Hi Enthusia,
Feeling knackered more than i ever thought i could, not bening sick but feel quite nauseous if i don't have a snacl between meals. I am also feeling very bloated and full, my stomach is stickng out as far as it will go already, is anyone else experiencing this? You know when you stick you tummy out as far as you can, well mine stays there. Is this normal, i look pregnant and i'm only 6 wks.

have only found one food that makes me gag and thats my favourite soup.

Hows everyone else feeling?

heaz · 14/03/2005 14:10

hi everyone iam 17 weeks and feel as if i have been preganant for ever as my little girl has just turned 1.i am quite worried as my little girl was born 10 weeks early.

BEKsmum · 14/03/2005 16:16

Blimey I see what Rodeo meant about this thread, I can't believe how quickly it grown. I've not really had time to post over the weekend as ds has a cough that sounds like he's been smoking 40 a day, but then again as we were up all night on Friday (2 hrs sleep) I probably could have posted then!

Rodeo, how was your little one's birthday?
How are you doing Hellkat & Tex? Are you both feeling better?

Some of the comments from the girls who are having their first baby made me smile - I'd forgotten what a shock these early symptoms can be when you're not expecting them.

I hadn't really felt any symptoms up until today other than a bit nauseous, so was feeling a bit worried but today on queue I feel whacked, thankfully haven't started peeing too much yet. Although needed to go in the middle of the night and promptly woke ds up, by flushing the loo! Which prompted another bout of coughing for an hour or so!!!

Hope you're all feeling ok and having a good day, here's to the start of another week.

rodeo1 · 14/03/2005 18:23

Yes, he had a great birthday! He's obsessed with Lord of the Rings so got some character figures, and dp insisted on getting him a huge wooden bow, luckily he can't manage to load the bow with the arrows so he's just twanging the string at me menacingly!
I'm starting to feel a bit sicky now in the evenings like I did with the other 2, usually when dinner's about to be served! x x x

OP posts:
BEKsmum · 14/03/2005 20:50

The bow sounds very cool if not a bit dangerous - I can just imagine you with a suction arrow in the middle of your forehead next time you tell him "no"

FlowerLady · 14/03/2005 21:55

Me still feeling greatHad a very good pg last time, and seems that 2 one will be hopefully that good as well.No morning sickness or anything....dont feel pg at all.
Some mornings i wake up, and think that i maybe just saw it in my dreams...maybe i should get another pg-test?!

HellKat · 15/03/2005 06:02

Morning girls.
BEKS- Feeling fab here. Crampy, achey pains have gone and loss has died down! Can't help wondering if the pains are SPD kicking in again but either way don't care. Just delighted everything seems to have settled down.
FLOWER- I did'nt really feel PG until last week then all the early symptoms kicked in .
Have a little bump and boobs are aching! Still no ms but choc cravings hit again last two days Trying so hard to eat fruit instead but it tastes sooooo yummy!
When's your scan date TEX? Best of luck for it. Ours is Monday.
Here's to very happy, healthy pg's girls (and lots of pampering!)

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 06:35

Morning everyone!

I do not seem able to eat salad or veg!!! I gag at the thought of any and when I try to eat it I just can't. All I fancy are nice stodgy food like jacket potatos etc. Is this normal? It doesn't seem particularly healthy!

Diddle - yes I am really bloated too, but the worst thing is I can't seem to suck it in even if I wanted too!!!

Diddle · 15/03/2005 07:28

Oh good i'm glad i'm not the only bloated one, feel like i'm going to pop, and i know its only going to get worse.
Just off soup at the moment, still got my sweet tooth though, i could eat biscuits and chocolate all day. but i've also staretd eating a lot of cheese and biscuits, yummy.
looking forward to my booking in appointment this morning.
Hope you all have a good day

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 08:45

Diddle

Good luck for your appointment this morning, is this the first one with the doctor or is it with a midwife? I have been to the doctor - who did very little- and I have an appointment with the midwife on April 1st!

My first midwife appointment is apparently 30mins long, what do they do? This won't be for a scan will it as I will only be in my 9th week? Have not really been told anything yet!

BEKsmum · 15/03/2005 08:51

Morning all, hope all goes well at your bookig in Diddle.
Enthusia, stodgy food is normal, my friend ate nothing but, for the nine months as she constnatly felt sick and her little boy is gorgeous. Last time round I craved jacket potatoes and cherry tomatoes, no cravings yet though.
Glad your feeling fab hellkat, SPD sounds painful though.
Well better go as off to music with ds & I'm hopefully going to get to see the doctor tomorrow for my booking in appointment, better late than never I suppose!

