Anyway, I'm 27

Congrats to Cupp, Cads and Floss!!
Feeling bit sh**ty here actually. Had bad backache and achey tum for a few days then yesterday started losing stuff (trying not to be graphic sorry girls) which looked like the very beginning or very end of a period. Rang the mw, then got referred to the hosp. Basically, they said not to worry but have me booked in for an early scan anyway (I'll be 7 wks 2days). So fingers crossed. Good thing is I still feel pg!

BEKsmum · 11/03/2005 08:58

Hellkat, sorry to hear you're not feeling so good, try and get some rest today if that's at all possible with an 11mth old.

Congratulations, cuppatea & flossam.

I had to laugh when you said you had a midwife appointment cuppatea, as I phoned my dr's to try to get an appointment and they said the dr couldn't see me till after Easter at the earliest and that they couldn't even give me a date when an appointment would be possible as their computers were down.

I just laughed and said it was ok as I wasn't going anywhere for 36 weeks, to which she said ahh, ths must be your 2nd!, call back next week. So looking forward to great care from my dr as usual!!!

Have a good day all.

HellKat · 11/03/2005 09:02

Lol Beks. It's so true. I was really lucky, have my booking appt 4th Apr.
Feeling better now (cramping's dying down).
11mth old ds is running me ragged this am! Lol would'nt have it any other way though. Bless him, started crawling 2 wks ago and now is so fast (him whizzing across the floor and me running after him)

BEKsmum · 11/03/2005 09:12

Hellkat, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, aren't you glad he's on the move just when you're going to feel absolutely knackered!!

Have you moved everything up a level in the house now? And I bet your 12 year old will be moaning constantly that the little one is touching their stuff from now on won't they?

My ds has decided to give up his afternoon sleeps just when I could really do with him having them -I think they call that sods law don't they!

Ds has a stinking cold & cough so had me up most of last night so no pre-school for him to day just some calpol and a sleep this afternoon I think or should that be hope

HellKat · 11/03/2005 09:25

Awwww poor you. Hope little one's better soon.
Yep everything moved but he still manages to come across wires, microscopic bits of fluff etc.
Other ds is pretty good actually. When he's not at school, will willingly play with ds no.2 so he's a fab help!
Only prob is, ds is a lump to lift! (2ft 4" tall and 27lbs!).

Flossam · 11/03/2005 10:07

Ummm, sorry I think I might have confused you! I was due last year, I have my DS. Reading this thread would give DP a heart attack! No new baby for me just yet!

Cuppatea · 11/03/2005 11:41

Hellkat- hope you are still feeling better- when is the scan? The fact that you still feel pregnant is a good sign- lots of hormones! I'm sure you will be fine! My DD is also a lump - 28lbs and tall. She can reach things which are on the edge of the kitchen worktops now! Twice this week I've found slices of bread buttered side down on the living room carpet! She finds the fluff too (plus other manky things which she usually produces when we've got friends around.)

Beks - hope your little man is feeling better- it's knackering being up in the night a lot isn't it? DD has also dropped her naps the last few days. I'm still hoping she might decide to go back to having them because at the moment I'm counting the seconds till bedtime from 3.30pm. Not sure how I'll cope further down the line as the "energy boost" you're supposed to get in the second trimester just didn't happen for me first time round!! Ho hum!

Going to the NCT sale tomorrow bargain hunting- elbows and handbags at the ready! It's a bit of a scrum but I got a few good things last time. I'm hoping to find a few toys for dd as she is sick of her Xmas presents already. (Roll on the summer when we can get outside and do stuff!) Wish me luck!

Hi Cads and congrats! I think there's about 6 of us now- I'm sure there will be more though!

Hello to Tex and Rodeo aswell- how are you doing??

Diddle · 11/03/2005 13:48

Hi,
I am due in November, fingers crossed i get that far, i have recently had a miscarriage and i am feeling very nervous about this pregnancy, trying not to get too excited yet. I am 6 weeks pregnant now. Lost my first at 8 weeks, so a very tense time for us at the moment.
We've only told our parents this time and i've been dying to talk about it to someone, glad i found this site.

yingers74 · 11/03/2005 15:36

hello, have been watching this thread since it started! Like diddle I recently had a miscarriage, was previously on the sept thread, and am pleasantly surprised to be pregnant again although also very nervous. We have told nobody about this and have only just made an appointment with my GP about it. I think I am slightly in denial so as to protect myself. But enough of that I don't want to be too negative as it is a positive thing. Congrats to everyone.

