Hello!

I'm starting a Due in Nov thread! A bit early maybe, but hey! By my calcs(!) I'm due Nov 3rd, are there any other ladies out there around the same time? I'm sure loads for Nov haven't even missed their period yet!

Anyway, I'm 27
pg no 4, dd1 born ar 26 weeks, sadly didn't make it, but now happily have dd2 age 5 and ds age 3 next week. And 1 lovely dp of 7 years!

Sorry if you've read this for a 2nd time but was advised by sallie to post on here!! x x x

Welcome Pee and congrats.
Sorry to hear about your mc's. A Rodeo said,I had very heavy, brown discharge which lasted a week. The Early pg untiL at the hospital have booked me in for an early scan but was told this is quite normal (implantation stage). Good news is, it's all stopped! . It's very worrying especially when you've mc before (I had two). But try not to worry too much. Have a chat to your mw or dr.
Lol at CP3. I was the same with ds 2 but mine was asparagus lol. Never had it since.

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 17:22

Diddle - Oohh, I am also apparently due on the 11th November.

BEKsmum · 15/03/2005 17:25

Welcome peepee, hope all goes well for you this time, we'll keep everything crossed.

Feeling completely shattered as have had 5 three year olds in the house all day today, the little darlings were jumping on my bed and they've demolished ds's room, so need to go and sort that out whilst tea is cooking. Roll on dh getting home so that I can flop on the sofa & veg.

What did everyone else crave last time & are any of the first timers craving anything odd yet?

Well better go and do the wifely duties, speak to you all later.

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 17:33

I'm craving sleep! Does that count?

Diddle · 15/03/2005 18:09

What a coincidence i'm craving sleep too. My DH was up at 3.00 this morning and out by 4.00 to drive to a meeting, so i had a very strange broken nights sleep and i'm really suffering today.
Enthusia - Thats great, fancy being due the same day, that just makes it even more exciting to know that someone is going through this exactly the same time as me.
Where are you in the UK? I'm in Stourbridge in the Midlands.

HellKat · 15/03/2005 18:15

PEE- Forgot to say. We're due the same day!
Poor you BEKS! Must say don't envy you. My living room looks like a toy factory exploded. Ds has had everything out and still insists on climbing up furniture!
With ds 1, I craved spicy food and choc, ds2 oranges, asparagus and cheese and pickle sarnies. This one seems to be choc, more choc, some cheese now and then and stacks more choc!

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 18:51

Diddle - I am in Reigate in Surrey - not that close unfortunately! Think I have been to Stourbridge where is it near? And yes you're right it is exciting having the same due date, especially as it is both our first pregnancy! By the way do you work if so what do you do and are you finding it tough?! I am soooo knackered most of the time and am trying not to let on I am pg yet so most staff now think I am turning into the laziest, pre-menstrual b*!ch in school! (We are an all female team so the pre-menstrual thing is quite normal!)

BEKsmum · 15/03/2005 19:30

Thanks for the sympathy vote re 5 kids in one lounge, just cleared up the mess and dh said I look so knackered that he cleared up ds's bedroom!

I'm due the same day as Tex, perhaps we should run a virtual sweepstake nearer the time to see who pops first?! Might have the advantage here though as I was three weeks early last time

Hellkat what a great craving, chocolate & cheese, they're my favourite foods without being pregnant

I think we're all craving sleep aren't we? I want to know why I could sleep all day but then when I fall into bed at night I'm wide awake and then when I do finally go to sleep I have to wake up to pee . Dh is putting ds to bed and will want to play World of Warcraft all night so I'd better sign off have a nice evening all.

peepee · 15/03/2005 19:31

Thanks for your messages and support. I am glad that I have taken the time to chat. I am finding it hard especially because my hubbie is away all week for 10wks (7th week)and is only home at the week-ends. We have decided not to tell anyone this time just because the first time was hard for all. I have been feeling quite crappy today (bad heartburn) and have spent most of it sleeping. Thanks again. This support is really appreciated.

BEKsmum · 15/03/2005 19:32

peepee before I go have you tried cooled boiled water for the heartburn? Don't forget most of us are always around if you want to chat.

cads · 15/03/2005 20:09

Hi all.

This thread is really growing. Sure there will be lot more members joining because at the moment we are mainly due in the first half of Nov.

Good to see everyone is doing well, despite the sickness, lack of sleep, etc

Peepee - congrats, hope you have a nice pregnancy. I know what you mean about the heartburn, have been suffering all day too. Have invested in a large bottle of Gaviscon. I now remember downing loads of the stuff when i was pregnant with ds.

Diddle - Bloated here too. Already look like i'm 4 months instead of 6 weeks.

Enthusia - I live in Godstone, Surrey. Had both my scans and gave birth to ds at East Surrey hosiptal. If you decide to have your baby there I might bump into you.

Things I craved with ds - sardines
Things I crave now - SLEEP

Not only do i have ds waking me 2/3 times per night, I now have the neighbours 4mnth old ds waking me too (thin walls).

oh, and nevermind the having to pee constantly during the night. Actually, I have started using ds potty (which he is still to use, i will get him aother). Sick I know, but our toilet is downstairs, we were robbed during the night while sleeping upstairs a few years ago and ever since I have been scared of coming downstairs. The only problems is if dh hears me he gets the urge too, think he needs a potty too.

Have my first booking appointment on 30th and my 12 weeks scan on 3 May (can't wait). Saw my gp yesterday and she seems quite happy with things, which is reassuring. She reckons i am due 11th too, I think it's the 12th but knowing my luck it will most probably be the 26th (ds was 2 weeks late).

