

Would you believe it, the couple who saw our house in a mess have made an offer! They're going to come back and see it again on Sat. After all the cleaning I've done for other viewings!

Diddle · 06/06/2005 17:43

well aren't i daft - i thought it was quiet on the old thread until i realised there was a new one.
Hope you're all Okay
Enthusia - I hope that you're ok, have just been reading your messages. I really feel for you, as you and I were due the same day i felt like we were experiencing the same things together if that makes sense.
It is quite normal to have a little bleeding during pregnancy and coudl be nothing to worry about, but i don't think you could ever be over cautious at such an important time. I think that if it were me i would be taking it very easy and not even considering doing anything you shouldn't or don't feel comofortable with. if you would feel better having more tie off or staying at home htne you should do it, if not for your physical health then for your psychological wellbeing.
I really hope it all goes ok for you.

Hope everyone else is alright, haven't been on for ages, but keep checking on you all, so if something major has happened and i've missed it i'm really sorry.

ChaCha · 06/06/2005 17:58

Hi Tex - Hope it's good news for your house Witnessing normal, healthy family life will have been the key i'm sure. Best of luck.

Not much to write home about - I can't stop eating! All i think about is my stomach (and that's not baby) and what's next on the menu. My packed lunches for work are going to very interesting i'm sure
I think i need to go and attack the fridge..

Diddle · 06/06/2005 18:48

chacha - i feel like that all the time and i'm not pregnant yet

rodeo1 · 06/06/2005 19:33

Hello all, just a quick check up on you all before work!

Brill news about the house Tex!! I agree with Chacha, dirty pots and pjs - just normal family life round here too (along with mounds of dirty clothes, unflushed toilets etc)! PS Beks is on hols for 2 weeks, lucky s*d!

Bains - I agree with you too - maternity clothes seem to put about 3 months of pg on me!

Busy - Hope your chiropractor gets you sorted out,
my dp went to see one when he had sciatica and they really helped! In fact, they helped so much he wanted to purchase one of the contraptions they use to hang you upside-down! So good luck for your next treatment - are you having them weekly?

Right better go and get ready, have a nice evening!

HK - Good luck for your test results tomorrow!!

Hi everyone,

thanks for the warm welcome

i still fit into my ordinary clothes just about, but i bought maternity ones anyways and i agree, i look pregnant in them even though i dont (anyone understand that?! lol).

I found Next great for maternity clothes, the summer tops especially.

Rodeo - i wouldnt like to guess whether boy or girl, i always get these things wrong! Dp thinks will have a girl.

15 weeks today

ChaCha · 06/06/2005 19:58

Hi SS (have taken the liberty of abbreviating your name)

Am quite pleased with myself today (smug emoticon). After having had a long meeting and then visiting a friend in hospital came home and cleaned the house That included washing too and starting dinner, can't remember when in the last 3-4 months i've had the energy to do that. Yipeee! I better not be too smug coz knowing my luck will be back in rag doll mode tomorrow and have loads to do at work
It's nice to come on here and rattle sometimes - saves text msg's to poor friends.

LOL @ Diddle, hope you're well. Miss seeing you here.

Enthusia · 06/06/2005 20:00

Hiya all

Docs have been great, one phoned at 8am this morning to tell me she was going to give the hopital a kick up the bum, the hospital then rang at 10 with a scan appointment for 2.20 tmrw. Hopefully this scan will give more definite answers. I feel quite positive, but nervous about scan as always, bubs was fine last Thursday though, so hopefully it is still doing well and bouncing around!

I am in my maternity clothes as no others now fit, and am eating for England. Loads of bump twinges, anyone else got this?

Tex - great news on the house, that lived in look must be great.

sarahsausage · 06/06/2005 20:07

Hi chacha

I felt really bad first 12 weeks or so, really really tired, was in bed for like 8pm every night.

But i too am feeling better more so in the past week, i feel like i could run a marathon, loadsa energy!

ChaCha · 06/06/2005 22:10

Day is taking its toll - time for bed!
Enthusia - I'll be catching my train just after 3 tomorrow, hopefully by which time you'll just be leaving the hospital. Please (as soon as your home) let us know how everything went, I shall be loggin in as soon as I arrive back home.
I don't really use the PC at work - let's see the environment is not exactly private! I will be thinking of you and praying all goes well...loadsa hugs!!!!