HellKat · 11/03/2005 15:58

Still giggling here at Cupp's dd finding manky stuff when company are around
Got my scan on Monday 21st march, so not too long to go.
Congrats to Diddle and Yingers!!! Sorry to hear about your losses but a very big well done to be on this thread!!!

HellKat · 11/03/2005 15:59

Forgot to say Beks hows ds? feeling any better?

YOKEFLEET · 11/03/2005 16:38

YINGERS74 - I have my fingers crossed for you as I remember you from the Sept thread. Wishing you all the best this time x

tex111 · 11/03/2005 17:46

Hi all and welcome to all the new gals! I'm feeling pretty rough right now. Picked up a respiratory infection and sore throat. It's really worrying me because I had my first miscarriage while ill and I've always felt it was connected to having a fever and infection. Saw the doc today and ended up crying in his office! Just very concerned but I know there's nothing I can do except take care of myself, wait and hope for the best.

Diddles and Yingers I know just how you feel. Best of luck to you guys. Will you have early scans?

Hope everyone else is feeling well. Off to cook dinner and then put my feet up for the evening.

cads · 11/03/2005 19:41

Hi everyone. Welcome and best wishes to all the new ladies. Just spent my 30th doing housework and running around ds. Feeling pretty tired now, dh has gone to get some pizza, ds is sleeping (for now), going to eat the pizza and go to bed. Not how i imagined i would be spending my 30th birthday, i thought would be downing several glasses of wine instead. Have a good evening. Hope we all have a peaceful nights sleep.

cp3 · 11/03/2005 22:03

Oh Im Lost which thread are you all on? This or the other one in pregnancy

BEKsmum · 11/03/2005 22:32

Thanks for asking girls ds still has a rotten cough which is how comes I've just logged on as he didn't go to bed until 8;30pm and dh was out on the lash with his friend, so decided to veg on the sofa for the evening!

Welcome & congrats to diddle & yingers, I'm sure we'll all keep everything crossed for you this time.

Hope you're feeeling better soon tex & happy birthday cads, don't worry you can really celebrate next year and make sure that dh makes it up to you with a huge lie in tomorrow!

Better go girls as ds is hacking away in his room and calling for me in a pitiful voice - he's learnt how to be ill like a man already

Speak to you all over the weekend

FlowerLady · 12/03/2005 02:17

Enthusia · 12/03/2005 12:58

Hi, I found out I was pg with our first child on Monday.

Am now just nervous, feels very surreal and am not sure how much to think about it! I feel very delicate and as if I am about to come on my period at anytime - this makes me feel worried. Have only told a few people as a result.

I am 25 and have been married for nearly two years.

I am also due on November 11th same as Flowerlady but I thought I was only 5 weeks, have I got my timings wrong?! I am so new to all this!!!! Help!!

twinklemummy · 12/03/2005 13:13

hi waiting to see if i,m due to join the board ttc#2 3 days late now gonna test mon

cp3 · 12/03/2005 14:13

Twinkle Mummy test now. I really wasnt expecting a posotive result. In fact i still cant believe it.

Many Confrats and welcome enthusia. If you need any advice ask away as this will be my fourth and last child.

cads · 12/03/2005 15:48

Congrats and welcome Enthusia & Flowerlady

Enthusia - Don't worry I get confused with the dates too, and this is my second time round. You are 5 completed weeks and have started your 6th week today. I have completed 5 weeks today. In the end they come when they want too. DS decided to wait the full 42wks before making an appearance.

HellKat & BEKsmum - thanks for the birthday wishes. 30 doesn't feel any different to any other year. As my dad says, when it comes around to birthdays, "you only a day older than you were the day before".

Well, the tiredness has definitely kicked in. Dh has been looking after ds today and so i have slept most of the day. Last time the 1st trimester was in summer, I landed up missing the best sunny days at the weekend by sleeping, at least this time I get to enjoy summer!!!