HellKat · 15/03/2005 09:24

Diddle- Ohhhh I know what you mean about cheese!
Enthusia- your booking appt is the same day as my ds's 1st b'day! It is normal to be that long (they check your weight, urine, bp, history etc) after that one though, they're pretty quick.
Beks- it was painful and kicked in around month 6 but mw will be booking a physio appt so hopefully they can sort it out quickly.
My booking is'nt until 4th April.
Have a great day all

rodeo1 · 15/03/2005 10:38

Glad to here everyone's well, if a bit bloated! How do you all post messages so early?! I get up around 7.30 and think thats early! You must be really organised! I've not booked any appts yet although my surgery's moving house this week, that's my excuse - and I keep forgetting to take my folic acid! x x x

Hi ladies......... I am new to this. I am feeling really anxious this is my fourth pregnancy all the others have resulted in miscarraige. I went through it over the weekend. I had a tiny brown discharge. It has stopped now. Fingers crossed. Still got the sore boobs and heartburn. All positive signs. I had some nausea in week five bud it seems to have subsided? At this stage i would appreciate all kinds of signs of pregnancy. BRING IT ON! Oh, I forgot to mention I am due on November 5th. Here's hoping we all do well.

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 11:07

I am a teacher and so get to school at 6.50, need something to do to keep me going through the day at the mo! I keep this chat at bottom of the screen all day so that I can dip in and out from first thing!!!!! The kids don't know yet, nor do most of the staff so it is nice to talk about it on here in my breaks!!!!!!

Diddle · 15/03/2005 11:13

Just returned from my booking in, I saw the midwife have already seen the doctor who also did very little.
She gave me lots of leaflets, gave me the paperwork for a bllod test which i have to do after 12 weeks a the hospital, did a urine test which i will have to do everytime i see her. Filled in my booklet, talked about what to avoid, took my BP. Checked my tummy because i was a little shocked that i looked so fat already, but she couldn't feel any bumps so i'm not any further along than i thought.
Told me when would have scans, and that i wouldn't see her again now until week 24, that seems ages away. Her colleague is coming to finish off my booking in with a home visit in 2 weeks time. it all seems to be happening very quick. I'm not sure if this is because i miscarried my first which was recent or just luck. I'll be relieve when i reach 12 weeks.

rodeo1 · 15/03/2005 11:16

Congrats and welcome PeePee!

Best wishes for you this time round. I know there are a few ladies on here who have had m/cs. To have had 3 must have been awful.

I think Hellcat had some browny discharge as well this weekend, which has now stopped I think, and the m/w or hosp told her not to worry, but it's not surprising you're anxious. These first few weeks seem to go terribly slow, especially if you're worried.

I lost my first baby at 26 weeks so I get more anxious around weeks 20-30. Although I now have 2 babes who went to term! But that also makes me worry as now I feel I'm pushing my luck

I don't know if I'm making you feel better or 10 times worse!! Come on, positive thoughts!!! x x x

Week 24 diddle, that does seem ages away! When will that be? June/July?

Enthusia, Your day must seem so long! I bet your shattered by the end of it!! What age do you teach?

I should be doing some housework and looking after little man but he's just crawled into my bed upstairs and nodded off bless! So I'm watching This Morning and drinking tea!!

OP posts:
Diddle · 15/03/2005 11:40

It does seem ages away, its july for me, around two weeks into it, just after my birthday how nice.
I can't imagine how big i will be by then.

Enthusia · 15/03/2005 13:22

Diddle

Did the midwife seem happy with your progress? Is it normal for another midwife to do a home visit? 24 weeks does sound like a long time. When is your scan and due date?

Welcome PeePee and congrats I hope you will be able to relax and enjoy this pregnancy!

Rodeo - I teach 7 and 8 year olds - year 3's - I feel absolutely knackered in the morning let alone the afternoon. Am trying to take it easier but am still working at home til about 6pm. Mind you I am chatting on here in my breaks at school instead of working so that is partly my fault!!!

Diddle · 15/03/2005 16:16

Yes the midwife was happy with my progress although i don't think she did anything really to check my progress, she told me lots but didn't really ask me lots. The second midwife i will see is covering some of todays midwife's work i think. I think in some areas a midwife will come to your house, i wasn't expecting it though, i thought i would have to go to them.

My scan is the 29th April thats my 12 wk and they said I was due on the 11th November, but i work it out to be the 6th

cp3 · 15/03/2005 16:37

I have never eaten spinach in my life but the last two weeks ive eaten it non stop. How can i crave so early on. Maybe im further on than thought. Im off to doc on thurs to see if i can get an early scan!!!! Prob say no but worth a try
