OK, it's way too early to test yet, and I'm probably tempting fate here, but I've got classic morning sickness, the dates are just about right, and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. And I've always wanted to start one of these due in threads .

And if the blue line winks at me in 10 days time, then I'll come clean and post under my real nickname.

Any one else?

sweetheart no due date yet as have yet to see doc
Just a bit excited and don't want to tell lots of RL people - know I can trust you MNetters! will let you know as soon as I have it. Only just missed period and had BFP on Saturday so I guess it will be towards the end of Dec.
Yes, that's what I thought goldenoldie! can't remember sweating like a hog last time wonder what it means!

sweetheart · 25/04/2005 16:46

what was the first day of your last period??? We can put a rough date in for you.

ninah · 25/04/2005 16:53

well this is where I'm rubbish
I know I had a period in March cos I was gutted but I didn't write it down. Have felt pregnant for a while. At a rough guess about March 23rd?
thanks Sweetheart!

kangel · 25/04/2005 16:55

Congrats to all you other mums to be!!!

Am new to this thread but thought I'd join in. I had a rough start due to a scare but have been given the all clear and am due Dec 12th.

Has anyone else been losing weight? I feel so so sick that I cannot eat and when I do it has to be pasta! Have lost 1/2 stone.

sweetheart · 25/04/2005 16:59

Ninah - that puts you around the 29th Dec - I've added you to the list.

Kangel I'm very jelous of your weigh loss!!! Oh and congrats by the way - I've added you to the list too - It's getting really long now

Although having moaned about my weight gain the other day I went to the gym today and weighed in whilst I was there. I haven't put on as much as I first though - only 3Ibs - and I've lost 2% of my body fat - cheers to the bubba!!!!!!

ninah · 25/04/2005 17:04

Ooh a Christmasish baby! Great!
kangel - you lost weight? I only just did the test and I feel like I've got enormous knockers and a bump! sadly, waited til AFTER I'd shopped for summer skirts, well there's at least two I won't get a leg in til they're out of fashion .. at least they were cheapies from H&M

expressmummy · 25/04/2005 17:25

well ive been to the docs today and hes doesnt seem that worried as its not heavy bleeding he has booked me a midwife app for fri 13th!!!!!! as we go away to lanzarote on sunday for a week he said in the mean time test every other day to make sure does anybody know when would a pg test come negative if you had lost your baby.

golds · 25/04/2005 17:38

When I had a few problems the other week the nurse told me that it can take up to 2 weeks for your hormones to leave your body, don't know how true that is, but I would say testing every other day is a bit of a waste of time and money.

I really hope that you are OK and try to relax and have a lovely holiday, if the bleeding persits I would test again in about a week. Try and take it easy and relax

expressmummy · 25/04/2005 17:45

thanks golds

im going to relax for a week on hols and see how we go its very light bleeding so we just have to stay positive and see how we get on and hopefully ill be joining you ladys very soon x x x x

dramaqueen72 · 25/04/2005 17:48

yeah, infortunately, the hcg stays in your system, and thats why i was still having m/s when scan had shown missed m/c and baby had stopped growing. it can take about two wks to go altogether, altho it will fade within a few days of anything' going wrong' but i think its abit rich of your dr to say test that much, theres no point, unless he just wanted to reassure you. just have a fab stressfree and relaxing holiday, and do take it easy....if you want to stop by and stash me in your suitcase ........

dramaqueen72 · 25/04/2005 17:48

UNfortunately i mean!

dramaqueen72 · 25/04/2005 17:50

god, i didnt make any sense there did I? i meant the LINE on a pg test would be fading, as the hcg hormone wanes, but it would still be there.

Nemo1977 · 25/04/2005 19:47

hi all
well i got a scan date yayyyyyy but boooo to the gp cos its for the 2nd june....which is ageeeeeeeessss away. Am seeing midwife on 10th may so may ask her to get me an early one.

ninah · 26/04/2005 08:38

expressmummy agree with the others it takes around 2 weeks for hormones to fade away. I would've thought all the testing your doctor suggests would just make you incredibly tense and miserable and I would rather you had a nice relaxed time away ...
A friend of mine had light bleeding similar to this from about 5 weeks, she just rested and it was fine. I had a mc last year and the bleeding was much heavier, with cramps ... even though the test still said positive .
So I would go away have a lovely time with your dp/dh and try not to worry, rest, and wait for the midwife appointment. If your doctor thought there was a risk I'm sure s/he'd have booked an immediate scan.
talking of which -- congrat's nemo! scan date ... but June!!! just logging on this thread makes me feel really excited ...

dramaqueen72 · 26/04/2005 09:15

oh nemo! june!! eek! well if you can make it that far, it will be fab wont it? because you will have got thro every 'scary' date, and really have a picture to see on that screen. if you can 'sneak' in a sooner one tho it would help your mind rest! my is next week, and i am biting nails and feeling tense.... ridiculous isnt it? i dont get to see a midwife til 12wks..sigh..... i really cant wait til i get that far this time!
george how you doing hun?
yellowbear, welcome to our thread, if youre here yet!!!CONGRATS!
kangel, welcome to due in dec! I'm certainly not losing weight yet no!! but i often ahve got very very sick at 6/8wks (til about 14wks!!!!!!) and do then. so as youre so far ahead of me that sounds just fine and normal to me, but not very nice, feeling so sick, take it easy poor you.
hope everyone else is doing okay today?

NotTellingYet · 26/04/2005 10:30

kangel - you can have the half stone that I've gained if you like! That was all in the time before AF was even due though - thank goodness it's stabilised now and I don't seem to be gaining any more at the moment. Am definately hungrier though and it's a bit of a struggle not to eat more than I usually do.

MINNIE1 · 26/04/2005 10:30
