Due in December 05

OK, it's way too early to test yet, and I'm probably tempting fate here, but I've got classic morning sickness, the dates are just about right, and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. And I've always wanted to start one of these due in threads .

And if the blue line winks at me in 10 days time, then I'll come clean and post under my real nickname.

Any one else?

Oooh ChaCha, I'm so jealous of you being so far along. I'm only 4+5. So long to go until I can relax.

Nemo, can you have another word with your doctor or call the EPU yourself? That seems ridiculous that they aren't allowing you an early scan. Surely they don't want you to be under more stress than you already will be after your m/cs. I'll go mad if they try to fob me off tomorrow.

DQ, I'm dreading what I'm going to be like if I ever have more than 1 baby. My tummys gone to pot already!!

What's wrong with Nemo, why the early scan?

George, i just keep looking at the calendar for the 12 week mark, its just nerve racking..i guess the next 7 months will be like this full stop.

ChaCha · 28/04/2005 21:56

Kangel, you make me laugh LOL
Your story about the chips, that is so me. I nagged and nagged for a stodgy baked potato with cheese and beans, had about 5 mouthfuls and made my way to the bathroom before declaring exhaustion flat out on bed.
Actually slept for about 3 hours after work today but woke up sick, sick, sick. Am off food but hungry! Love to all x

Nemo1977 · 28/04/2005 22:09

evening all

minnie I have spoken to the nurse i used to have cos i had/ have depression and she has very kindly offered to write me a letter to take to midwife to say i need an early scan due to effect on mental health and wiht prior history....so fingers crossed that will get me the scan. Its the sititng waiting to see if this bean is 'viable' that is killing me. Sorry to moan all i am trying to be positive but am just getting down..although i am 7 wks tommorow and my 2 natural mcs were at 5 and 6 wks. However my missed mc was between 8-9 .....

expressmummy · 28/04/2005 22:32

hi all well no bleeding since tue morning now im shattered and my boobs are killing me i cant rember being this tired with the other two but it was nearly six yrs ago
hope you are all feeling well x x x x

dramaqueen72 · 28/04/2005 23:15

nemo, 7wks already! its really going for you hope you get that scan. with dd2 (who was after one missed mc/)they showed me a heartbeat at six wks (tiniest dot ever! ) and showed me how a strong heartbeat at above a certain rate (cant remember rate, will ask when i'm at scan tho) 9 times out of ten leads on to a successful pg. I KNOW many people have had scans that were okay and then gone on to lose the baby, and i agree its no certainty, but is a massive reassurance. with the missed m/c at 8wks (thought i was 11) they told me the heart had never formed properly enough, and this would of shown up at six wk scan, had i had one. I dont know if this is all exact facts, or things they say to help us stop worrying, but it comforts me that dd2 showed a strong heartbeat at six wks.so if this one does I will relax (just a bit!) more...did that make sense? i hope so, it was to reassure you anyhow.

dramaqueen72 · 28/04/2005 23:16

express mummy, forget to say, my dd2 was NINE years after my last!! it hit me really hard, the tiredness and all, because i was remembering with 'rose tinted glasses' good news on the stopped bleeding, so glad for you.

sweetheart · 29/04/2005 09:28

Hello hope everyone is well this morning - have loads of posts to catch up on but first a long post from me sorry......

The post mortum shows that he had a hole in his heart but also that the side that pumps the blood round the body (left???) wasn't formed properly.

They are not sure why he stopped growing at 13 weeks or why my body held onto him for a further 4 weeks + but they said it's probably because the rest of his organs weren't getting enough blood to develop.

Apparently he could have continued to develop like this for longer but he never would have lived in this condition so in a way I'm glad we lost him when we did.

As my father was born with a hole in his heart we are now considered to have a family history of heart problems and so I will be watched more closly. I am being booked into Guy's Hospital for a special 18 week scan which will concentrate on the heart and let us know if this baby has any problems.

Apparently I have a 90-95% chance of everything being normal.

I also had a scan whilst I was there and saw a tiny little heartbeat which was very reassuring.

Thanks for all your concern. Hopefully in about 10 weeks I can post that this baby has no heart probelms!!!!!

Melanie75 · 29/04/2005 09:37

Hi everyone,

Got my second scan today - just coming up for seven weeks. had one last week, which showed that the cause of all my bleeding was in fact a blood clot which is sharing my uterus with the baby! ( I had diagnosed myself with everything but this, prior to the scan!!)

Last week, they could just see the sac. Today we are hoping to see baby and maybe even heartbeat.

Does anyone have any experiance or knowledge about blood clots in early stages of pregnancy?

george32 · 29/04/2005 10:09

Sweetheart I'm so glad your scan went well . It must be good to have something so conclusive back from the p/m and that they can now monitor you in the future and re-assuring that the rate of everything being "normal" is so high.
{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}} for you today.
Good luck for you too Melanie. I do hope everything goes well at your scan.

I've just come back from my doctor and she is just so lovely. First words after congratulating me were, right, I'm going to send you in for an early scan so that we can see that everything is OK.
Official EDD is 20th Dec which puts me at 6+3, however I know I'm only 4+6 really!!
I need to phone to book my scan, when would everyone recommend?

sweetheart · 29/04/2005 10:28

Is anyone else having trouble with this thread???? I think it's getting too full - any votes for starting Due in Dec 2!?!?!?!?!?!?

It's very quiet here today

I've been toying with the idea of going to this

It's in Birmingham in May but I think thats a bit early - they are doing a London one in Oct but is that too late????? The exhibitors list is huge amd they useually offer big discounts at things like this but shurly in Oct the delivery time would be too short for December!?!?!?!?!?!

What do you think?????

george32 · 29/04/2005 10:56

Are you on dial up by any chance Sweetheart??? Good job you weren't on the www.orderyourbabyhere.com thread. They can't end it as it has been so lucky but it is just sooooooooo long now!!

Oooohhh I love the idea of a baby show - it's all new to me this!! May is just too early for me though.

I think everyone is out & about enjoying the sunshine today.

NotTellingYet · 29/04/2005 10:58

A new thread's a good idea - after all we're probably past the point now where anyone only just getting a BFP will be on January instead of December.

scully · 29/04/2005 11:01

well sadly I'm not enjoying the sunshine - sitting in an office
and I'm hungry and nothing here appeals and I don't want to eat heaps before lunch - moan moan
great news about the scan sweetheart, hopefully the next one will give you the all clear.
I didn't go to a baby show last time, think they would be great but too tempting to spend too much!!
May's maybe a bit too early, but October should be ok, especially if you go there with a good idea of what you want/like.

george32 · 29/04/2005 11:21

Oh Scully, I'm sorry. Think the weather will last over the bank holiday though so at least you will get to see it over the weekend

NTY - good point about the Dec / Jan due dates. Sweetheart, are you going to start the new thread for us???

sweetheart · 29/04/2005 11:37

the new thread is here

I have broadband - I just have trouble scrolling to the bottom of the page when it gets full up - the bar thing keeps shooting to the top!!!

Anyway, here's to thread No2 - I'm raising a glass of Ribena
