SpringySunshine · 17/03/2009 12:25

To be honest, making "the balls are also just quite comfy to sit on, and have a gentle bounce" smutty isn't the most difficult task...

AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 12:25

Ooh, it worked. And I am totally unrecognisable, they've shrunk the photo so small.
Off to upload one of DS now...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 12:26

Auld thats a lovely neat lil bump

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 17/03/2009 12:26

Pretty background, too - not quite Sheffield

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 12:29

we're back onto phallic furniture does yours recline and have armrests??

OP posts:
AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 12:31

Springy, I think the size of the photo is flattering! It doesn't feel neat.
And if having a small bump requires the baby being all squashed up in the wrong position, I'd go with a bigger bump, personally...
Have done DS now.

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 12:32

My bump is not in the dainty camp either. Getting serious bump envy after all these postings.

DH took a pic of my bump the other day but I was naked so won't be posting that one. Will get him to take a clothed one for general consumption.

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 12:33

Aah did you struggle to sleep on your left side Auld? I kept rolling right last night and DH kept rolling me back onto my left side. He's very strict.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 12:36

awww your ds is a sweety auld

OP posts:
LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 12:36

Talking of phallic furniture I saw the most extraordinary thing on t'internet the other day. Not sure I'd be able to find it again but perhaps will try later when DD is asleep and unlikely to try and gawp at what's on screen.

It was kind of like a mofified rocking chair with a huge dildo which moved up and down as the woman rocked (more and more speedily!).

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 12:36

I borrowed the ball from a buddy, but they have them on Ebay for reasonable prices, I think. The one I've got is 65cm and I'm 5'10", and it's just about big enough. It needs to be high enough so that when you sit on it your thighs are pointing slightly downhill, or at least level with floor, so pelvis is raised up and forwards.

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 12:37

Please, smutty up as needed!

AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 12:38

LuLu, I just can't do it, it's pathetic.
I can't find a comfortable spot on my hip and my arm kept going to sleep, I didn't know where to put it . You'd think it'd be just like sleeping on the other side, but in reverse, only for some reason it's completemy unnatural to me. Actually, I think it's partly because I have one side longer than the other, and that hip is bigger than the right hand one.

BUT I have an optimistic feeling that it has shifted the baby a bit, as he clearly didn't like the position, went into some fairly major contortions and is now (I think), not so bunched up on one side. Have to wait till next MW's appointment for confirmation.

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 12:38

Am going to try and take photo of bump.

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 12:38

Sorry modified rocking chair. But actually more like a glidey chair (Boffin )

AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 12:39

completemy = completely, obviously

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 12:40

Auld - what about if you switch sides in the bed? I find that facing outwards, towards wall, feels most natural for me, so if I'm on the other side of the bed, I face the other way.

DH has had to put up with me, for most of the last 10 years, spontaneously deciding which side of the bed I want each night!

AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 12:43

Ooh, juwesm, that would be a major undertaking. I am very attached to my side of the bed, had to fight DH for it for about the 1st year of our relationship, so am not going to renounce it lightly.
Might try it tonight, though.
That'd spice up our nocturnal life no end.

On that subject, should we be avoiding sex if the cervix is open/dilated (still not sure of right term in English...)?? MW didn't say anything about it.

BoffinMum · 17/03/2009 12:44

I have just put everything into the machine again, this time with some laundry bleach, but will try Reckett's Blue if that fails. It's sounds sensible, although I am worried it will dye everything blue.

Nutty, a hair dying question for you. When I have my half head of highlights done, why do I always look like I have a stripe halfway down my head? Would it be better to have a full head? Or is this unavoidable if you have had your hair coloured before? Or is it the hairdresser?

Also now a style/cutting question (btw thanks for previous advice on hair washing, scalp problem of DS1 has now disappeared). Where can I find pictures of good haircuts for boys? Mine look permanently goofy after I have taken them to the hairdresser. Even DH thinks so.