SS - Wonder how long it will last? I really do feel like the old me - you and I are both at the same stage. Think i'm 15 weeks yesterday. I'm crap at working it out (I'm not a maths teacher am i? he he!

Nighty night all, xx

HellKat · 06/06/2005 22:12

Great news. Rang earlier and the results were in. Good news. Not ectopic pg. Just residual hormones from retainment! Apparently my hormone levels have dropped to 80 (from 270) so all great news! Have to do a pg test Friday but they're hopeful that all will be gone by then. The histology report said that a stack of tissue, placenta etc was removed so they're 100% everything has finally gone.
So now waiting for the bleeding to finish, then af then gung ho all the way!
How's all?

twinkle1 · 06/06/2005 22:34

glad to hear you are getting sorted hellkat everything is fine here with me just really realy tired and i look like a moose Dp is complaining cos he is not getting any action in the bedroom !!
Do all men complain this much?????

ChaCha · 07/06/2005 06:49

Hi Hellkat - glad everything is sorting itself out, wishing you all the best x

Enthusia - thinking of you today. Remember to post as soon as your home.

Hope everyone else has a great day, off to work

Enthusia · 07/06/2005 07:16

Hiya

I will post as soon as I can when I get back, but I have to drop into school first to tell them, so might be around 4.30ish. Thanks for the worrying.

Twinkle - when told about placenta, was told no bedroom pleasure whatsoever!!! I can't even enjoy myself, IYKWIM! DP is not being too bad about it, quite understanding, I think it is me who is paranoid that he might find someone who can! But there is more than 1 way to skin a cat

I feel quite good today, just a little worried. My ideal scenario would be that at the scan I see this gorgeous little bouncing bub, very healthy, a placenta that will move by 38 weeks, but that the docs advise me to stay off work for a few weeks, I just can't face going back. I feel really guilty about this, but I just want to concentrate on my bump, my DH and our house. So many things are changing at the mo and life feels quite stressful, my priorities have totally changed and I feel like a completely different person. Work now feels, well inconsequencial! Please tell me this is normal and I am not turning into a skiver! Never felt like this before, always been so work focused, thought PG would just slot right into work and nothing would change until the summer hols, never thought I would change in feeling so much, it is quite scary, like having a personality transplant!

Sorry am rambling now!!!!

HK - Glad about your results, now that you're all 'cleaned up' the real fun can begin! Good luck with your endevours

twinkle1 · 07/06/2005 08:39

enthusia, the way you are feeling is normal!!! Pg changes everything you are never the same person priorities change, life changes all i think for the better but different things become important.I suppose this is natures way of making sure you love and look after your kids. You will get used to the new "you" but it is a journey and takes time
love twinkle

HellKat · 07/06/2005 08:48

Thanks all!
Enthusia- Best of luck today!
Lol at bedroom antics. Dp's banning me! With the high level of pg hormone running around I'm frisky as anything lol.

Enthusia · 07/06/2005 11:27

Cor, it is quiet today, where is everybody?????

Diddle · 07/06/2005 12:41

i'm here Enthusia, how are you feeling, has the spotting stopped???

Enthusia · 07/06/2005 12:56

Hiya Diddle

Yes the spotting has stopped, last was a very watery discharge on Sunday, only reason I knew it was blood was the colour on my pants!!!

I feel generally ok, but the closer the scan gets the more nervous I become, I know I will probably be fine and bubs was healthy on Thursday, but it doesn't stop that niggling.

Anyway how are you doing? Enjoy the BD, has it paid off yet? Have been following you from time to time on the TTC thread, all things crossed!!

Diddle · 07/06/2005 12:57

Glad to hear all has calmed down, i'm sure your scan will be perfect.
No news from me yet, but having fun trying. Af is due a week today, so we will see if se arrives or not. fingers crossed

Enthusia · 07/06/2005 13:05

I'll keep everything crossed for you! Does that mean your poor DH is getting a rest for a while? Won't tell mine or he'll get really jealous about the bed olympics

Diddle · 07/06/2005 13:18

yes he will get a little rest only for a week though, then we'll be back to it, we are so desperate to have a baby, will be mega dissapointed if we're not this month, we have really tried. but if my body isn't ready to have one then there's nothing we can do.
