Hi all

1st time so very slow/unsure on the protocol for things still not seen GP will do this week.
Happy to join you gals for the journey all advice very needed n welcome.

SAEJ · 12/04/2009 17:43

Hi,
Think I may be joining you ladies - have DS who is 9 months and DH and I have been TTC in a very relaxed fashion for the past couple of months. Am now late and have just spent an unpleasant morning at work throwing up - just like with my gorgeous DS - so yuck but soooooooo worth it!

Looks like I will be due Dec 20th if my suspicions are confirmed this evening - went a very miserable week overdue with DS so I am pretty sure I will be having a big bloated Xmas (same as usual then!!).

Can't wait, sooooo excited already!

fairywing · 13/04/2009 08:15

Hi all, feeling a bit this morning. Yesterday i was feeling really positive. I felt awful! really sick, trapped wind, indigestion, constipation (nice!!)all good signs i thought. Today i wake up and all my symptoms have gone. No nausea, tummy is fine, no sore boobs. Realised ive felt no stretching sensations for a couple of days now. Doesn't look good really does it. Last time, although i didn't miscarry until almost 12 weeks it was this week that things must have started to go wrong as at 8 weeks i was only measuring 5+5 and im 5+1 today. Nothing i can do about it really. I'm not at docs till next monday as he's on holiday so will try to get an early scan then. Think i probably meed to prepare myself though.

deanychip · 13/04/2009 08:21

Ah fairywing, i know what you mean, but i have been similar.
Last night boobs killing me, this morning...nothing, by tea time they are killing me again.
symptoms come and go.

xxxxx

fairywing · 13/04/2009 08:24

I hope you are right - i can't help but worry. I'm not sure i can take two miscarriages in the space of 4 months .

deanychip · 13/04/2009 08:30

Fairy, i know (been there, had 3 mcs myself)
Its difficult to relax, or not to think of the worse.

I have dread at the pit of my stomach with every unusual twinge, feeling etc.

I just think negative all of the time, then anything else becomes a tiny bonus doesnt it.

Was just saying that my symptoms do ebb and flow.
Think that most peoples do.

fairywing · 13/04/2009 13:44

Deanychip i think you were right. Appologies for the slightly irrational outburst I have had a nice relaxed soak in the bath and have since realised i have sore nipples again, am feeling a little nauseous after doing a bit of housework and just remembered the bizarrely inappropriate dream i had last night . Plus i just did another test and i know it means nothing really but the line is the strongest i have ever had - stronger that the control line even!! So perhaps i was a little hasty in thinking the worst. I have to stop doing that but its so much harder to think positively sometimes.

loobyboo · 14/04/2009 10:36

Found out last night that baby no 3 is on its way yeh i think!!!!

About 6 weeks due 6th Dec??

Abit worried as DD2 has recently had the chicken pox 2 weeks ago, before i realised that i was probably pregnant. Waiting to go see GP as very busy after the easter break, I had them twice when i was a child.

Also having to think about all the things that comes with having DVT after DD2 (nearly 4) was born and then last year being diagonised with a gentic blood clotting disorder Factor V Leiden,so may have injections, stockings (wear them now anyway).

Will fill more sorted when seen GP.

Congratulations to everyone

JumpingJellyfish · 14/04/2009 12:47

Hello all- fairywing hope you are ok. It is so so hard not to find yourself looking for things that might be going wrong based on your last horrible experience, but symptoms are so unreliable. I really hope your doc can offer some reassurance.Big hugs to you.

loobyboo congrats! This is DC3 here for me too, if things all go to plan. It is both exciting and bloomin scary (I'll have 3 under 5...arghhh...though know of many with shorter gaps and they've survived-just about!). I also have clotting issues but mine remain undiagnosed- had severe pre-eclampsia with DS and mild PE with DD. They are starting me on baby aspirin and depending on their current opinion possibly heparin injections next week. But I need to have a CVS at around 12 weeks so will have to stop those meds for at least a week around that which worries me a lot. I feel so much safer on aspirin, as know it probably accounted for a much healthier second pregnancy. Anyhow- will hold you hand through this! The DVT must have been so scary.

How is everyone doing? I've started to feel pretty nauseous and I'm only 6 weeks today... But can still eat so it's not too bad!

4thtimelucky · 14/04/2009 13:37

Hello All! Another one for the Dec 09 thread!

