Thought we'd go with twinklytoes suggestion since she's gone and got herself admitted to hospital in a desperate bid for attention .

Have left everyone on the stats for now, but will do another cull of deserters soon....

i have the pushing thing all the time, it's just baby pushing on your recum from the inside. unless you are in pain i wouldn't worry too much

sambrads · 23/09/2008 20:22

hello ladies

oh my some of your bumps are so neat and tiny mine is massive although all i seem to get these days is oh you were so much bigger with ds !! god i must have been really really massive !!!

mumstheword i would defo get checked out even if you just phone the mw and see what she says there is nothing like peace of mind )

sambrads · 23/09/2008 20:38

does anyone ever hear a clicking noise when the baby moves not sure if it is me or the baby ????? dont remember it with ds its only when she does a big kick off the top of my belly

07mumstheword · 23/09/2008 20:58

The pushing sensation is every time I have a wee and has been going on for a few days. In other departments I've become constipated

The groin thing has been there periodicly (sp?) but more so today. Really painful and more often.

I'm sure it's just things moving in the downwards general direction. I'm seeing the consultant on Thursday and having another growth scan so I'll ask then.

Thanks for all your responeses especially Star who'd have had me and my bags out the door I do love your ways

07mumstheword · 23/09/2008 21:00

Sambrads I've never had any clicking sorry can't help. I get the feeling he/she has hiccups sometimes but never hear a clicking.

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/09/2008 21:17

Clicking from my pelvis when I move, but nothing from baby.

welcome pingviner!

sambrads · 24/09/2008 08:17

hello pingviner it will seem no time til your baby is here do you no what your having ???

star you really are an early bird in the mornings

ds birthday tomorrow so i am going to do nothing all day !!!!!

ajm200 · 24/09/2008 08:33

Welcome pingviner.. Your baby is due the day before mine.. Make the most of your maternity leave for the last few weeks.

Hope everyone had a good night.

I had the oddest dream about giving birth. It was positive and funny. I got a dig in the ribs from DH for laughing in my sleep!
I dreamt that we went to hospital to have baby but forgot to drop DS off on route, so DH sneaked him into the ward in his pocket. A two year old in his shirt pocket. For some reason DH was in shirt, tie, etc despite it being 2am.

Every time I pushed, DH would say push, push, DS would say mumma alright, mumma pull as he can't say push and the MW would try and work out where the little voice came from. Doesn't sound funny now, but seemed hilarious last night.

Pregnancy hormones do such odd things in the final weeks.

sambrads · 24/09/2008 09:30

hahaha ajm its so strange what we dream when were pregnant

feeling so so tired today my dh told me to take it easy as im heavily pregnant cant believe i am actually in that category

6 days til due date cant believe just how quick september has went !! i have an appointment with mw tomorrow i suppose it will be my last one with her then have an appointment with hospital on 2nd october to get my sweep done if i have not went by then so so hope i do though sweeps can be quite painful and it really pisses you off if they dont do what there ment to do

bethoo · 24/09/2008 09:55

this morning i was bending down and thought there wass a swarm of flies in the kitchen as could see black blobs everywhere, then realised it was my eyes. anyone else had this? weird. not a dream.

sambrads · 24/09/2008 09:59

bethoo i have been seeing stars quite alot but mw not concerned only if i actually pass out

so are you looking forward to your date tonight??

i know this is a digusting subject but how is the piles?? your the only one on her that has them too . i have beeen trying to get rid of mine with no luck going to push a baby and my insides into the world

ajm200 · 24/09/2008 10:01

I've had that a few times and usually fainted just afterwards due to low BP.. not helpful I know. How is your blood pressure? Maybe a bit of low B/P to blame.

If you get any swelling, headaches, pain under your ribs or more visual distrubances give the MW a ring as these can all be signs of PE... (don't mean to worry you). Last time, I went from healthy to showing loads of signs of PE in just 2 days.

ajm200 · 24/09/2008 10:06

Just had my MW appt this afternoon moved from the Drs - 10 mins walk away to the hospital in peak visiting hours - will take 40 mins to drive there, same again to park .

Seems my MW was working on the ward last night and they had a rush of HBs so all CMWs are busy.

Shame I can't get a peep at baby on a scanner while I'm there to make up for the inconvenience.

bethoo · 24/09/2008 10:11

sambrads tbh i dont even look there but i know they are still there, sometimes i put my anusol cream on. they are not itchy or sore and dont bleed but they are still protruding, i must really be consistant with the cream! i too am concerend about puching out half my rectum during labour byut mw assured me that would not happen. jsut keep at it with the cream applying.
getting nervous about my date as not been on a date in years so all new, we talk well on the phone but i know in person i do tend to go all nervous and shy. he has already asked me that if we get on would i go to Ireland with him next month for his birthday, tbh it is all going a bit quick for me. so used to being on my own that only like male company several times a week > i have not changed!
i was concerned this morning so thanks for the reassurance! it was just so many black things i was convinced there were flies in the house! i have low blood pressure so could be that though someone said it was a sign of preeclampsia and i have just been tested for that!

mishkamoo · 24/09/2008 10:20

Hello all
I have been lurking for a while, but now feel compelled to post a message in response to Sambrads piles!!! Not the best introduction to a group I know!!
I have had piles on and off throughout the pregnancy but have coped with the usual anusol/germoloids etc, but in the last week they have exploded again. I'm 38+6 (1st baby, don't know the sex), and had to resort to going to the doctors on Monday as they were so painful I couldn't stop crying and was getting no respite at all. Doc has prescribed me some cream and suppositories and it is much better although still sore. BUT I am now SOOOOOO worried about labour and ending up with a huge bunch of grapes dangling outside my bum, it's painful enough after a poo, how am I going to cope after pooing out a baby?? I'm not sure I can cope with the discomfort I was in earlier in the week, and all the usual post labour pains, AND a newborn baby....
Sorry if WAY too much info for a 1st post!!

ajm200 · 24/09/2008 10:27

Hi Mishkamoo. Welcome to the group. Definately a different sort of intro

I had bleeding piles last time and the same concerns as all of you. To be honest, they weren't too bad after the birth even though I seemed to have a couple more.. That whole area was bruised and tender so the piles were easy to ignore.

Somewhere a few pages back, I posted a recipe for healing pads that you can freeze. They should help soothe your piles now and will definately help with cooling/soothing after the birth.

ajm-have found the post-thankyou. Only problem now is where do I get comfrey and witch hazel from??!!! I have looked in Holland and Barrett and chemists for witch hazel b4 but not found any-am I looking in the wrong place?
myjob-thankyou for the reassurance. I don't get much bleeding, just pretty much constant discomfort. I am hanging on to the hope that it will get better once the pressure of this little darling in my abd is gone!
