OK, it's way too early to test yet, and I'm probably tempting fate here, but I've got classic morning sickness, the dates are just about right, and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. And I've always wanted to start one of these due in threads .

And if the blue line winks at me in 10 days time, then I'll come clean and post under my real nickname.

Any one else?

hi all am cuatiously posting as have had afaint pos yesterday.
Am a bit dubious as we have had 3 mcs but do have one fantastic DS who is 18mths. Will restest tommorow so wish me luck...would be good to have an xmas babe as my missed mc last year was found on 16th dec and i had to have erpc on 30th dec...so need some good news...arghhh

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 09:59

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while - I've had computer problems!!!

Sorry to hear of those of you that have had losses - I know how awful it feels and my thoughts are with you.

It's nice to see this thread filling up a bit. We'll have to do a list of everyone so far at some point.

I have my booking in appt on Wed with the midwife - I will be about 6.5 weeks then. Hopefully I should be booked in for a scan before the end of April.
I've started getting a bit of morning sickness - just feeling sick, not actually being sick.

The worst bit for me is always the tirdness - it knocks me for six. I've had to go to bed for a snooze for the last few days. Dh is very understanding though - he knows I get exauhausted very easily and will quite happily look after dd and cook tea while I have a quick sleep

expatinscotland · 11/04/2005 10:11

Well, I'm definitely not the image of the blooming, flushing pregnant woman. I forgot, until yesterday, the humiliation of being sick in the middle of the day on the busiest street in Edinburgh. By then I had at least learned to bring a carrier bag along w/me wherever I went, but oh, the 'you disgusting drunk saddo' whilst I was sick in a bag!

Yes, pregnancy is about as romantic as Victor Mildrew.

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 11:04

ok can offically join as my clearblue digi test has shown pregnant....arghhhhhhhh loads of sticky babydust to all

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:11

Nemo, Congrats - thats fab!!!

If your anything like me you'll still be testing in a weeks time to see if it's still a BFP!!!

Although I have resisted temptation for over a week now - the sick feeling is a sure sign of pregnancy.

Lets hope we're all here with healthy little bundles of joy come Xmas!!!

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 11:14

Qc am deffo like u and will prob be testing constantly

expatinscotland · 11/04/2005 11:16

Congrats, Nemo! Wishing you a sick free, happy and healthy 9 months.

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:18

Nemo,

I will be very worried about this pregnancy sticking until I get to about 20 wks - Seems such a long way away!!!

When is your estimated due date - I'm trying to put a list together!!!

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 11:20

Qc think its 22nd dec
will be very cautious too as have had 3 mcs now but i do have my dc...wishing us lots of health

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:24

Nemo,

I can't imagine how worried you must be!! I would have locked myself in the house by now and refused to leave my bed!!!

I never really understood before when people said they didn't care what sex their baby was - they just wanted ot to be healthy - I thought people would always have a secret prefference (I know I did) But I really couldn't care less what this baby is - I just want it to be OK.

I know I will be monitered very closly this time round (scans at 9,12,16 and 20 weeks) but it doesn't stop the fear that one of those scans will show a little baby with no heartbeat.

Sorry to be down - YEAH WE'RE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!
And bloody good luck to all of us!!!!

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:27

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 11:29

lol qc can understand the worry
I had missed mc with last one over xmas week so thought i was 15wks but went to scan to be told there was no heartbeat
i do sincerely just wish us all healthys babes and healthy lives

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:32

How far gone were you Nemo.

I carried to about 17 weeks but when the baby was born we were told he only measured about 13 weeks. We lost him xmas week but didn't find out until the end of January.

Did you have to go through labour as I did? Sorry to ask personal questions - feel free to tell me to bog off if you like I'm a very nosey person!!!

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 11:35

its ok ask away
didnt go thru labour cos baby had stopped at 9wks they told me best option was a erpc...which tbh was good but also horrible as u dont stop worrying that they got it wrong...however with my natural mcs there was nothing anyone could do...im sorry u had to give birth it must have been a horrendous experience

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 11:40

I thought it would be awful but actually it was very peacful and I'm really glad thats what happened.

We got to see our little baby which really set me at rest - as you said, I was really worried they had got it wrong.

I can't imagine how painful it must be to have gone through a m/c 3 times. My MIL had 2 and I'm just hoping that I don't have another.

My baby was ill which is very comforting to me - he never would have survived. The Dr said unless the same problem occurs I'm not at any higher risk of mc than any normal woman.

boowidger · 11/04/2005 12:01

Hope everyone is well. Just had to go and have our dog put down which was very sad but he had a good 15 years. I've realised today just how unsexy being pregnant is - trapped wind, constipation and being knackered is not what i was expecting! However, feel that as long as i have these symptoms then all is going well so they're a blessing in disguise! Had my first social function yesterday since finding out and most people have guessed as i wasn't drinking! Can't keep these things quiet for long... Latest name that dh has suggested is Tanis for a boy. It's a character from one of his fantasy adventure books. Glad he's getting involved and suppose Tanis is a step up from Garian!!

scully · 11/04/2005 12:09

Just did 2 tests this morning, with little lines appearing in all the right places, so looks like I can join this as well now
Going to the doctor this afternoon to have it all confirmed but I think my due date is 16 Dec.

Frizbe · 11/04/2005 12:10

wow congrats Scully

scully · 11/04/2005 12:30

thx, very very happy to see those faint lines this morning! might have to buy just one more test to make sure
don't feel pregnant though, except for dd1 winding me up more than normal and sore boobs

quietlycautious · 11/04/2005 13:17

Congrats Scully - welcome to the Dec club!!!

Sorry to hear about your dog boo - it's a horrible thing isn't it - wish there was something I could say to make you feel better - instead I'll just send hugs!!!!

LipstickMum · 11/04/2005 13:23