Had a rough couple of weeks with "expectant management" for ectopic but looks from last week's internal scan as if all OK now. Also hospital stay showed really high blood pressure which is something I've had on and off for a long time so I guess I will be having lots of monitoring.

I am scared to get excited but it's sooooooo hard not to. And how much bigger can my boobs (especially my nipples, sorry if TMI!!) get?!! Nauseaous most mornings but not actually sick yet - guess there is a lot of time for that tho as 6w+5 today, my edd is 3rd Dec - can't wait .

BoredWithWork · 14/04/2009 14:43

can I join the dec 09 club please?

found out yesterday, going by the MN calculator i reckon edd is 18th December. this will be dc 2 for me, ds is now 18months.

doctors on friday to get everything confirmed. Feel okay, just tired and very hungry!

1istrulyscrumptious · 14/04/2009 17:28

hi can i join you ladies for a chat and the occassional moan.. first baby due on the 3rd of DEC.. i feel dreadful also Flumity!! anyone else?

Claire236 · 14/04/2009 19:49

I feel like crap. Got a cold, been getting lots of stomach pains which I thought had stopped until they woke me up at 3am, exhausted, nauseous, nipples unbelievably sore & my trousers are too tight already. How can that be right. I'm really hot as well - is that pg related? Rant over, I'm not really a miserable cow honest.

crunchynutter · 14/04/2009 21:29

Claire I am the same! My trousers and bras are now too tight I have been having dizzy spells, nausea and am constantly tires I also burn up and keep panicking that i have a temperature and that can't be good for the baby! It is strangely comforting to know i'm not alone in feeling like this though...

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 21:36

Just popping my head round the door to say a quick hello

Looks like I am 4+2, due on Dec 20th but, owing to a previous MC at 11+5 in November (first pregnancy), I'm a bag of nerves and leaving my head firmly in the sand for now.

No symptoms yet apart from absence of AF and I've only done one PG test so far !! Will probably be back more actively if I have a good early scan

Sticky vibes to all

Moosy · 14/04/2009 22:19

My trousers are too tight already too, I'm feeling tired and bleurgh all the time, being hungry, eating, and feeling full all make me feel sick. Oh and I keep getting really really cold. Good times!

Hello all - I'm new and have been lurking but after today feel I might gently join in if that's OK?

Been TTC since Jan 09 and on Sat got a positive test. First pregnancy and although took the decision to try when I saw the positive I had a freak out and started shaking and feeling completely weird - up and down like the proverbial whores drawers.
Went to my GP today and she confirmed that I'm about 4 1/2 wks gone.
Feel better but just can't figure out these symptoms . . . intermittent belly ache - gentle and low down, acne (yep, great at 39yrs) and acid indigestion.

Feel nervous and that I'm adjusting to the concept rather than actually happy.

Is this all normal??

BestLaidPlans · 15/04/2009 10:08

Hello, I've been lurking too, is it ok to add myself? Been TTC since September, still not entiely convinced this one is going to stick as it feels like my period is about to arrive any second. Though to be honest I doubt I'll really believe it until there's an actual baby here! Congratulations to everyone.

Pumpkin20 · 15/04/2009 11:32

Congrats to all newcomers!

Julia - yes is the answer to your question. However, if 'normal' is what you felt before you conceived then don't expect that state to return until at least 2010 when baby is 2-3 months and gives you a great big smile. Until then feeling completely weird, freaking out and anxiety are par for the course.

It's a rollercoaster. Stick with us and when you feel like you are going bonkers you'll know that you are not the only one.

Joolsiam · 15/04/2009 11:42

Not adding myself to any lists till I get through an early scan - to say I am nervous about this PG is the biggest understatement going !!

When do symptoms kick in ? All I have is raging insomnia, overheating at night and absence of AF - am waiting for the tiredness and nausea to hit so this actually feels real !! 4+3 today

Moosy · 15/04/2009 11:49

Jools IME most symptoms kick in at about 6-7 weeks, but some people don't ever get any at all, so don't worry if you feel fine, just think yourself lucky you're not puking!

loobyboo · 16/04/2009 12:38

feel alot happier now heard from GP about the situation regarding the blood clotting issues will start injections from 10 weeks, risk before 12 weeks are alot less, so can stop worrying for a bit ( as this has been a big part of my life for the past 4 years, lots of issues a long story)

now waiting to see midwife can see her at 8 weeks.

I feel quite different about this pregnancy than the other two, i never believe i was going to have a baby untill they were born, its also funny having a secret that noone knows, we have told noone yet.
