Thanks for tips GYo, will give it a go. Woke her from her nap in town this morning as she'd had 2 hours and gave her a good feed. She's wanted to feed since, but other than a small suckle, have held off. think the key for today will be not letting her sleep too long this pm. we'll see how it goes.

well done on the new thread - like the title!

Off out for second trip of the day - feel shattered, depsite nap on sofa while dd3 watched dvd. Am really feeling the tiredness kick in at the moment, though may be to do with the anaemia I suppose!

Moosy · 02/05/2009 16:04

B6 is going really well, it's enabling me to eat, even if I don't feel like it, I can make myself and I don't get the 'I need to eat RIGHT now or I'll be sick' crashes either which is nice. Last night I even stayed up until 9.30! I woke up this morning feel absolutely fine (despite having had an upset tummy in the night) and my cornfalkes tasted normal. I was all and worried that something had gone wrong and I was losing my symptoms, but once I'd bathed and hair-washed the DDs and had a shower I was feeling reassuringly crappy again I can't win!

tinkishappy · 02/05/2009 16:32

sounds good moosy

great thread title gyo
we enjoyed party got verbaudet bits just waiting for pink blanket. havent got playhouse prob get on tues

BBisfinallyPG · 02/05/2009 17:28

oh i found you, i get lost so easily!!

what a meh-y day... im 14 weeks now, and i have no bump...i have bump envy i want a nice obvious bump...instead i have lost a total of 16 lbs.... where's my bump????x

Diege · 02/05/2009 17:38

Duh, had posted on other thread so have c&p over.
Wow MOOS that does sound good! Wish I'd tried it myself now, though relieved that I won't have the opportunity again!
TINKS, sounds like you had a good day. These BHs are a pain for us shop-aholics Hoping to get my most recent purchases through on Tuesday - a parka jacket from topshop for cooler summer days post-birth, and a final, final tunic top (yes, maternity..)
Gorgeous weather here still..can't believe it after all the rain! DD has been much better with her toilet training today, after a few rubbish ones. Who knows, I could have a few nappy free weeks before no.4 starts the whole thing off again!
Oh a question I have been meaning to ask. As my last 2 were winter babies, have forgotten what's what re: summer clothing. I had sort of assumed a thick cardi-type jacket with hood would be ok for new baby, hadn't though of a coat/light snow-suit type thing. Assume this will be needed? Any advice appreciated!

Diege · 02/05/2009 17:39

Hi BB! Don't worry, I didn't get a bump with dd1 until 24 weeks or so..wait till you're on no.4 and look full term at 14 weeks

idreamofbeanie · 02/05/2009 18:21

Hi guys, hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

LB - glad the GP helped and I hope DS has been better today.

Moosy - glad the B6 is helping, now you just have to try to enjoy feeling less crappy .

Glask - yah for Rubys weight gain.

Hey BB, I am 19 weeks and just look a bit more podgy than usual - it's def not a nice bump, I just appear to have lost my waist. I'm getting bump envy too along with movement envy - I'm getting impatient to feel the beanie move (I'm always so impatient ).

Hi to everyone else, sorry for all I've forgotten.

DP and I went pram browsing today and luckily we both really like the Britax Vigour 3+ so that's that decision made. The woman in the store said it would lie flat so you don't need the carrycot bit. DPs eyes lit up at saving £100 but I don't think it looks very comfy or protected for a newborn, esp in winter, so I'd rather get the carrycot. Am I just being a fussy first-time pram shopper? Ses - am I remembering right that you got the Britax, did you get the carrycot?

Moosy · 02/05/2009 18:56

BB, I have bump envy too and I'm only 9 weeks! Sure mine will show soon enough though, I have NO stomach muscles! And well done on losing 16lbs, I seem to remember you saying ages ago that you wanted to lose some weight (I hope I'm right and haven't just really offended you! ). I always lose weight in the 1st trimester too. Am currently down 4lbs but it's going very slowly now and I still have 2lbs 'spare'

Just had Chinese and have eaten loads!

lardybump · 02/05/2009 21:19

evening all. Hope you are well.. Not much to report here sun has been shinning and we had a nice BBQ, DS has been quiet sick but not unhappy so all is well. We are going to the seaside tomorrow so wont be on until the evening again when you are all doing something more interesting....

lardybump · 02/05/2009 21:26

ses I have started a new game hope thats ok and its your go.....

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/05/2009 23:35

Evening!
Just back from meal out for friend's birthday. If you'd have told me 8 months ago I'd be such a dirty stop out with one week to go, I'd have been !

LB - glad you had a nice BBQ. Enjoy your day tomorrow. I'll get back on to FB scrabble tomorrow

Those of you with bump envy, I think I'm finally getting to the stage where I've had enough and I'm happy to share!

Mind has gone blank now - think I'm tired!
G'night!!

mommyinthemiddle · 03/05/2009 09:06

Morning everyone, sorry for my AWOL again. Not able to spend as much time as i would like on computer at my nanas as she moans!

Read your birth story Gruff and you did amazing, and sound so upbeat about it.i was

Ses- can't believe you are being very socialable in your last few weeks, don't blame you girl take advantage of it. Not long for you now.

Moosy and BB with bump envy i have a big enough one to share the little b**r keeps putting its knees or feet up into right ribs and kills, even lying down i can still feel it!

NJ- very jealous on the wine front, over the past few days have felt like getting wasted!

