Thought we'd go with twinklytoes suggestion since she's gone and got herself admitted to hospital in a desperate bid for attention .

Have left everyone on the stats for now, but will do another cull of deserters soon....

You think you are mean. I get up and ensure she doesnt even make it as far as my bed. I really do not like having the girls in my bed. DH is lucky some nights. I just get too hot. Our bed in the morning is a free for all when it comes to snuggles but we have always been really strict about no getting in at night time.
It gets to the point where we are late some mornings because no one wants to be first up. Thats just me and DH.

Bethoo - that sounds really good. Just enjoy things and get to know each other and don't think too much about long term plans.
AJM - fingers crossed that a few days of taking it easy will get BP back on track.
I saw MW today who has put that baby was 2/5 in relation to brim - I remember getting confused last time about which way I wanted the numbers to go and in the end DS was fully engaged for ages before anything happened anyway. Important bit is that LO is head down (sorry to those of you still trying to get them to turn) - sparkles
I'm sleeping really well at the moment but know it won't last. We're all waking up at about 7.30 which is such a luxury and I'm making the most of it.

Bethoo - sounds like you had fun! You must be tired today though!!!
Having a more relaxed day here as DH is working from home and did the school/nursery run, so I stayed in bed till 9, then watched drivel on the TV and now I'm venturing to the shops with DS1 for the first time in 3 weeks! I've just realised I've practically been hibernating and haven't actually gone anywhere that hasn't been compulsory for weeks.
No sign of nesting though - house is still a tip!

Hi everyone - hope you won't mind me crashing to say congratulations to everyone who's had their little ones and good luck to everyone else. I mc'd at 11 weeks, but my baby was due 6 October, so I was around and got to know a few of you at the beginning.

I was lucky enough to get pg again immediately after waiting 3 months and am nearly 14 weeks now and all looking good so far.

Love to all, and thanks again for all your kindness back in March.

daisy congrats on your pregnancy, thanks for coming back and letting us know. keep us informed.

ronshar you sound like me where night time is concerned! I am evil, wont let DD in our bed yet if DH up he does, well not anymore, but he did and then never remembered doing it he now lies on her bed if she wakes (which thankfully is a rare occurance) I stomp down the landing and make sure she gets back to bed, I cant be doing with her in my bed, she sleeps lenghtways between us! Not at all fun! Never wanted to encourage it as prob would not have got pregnant if had her in our bed!!!!

Just to confirm what a miserable cow I am I forgot to offer my congratulations to the new Mums.

ajm I saw MW today, BP up again, same as last time, baby also too small so into Day Case Unit tomorrow for monitoring and bloods, better than last time as they admitted me then, Last time problem was solved by spontaneous arrival of DS 36 hrs later so fingers crossed.

I am in awe of bethoo. This thread is better than any soap opera.

Decided to have a bath earlier while DH cooked his tea as didn't want smell to make me heave again. Made the fundamental error of letting water out before getting out. It was like the QE2 stuck in dry dock. Its a sign of the times when the only bath products are a choice between oilatum junior and Mr Matey.

Thanks for updating the list CSWS I haven't gone through it in ages and it's interesting to see due dates and what people are having.

I had consultants appointment today and they are happy that I am controlling my glucose intolerance by diet (I have been naughty and sneaking chocolate ) As I'm now 36wks they gave me my last growth scan and don't expect further unusual rapid growth from now on and said see you in labour The scan estimates the baby is currently 7lb 11oz and I have another 3.5 wks left so I'm in for another big baby apparently.

The head was so low down they struggled to get a head measurement. I think all those aches and pains I had earlier in the week was everything dropping down. I wonder if that means the baby will come early, who knows

Hi all,

My goodness I've not posted for ages, since leaving work I've just not been near a computer so apologies for going awol!

Congratulations (with a hint of jealousy) to those who have had their babies, I hope all is going well you lucky things..

Steadily plodding on here with just under 4 weeks to go, doesn't feel too long now but its getting increasingly irritating in these last few weeks when everyone is asking silly questions!