Right, going to go to sleep, try and get a few hours in before the nightwakings by ds and neighbour's ds start.

HellKat · 16/03/2005 04:51

Morning all!
Woke up way too early lol.
Thanks for that tip on heartburn BEKS. I only get it a little bit when I'm pg but poor DP gets it 24/7 and whilst Rennies seem to work, water would be so much easier.
Enthusia- Forgot to mention I'm in Kettering, Northants here.
My forgetfulness has started already! It got so bad when I was pg with the other two lol.

Enthusia · 16/03/2005 06:29

Hi cads - I teach at Godstone Village School!!!!! If you know people there don't let on please, I am the Eagles class teacher!!!! Feel free to drop in though!

Potty idea is a good one, isn't it hard getting down there though? I know my bum wouldn't fit on a potty!!!

I am in need of some advice this morning. My breasts are soooo sore and painful I don't know what to do anymore! I have shooting pains through them when I do not touch them and then they are really sore and tender when I do, sleeping is becoming a nightmare. I think they have also grown 2 cup sizes! Any ideas???!!!!

Diddle · 16/03/2005 08:14

Enthusia - sorry wouldn't know what to do if my breasts got any sorer, although they are very tender at the moment, i do remember with my 1st pg around this week they got very very tender though. Couldn't do anything about it. I am having difficulty sleeping, i alwasy sleep on my front and lying on them is murder, plus when my bump gets big i won't be able to anyway. have tried sleeping on my side and i just stay awake. I can see thsi si going to be very annoying.

I do work, I am a childminder, look after 14 children over the space of a week, most i have at once is 6. so i am exhausted all the time. I haven't told their parents yet. waiting until 12 weeks when i have to have the day off for my scan.
Stourbridge is near the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.

cp3 · 16/03/2005 08:24

Hiya all. What a jolly thread we are. I can feel the excitement in everyone . We also are not telling people which is dreadfully hard, but at least i have you lot.

I got docs tomorrow which looking forward to. Im sur he will get me an early scan cos of all my previous bleeding problems. Ijust want a definate due date as i have no idea. I can only go by when i think i concieved and not by af.

Didnt have my spinach last night but could eat a bowl now. The pratical parenting mag says to avoid spinach in pregnancy or just eat small amounts. Any ideas why?

Enthusia · 16/03/2005 08:29

Spinach - Is it to do with the amount of iron in it perhaps?

Not a problem for me at the moment, can't seem to stomach anything green!!!!

BEKsmum · 16/03/2005 09:36

Enthusia, Is your bra underwired, if so swap it to one that's not, I know there isn't much support in those that don't have wire but you're not supposed to wear underwired bras while pregnant for some reason, can't remember why other than they hurt like hell. Sure the others will be able to tell you why.

Sad to say but I've already swapped back to my old maternity bras as my boobs feel huge!

Glad to hear I'm not the only forgetful one - I keep leaving the oven on when I've cooked things I think I've done it four days in a row so far, and I'm sure I've turned it off lol.

ds is in the bath so better go and check on him, off to see the dr at 11.20 to get a booking in date. Can you beleive I stood outside my drs at 8:20am this morning and was 23rd in line!!! My dr wasn't in so seeing a differenet one otherwise I'll be ready to pop before I see anyone

rodeo1 · 16/03/2005 09:54

Morning all,

It's really killing me not telling anyone! Athough cracked a little yesterday and told my sis I thought my period was late!! Ha Ha Ha! We're having a sisters weekend in April so she'll know by then! Also going to Spain for a long weekend with girlfriends (without children!) at the start of May, they are going to kill me!

I'm from Derbyshire, so will be going to Derby City GH, we don't get a scan until wk 21 unless there's EDD confusion! How disappointing! x x

OP posts:
BEKsmum · 16/03/2005 10:00

Rodeo, do you get offered a nuchal scan at about 12 weeks or do you have request this specially?

Where abouts in Spain are you going? My parents live out there and we're going out for 10 days in June and were planning on going for 10 days after christmas but not so sure now!!!

twinkle1 · 16/03/2005 10:03

hi all sorry i have not posted for a few days but it was DD 4th birthday yesterday so we have been in a state on chaos!!! the reason you are not supposed to wear underwire bras is that it can inhibit the formation of milk glands/tissue!! you should swap to non wired. Crushed cabbage leaves or warm compresses can help with breast pain (I knew all the midwifery trainning i did would come in useful!!!)hope you are all feeling well (I seem to have got morning sickness already)

BEKsmum · 16/03/2005 10:05

Well done twinkle, I knew it was something like that but as the memory is so bad I couldn't quite remember! Snap with the morning sickness - yuck

twinkle1 · 16/03/2005 10:05

Oh i ment to say my booking app with the midwife is also 1 april. I wanted to ask if any of you live near me in hadfield, derbyshire????

twinkle1 · 16/03/2005 10:07

I know I am going to have to tell the kids im pg they think i have gone mad, because i keep running off to be sick

rodeo1 · 16/03/2005 10:09

I'm going to Madrid, one of our friends moved out their last year so we're going to stay with her. Going with some 3 friends from my toddler group, we've got 8 children between us and leaving them all with husbands and partners! I think we're more excited about seeing how all the dads will cope!!

No, we don't get the nuchal scan up here unless we're above a certain age, it's interesting to see the variation in care up and down the country. We'll have to compare as the weeks go by! x x

rodeo1 · 16/03/2005 10:12

I live in Derbyshire Twinkle! In South Derbys, is Hadfield in North Derbys? Which Hosp will you go to? Do you get offered the nuchal scan? x
