Hi Sorry to jump in late have found out am 6 weeks and due 10th / 11th dec.

I can't talk to anyone else until 12 weeks so really wanted to see if anyone else was due around the same time.

whistlejacket · 16/04/2009 21:28

Oh no someone guessed I was pg today! I denied it as I don't know her really well and we're not telling people yet. She was very apologetic and said she thought I looked pg and to be honest my tummy is already bigger and rounder and I'm only 5w + 5d. That's what happens when you're expecting DC3 I guess, tummy just resumes pregnant shape. Don't see how I can keep this secret for long - desperately trying to pull those tummy muscles in! I felt bad fibbing and saying I wasn't too.

becksworth · 17/04/2009 11:46

Am a newbie to mumsnet and to pregnancy! Can I pull up a pew?

I think I'm in my 5th week - no real symptoms yet. Just insomnia (but that's probably cos I'm so excited ). Been TTC DC1 since Nov last year.

I read that MS normally kicks in around 7 weeks - am I right? Not told anyone yet, apart from DH - we've decided not to tell anyone until it feels 'real'... WHEN will it feel real?!

Ooh and I'm dying to buy myself a nice juicy pregnancy book/manual/idiot's guide. Any recommendations?

Have added myself to the list:

Hi Becksworth and welcome

I'm due on Dec 20th, so about the same stage as you Insatiable appetite kicked in yesterday and I'm feeling seasick / nauseous today - strangely reassured though as my nausea was never this bad during my last pregancy that ended in MC ...

Not on the list yet as I don't really feel confident enough to join officially till I've had an early scan and seen a heartbeat, but am lurking Have booked GP appt for Tuesday - couldn't get the GP I wanted to see, so am hoping the lady I am booked in with will allow me to book an early scan - fingers crossed.

I got The Rough Guide to Pregnancy and Birth lighthearted but fun and reasonably informative without being too dry

charleymouse · 17/04/2009 15:04

HI guys,

Had my scan yesterday and saw my blob with nice strong heartbeat Edd is now the 3rd dec it was the 1st dec. Feel alittle more relaxed but still nervous that something will go wrong.

also feel crap ladies, have sickness which comes in waves, very tired and i start a new job on mon and hrs are mon tues weds fri 9-6 not sure how i will cope with that! Feel dizzy and cant be bothered to do anything which just isnt me. My house is a state.

Am not going to add myself to the list as yet still to nervous and dont want to jinz anything.

Jools Hi, will hold your hand i hope you get the early scan it can realy help. me and DH are going to book a private scan at 10 weeks i just want to be sure all will still be going well is all, i know i'll have one at 12 weeks but just want that reassuarnce.

delilahnancy · 18/04/2009 11:38

Hi I'd like to join - first baby due on 6th December - been trying for nearly two years so completely delighted. I'm so excited but we haven't told anyone yet... I'm new to all this as well, feel a bit stupid for asking but what's DC2, DD etc stand for?? I know you're talking about other kids but can't work it out!!

Joolsiam · 18/04/2009 13:20

Hi Ray - fab news on the scan

Am having a major wobble today - that clearblue digi with conception indicator is still only saying PG 1 - 2 when I should be 5 weeks tomorrow. It said the same on Monday - am beginning to worry that my HCG levels are not increasing fast enough

Pregnancy post MC = paranoia city

Claire236 · 18/04/2009 13:32

Joolsiam - I know a few people who've used those clear clue tests & had incorrect readings from them so try not to worry too much. Or if you can't stop worrying maybe a trip to your GP would help.

MW phoned yesterday to tell me my scan is on 20 May. Since then someone has told me that your 12 week scan is an internal one here which I've had before when they thought I had ovarian cysts & wasn't very pleasant. Not about to start worrying about it though, not until it gets a bit closer anyway.

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 18/04/2009 14:11

Would like to say Hi to everyone here as I got my BFP this morning so looks like DC2 will be due 21st Dec. We already have DD (2.5) so DH has his fingers crossed for a boy this time. Slightly alarmed at due date, but as my birthday's on 23rd Dec at least I know what to do to make DC2's birthday special from Christmas

Have only told my sister as she knew we've been trying for nearly a year and has been deflecting my parents comments on starting to have another child Will try and hold off telling anyone else for a few weeks, it's nice having a little secret.

So far no symptons but then last time it kicked in at 6 weeks

jollyjoanne · 18/04/2009 16:04

Sorry to boycott the page - Hi Lolianja - Congratulations! again from the March 09 thread x

I'm sooo anxious this time round. I keep getting loads of twinges in my lower right abdomen. I'm half convinced that I'm having an EP.

It seems like far too long until I can have a scan.

pattymc · 19/04/2009 18:43

Hi I have been following but feeling a bit nervous, 5 weeks in and due on the 20th and this is my 2nd ( I have ds 20 months). When I was pregnant first time I never even contemplated idea of any problems but I have no symptons at all at the moment and just don\t feel pregnant apart from a bit of tiredness. anyone else feel completely normal at this stage? my last period was march 12th. can't shake the feeling that this time won't be perfect like last time BUT banishing negative thoughts right now - what will be will be and I will be following this thread and am sending lots of congratulations to everyone.

Joolsiam · 19/04/2009 19:49

Hi PattyMC We share the same due date I have no DC and miscarried at 11+5 in Nov (first pregnancy), so am very anxious about this one. I was bemoaning the lack of symptoms, then had 2 days of feeling really quite nauseous if I didn't eat every 3 hours and desperately tired !! Today, apart from mild nausea this morning, I've been fine - at the gym, shopping, gardening, cooking a big dinner ...

I am adopting the head in the sand style of coping - nothing I can do if it is going to go wrong, too early to get a scan so what will be will be.

People keep telling me that symptoms often don't kick in till around 6 weeks, so hang in there and we can obsess / panic and symptom spot together

lilymolly · 19/04/2009 19:51

Lolianga Congratulations!!!

Although I did ride my horse 6 weeks after dd after a very large episiotomy

pattymc · 19/04/2009 20:21

thanks joolsiam and I'm feeling very positive, all will be good x. I say I have no symptoms but I have gone off my daily fix of porridge in the morning and breakfast is now cheerios - probably not the healthiest choice!
does anyone else find themselves waking at night and being totally wide awake and not able to get back to sleep - can't remember this happening so early on in the pregnancy 1st time round but I think a part of it is the excitement of being pregnant. I was 6 days over due with ds1 so I could be looking at a christmas day baby, my birthday is on new years eve so a festive time for our family