For instance 'oooh not had it yet then?' I think, !clearly not as I am still bloody HUGE!

Has anyone else had more ridiculous comments put to them?

hi everyone, i have been asleep most of the day recovering!
is anyone else in pain? my tummy really hurts, a period like pain and sometimes a sharp pain in the middle of my lower tummy! and my back is bad too i find it hard to walk! my friend said BH should not hurt, jsut be tightenings so maybe i should see mw though i am already booked to see her on monday, should i call or just wait it out? last time she said my back was achey becasue the ligaments were softening.
new dp is taking me to cinema tomorrow and to a petting farm on sunday, it is ok for me to go isnt it? what with diseases from sheep apparantly!

Report
SmudgeyDoodle · 25/09/2008 20:24

Evening everyone. Just popped on whilst cooking sausages so can't stay long. Bethoo I think you should be fine at the farm. i think the thing with sheep is more early on in pregnancy and as long as you wash your hands and make sure DS and NEW DP does too then you should be fine. I'm guessing you weren't planning on eating your picnic in the sheep pen or anything like that. As for silly comments, people keep looking at DS (19 months) and then my belly and saying " ooh, you're going to have your hands full" but I'm taking it as meant in a nice way!

I'm 38 weeks sunday. DH wants to go to his colleague's poker night tomorrow night (they usually run really late). He says he wants to go because its probably the last time he'll be able to for a while... would you let your DH go? I feel mean but I don't want him to go.

Report
ajm200 · 25/09/2008 20:35

Bethoo don't pet the sheep and you'll be fine, they carry the same nasty bugs as found in cat poo. I do know the name but my pregnant brain can't do long words anymore.

That is as long as baby stays put. Hopefully, what you feel is just baby dropping down and getting into position.

Rowan hope your raised BP is a sign of that you are going into labour and nothing worse. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and I'd love to know how you get on.

MTW Good news about your glucose levels. Its such a shame you can't ease your aches and pains with a nice bit of chocolate or tub of haagen daz. Not long now though.

I'm starting to wonder if it is possible to get RLT poisioning. I've had 3 tablets and 3 pots of tea today I really can't face anymore, rubbed clary sage massage oil all over my tum (not the best smell) and downed several EPO capsules. Good job DH is in really late tonight and is unlikely to be in a fit state to help shift this baby... All this effort and I've only had a few decent strength BHs. I suspect my child-free day with my feet up hasn't helped on that score though..

Hi everyone, havent been on this thread in days and you lot have nearly filled it!!
My scan on tuesday went well, she is roughly 5lbs now, the amniotic fluid is back up to 11cm and i have only put on 12 lbs in my whole pregnancy which i was pleased with. Consultant still whinged about it as im a fatty anyway but i thought 12lbs in nearly 36 weeks was good going!
Im full of cold at the moment and dd3's teething and sleepless nights isn't helping to make me feel better.
Surprised dp this morning by making a move on him, well i thought i'd make the most of a child free bed for a change!

I would let him go star, yes. You could still be waiting in 4 weeks time, and will have gone stir crazy if you lock yourselves in the house until then. I'm off out on a girls night again tomorrow at 39+2!

mtw - great news re glucose levels. I've been having a couple of chocs a night the last few nights too . Last appointment at diabetic clinic for me on Monday.

Right, better go start a new thread I suppose!

Hi all,

I've just posted this as a new thread but you guys may be able to help...

I have a tingling sensation going across the top of my bump, its like the start of pins and needles. It lasts from 30 seconds to a minute and its happened about 10 to 20 times today.

I called the hospital and they had me in for monitoring and the baby seems fine but they dont know what it is, the midwife suggested its the baby kicking me?

Has anyone had it or know what it is??

Report
ajm200 · 27/09/2008 07:07

No idea - baby laying on a nerve or something... sounds like it could be annoying though. Personally I hate pins and needles.. hope it stops soon.