Tink- all your purhases look fab and pictures of girls on facebook are cute.

Moosy- the B6 sounds like a miracle cure, wish i had known about it about 30 weeks ago

Hi to everyone else.

Feeling rather good at nearly 38 weeks, just hoping babe makes an appaerance soon. Keep thinking i am starting but then no, just tricking myself. Tried to find cervix yesterday!!!! No such luck. Hoping the midwife will attempt a sweep at 39 weeks as she said she would early on. Drinking 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day and thinking about starting some herbal pills i had last two times next week. Have had a dodgy stomach past 2 days and today when i walk i get period type pains! probably just in my head again! Taking DD to cinema so better get a wriggle on.

Kayzr · 03/05/2009 09:09

Morning,

LB, hope you have a lovely day at the beach. I would love to go to the beach today. It is glorious here!!

BB, I was about 16 weeks with DS1 when I got my bump, so could be soon!!

We went to mums last night and when DS1 decided it was time to feed the pigs he shouted "Swine Flu" at them!! It was the most funny thing I have seen in ages. He obviously pays more attention to the news than we thought he did. His new sayings are 'swine flu', 'Barry Island'(my brother taught him that) and 'How rude'!!

Hope you are all having good weekends.

Kayzr · 03/05/2009 10:04

Just some pics of ducklings, the boys and that new train.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 03/05/2009 10:21

Morning

Kay - those piccies are lovely! Cute ducklings and your boys are really photogenic. I especially like the ones of the two of them lying on their tummies

MINM - Good to hear from you. I can't imagine how difficult things are for you living in between homes at the moment. You never know, ifI'm late and you're early, your LO could be here first!!
I must go and dig out our syndicates from the old thread...

IDOB - we've got the Vigour 4+. We've not bothered with the carrycot but I guess the need for snugness won't be so great (hopefully!) with a May baby. Once it's in use, I'll update you further!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 03/05/2009 10:28

Morning! Wow SES 39 weeks - seems a lifetime ago that we were worrying about early scans etc! Just think, this time next week you could have a tiny baby in your arms...Agree,good on you getting out, make the most of it

KAYZ, gorgeous piccies! Love the 'How rude' saying of ds1. Any chance you could give him a nudge to say it to MIL at the appropriate time?
MIM, good to hear from you! Baby sounds nice and active for 38 weeks - I think my lot had slowed down by then and didn't kick so much as 'squirm'. This one is totally different and had a very active evening last night - still head down I think. Hope you feel a bit more settled for the next few weeks - must be tough x
Hope everyone is ok. Had loads of bh last night - think I overdid it a little. Hoping for a quiet one - need to mark some exam scripts so hopefully dh will get out of bed and take over shortly .

tinkishappy · 03/05/2009 13:18

afternoon

bb wow 14 weeks sure bump will come soon

diege - dd1 was born end of aug
dd2 middle of jan
dd1 wore a light jacket from 3 months,
dd2 has just been wearing a jumper or cardi.
in summer cardi or jumper or light coat should be fine

idofb - pram shopping is exciting

lb - seaside sounds good

mitm - not long for you

kay - lol luv baby ducklingd

ses - not long now

having a quiet day popped top tesco for some teethers for bracken. dh has gone out to take pics of flowers this aft.
dd1 is enjoying sand and water table dd2 is asleep in the cot

Diege · 03/05/2009 14:11

Thanks Tinks . May look at getting a lightly padded jacket - not holding out on the promised heatwave for this summer!
Sounds like you're having a nice day - love the piccies on facebook btw - bedroom is gorgeous

mommyinthemiddle · 03/05/2009 15:33

Hi i'm back from the cinema. Watched HSM3, DD1 loved it DD2 a bit fidgity.
Still having period pains
DH just phoned from work, having a bad day and said hurry up and get that baby out so i can have 2 weeks off!!!! MEN

Come on girls what can i do to encourage babymim to say hello?

Ses- have you packed the baby bag yet? Finally finished both mine, labour and hospital (i think) Just got birth plan to finalise.

Who has read the marie mongan hypnobirthing book and listened to CD? Did you use it in labour and did it help? Been reading the book for weeks but just can't seem to get through it. Now on breathing techniques but haven't got time to practice! Listened to CD a few times but always at night in bed and end up falling asleep.
I was also thinking of jacket/coat scenario but seeing as we will be in America within 2 months of baby being born thought not worth it.

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 03/05/2009 15:56

Sounds like something's happening MINM but the problem is we nevver know exactly what! could be your LO moving down into place or could be the start of something!
I've got that hypnobirthing book and CD but seem to have done the opposite to you - not really read the book but have listened to the CD a few times (often falling asleep to it )
Err... well... bags still not completely packed...

I'm feeling a bit wierd this afternoon. Nothing dramatic just a bit weak/light headed and pelvis more uncomfortable. Haven't done much more than normal today but will maybe try and rest up for a bit.

Mum's phoned and asked me and DH over for lunch tomorrow. Will be nice to get a good meal cooked for us but just hope she's behaving herself!

tink - DD1's bedroom is gorgeous! The pink and green go really well and it's just so cute

Diege · 03/05/2009 15:57

Hi MIM, glad dds enjoyed the filem. Have to say found it rather easy on the eye iyswim (sad old perv that I am..). Period pains sounds v.positive - did you have them leading up to the birth with dds?
