Hello

I have just found out that I am pregnant and calculate that the baby is due on 1 May. It's a bit early for me to be getting excited but I can't help it!

Is anyone else due in May?

Hi. I'm not sure if I can join yet as I haven't yet tested and only had my Mirena out a few weeks ago BUT I have extremely sore veiny (uck) boobs, a bloated feeling and am really thirsty....so think I may be pregnant. We have been trying 'quite a lot' over the last few weeks - by which I mean practically every day and are really hoping to be pregnant soon (it's happened straight away both times before with DD's 1 and 2).......
So just want to say big congratulations to all of you already pg and hope to join in soon
Not sure when to test though as Mirena taken out on 1st August and last period was on 21 July? Had bleeding on and off for 10 days after Mirena removed but have heard that people have got pg immediately after Mirena. Anyway no idea what I'm doing, just a bit excited (potentially). Maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit?
(Sorry for waffling on

charlie1000 · 29/08/2008 22:22

Sounds as tho you have good reason to be excited frazzle keep everything crossed for you. If I was you I'd be tempted to test asap, as the veiny boobs thing defo sounds promising. I did an early test 3days before expected period and came up positive straight away, so i do think they work. Here's hoping!

Not sure about the mirena, don't really know much about it but my guess is everyone's body adjusts at a different rate so the fact you've been trying regularly can only be a good thing . I'd certainly say it's very possible.

Keep us posted...

Hi! Have got 2 v v faint pink lines. One last night with an internet cheapie and the other this morning with a FR, so I'm hoping that means I'm joining you!
Have been temping (Hello BSOL - fellow temping buddy!) and Fertility Friend reckons by EDD would be 13/05/09 so I wouldn't even be 4 weeks until Wednesday.
This will (hopefully!) be my first dc after having a mmc noticed at 12 week scan in April and then ?2nd mmc/need to redo ERPC in June. As you can imagine I'm a little bit wary of shouting from the roof tops at the moment due to past experience and how early this is but will hopefully confirm with a digital test soon.

Jaamy · 30/08/2008 10:30

CONGRATULATIONS seshasapinkline. Looking pretty good!

Think there are a lot of us on here who have been trying for a while with various trial and tribulations along the way. Boy are these beans special!

Have sent DH out for another test. The last one I did in Paris on Wed am ws very feint. Won't be happy until I have a strong line that appears in 30 secs flat!

CHarlie - I have 2 DDs (similar ages to your DSs) and I am convinced I will have another DD. Apparently my sister (who doesn't know I'm pg) saw a clairvoyant who told her there was a new little girl on the way in the family. Didn't know about this til after my BFP. WOuldn't know what to do with a boy, anyway!

MrsHappy - love new name. Very appropriate. I remember you from some of the TTC threads and so happy to see you here. [envy at DH letting you lie in. My DH is rubbish at getting my hints.

Frazzled - afraid I too am ignorant on matters concerning coils. Hope you get some good news soon.

My boobs (usually 34FF) have gone enormous already. I have to try and sqeeze into a dress I bought 6 weeks ago for a wedding at the weekend. Lord knows how I'm gonna get them strapped in!

missEdith · 30/08/2008 11:04

hello all am a bit in disguise from my usual MN name

I had a BFP a few days ago, due date should be 6 of May
I still feel very uncertain as I have a history of miscarriage, last one in early December.

I have a dd 3yrs and would dearly love another child, am nearly 40 so time running out

I will probably post sparingly but will keep an eye on the thread and wish us all healthy pregnancies

now starts the obsessive knickers checking and symptom watching, will spare you all the details
but it is hard not be excited

Momino · 30/08/2008 16:08

Hi all and congrats to everyone just joining. Hope you're all well.

we went to a petting farm yesterday for my dd2's first bday and forgot that pregnant woment shouldn't get close to lambs/goats - I only saw the warning after I'd fed a few hairy goats. Does anyone know the what is this risk and how likely I am to have risked the baby's health?

Also, I'm adding my EDD to the list again as I seem to be still a '?'.

Scaryhairy due on 1 May (DD age 2.2)
JustgotBFP due on 1 May
Sahbear due on 1 May (DS age 14 mo)

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 17:26

Thanks for the welcomes
I'm hoping to do a CB digital in the morning so hope it tells me the right thing!!

Momino - farm sounds good! I don't think there will have been a huge risk. They have to put these signs up to cover themselves but I know I went to a similar farm with a friend and her dc when she was pg and no problems!

llareggub · 30/08/2008 19:06

Just got a BFP from the mumsnet free trial digital test, which tells me I'm 5 weeks. Amazing stuff. Based on my last period, I guess that makes me due on 1 May.

Keep your fingers crossed for me as I've already had 2 miscarriages this year, so I'm hoping for 3rd time lucky!

I've added me:

Sahbear due on 1 May (DS age 14 mo)

gibsongirl · 30/08/2008 20:51

Hi, I would love to join.... never done this sort of thing before until now!Congratulations to everybody! I had BFP last Sunday, so my due date is 6th May! I knew I was pg as i had severe heartburn all day Saturday, feeling tired already and then on Sunday i felt sick all afternoon.
I have been feeling sick on and off each hour all week.
I have ds1, nearly 5 and ds2 2 in 2 weeks, so looking forward to having our 3rd - just as exciting every time, I just love it!
I cannot believe, however, by 5-6pm quite how bloated I am, its embarrassing and if I try to hold my stomach in, its like I have no muscle tone at all!!! I have had 2 c-sections though, may have something to do with it!
Anyway, it will be good to talk about it to other people as I can't obviously mention it yet to anyone apart from family and dh.

Look forward to hearing from you guys x

MrsHappy · 30/08/2008 21:03

I've updated the list a bit. Welcome to the newbies and lots of luck to seshasapinkline.

I think I had my first morning sickness this morning and woke up feeling vile. No actual puking but only ginger beer made it go away! I am also having little twinges on my ectopic side and am spending a lot of time telling myself it is just things stretching. Roll on Friday and my scan.

Jaamy I tried for a lie-in this morning but my DD threw a tantrum and given the choice between lying in bed listening to her scream or get up and sort it out I ended up (after 15 mins of tantrum) going for the latter... Ho hum.

Momino I would bet that petting zoo animals are completely hygeinic and have no germs. Don't worry too much.

Scary yep - I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and getting big! Just looked on September and Digitalgirl is due soon. I can't believe how many of us are here after so much trying. My BFP was a huge shock as I'd given up after 8 months of nothing, had a break and just decided to start again. They say it happens when you least expect it!!! Anyway, huge congratulations again and best wishes to all May ladies.

Momino · 30/08/2008 21:13

llareggub, fingers crossed - 3rd time will be lucky!

Seshasapinkline - good luck with your test tomorrow.

Missedith - hang in there. these first few weeks arenot fun. i'm similar age so abit worried about mc as well as other risks. feel like pregnancy and parenthood are all about worry!

Hope everyone is relaxed tonight. xx

MrsHappy · 30/08/2008 21:18

MissEdith I missed you before so have added you onto the list now, I hope you don't mind. I know what it is like to be uncertain about things (as do a number of women on this thread), so let us know how you get on when you can and feel free to take yourself off the list of you would prefer.

congratulations

detsy · 30/08/2008 21:40

Hallo girls and big congrats to you all!!

I got a positive test this morning and I work the EDD out as 8 May (ish). Hard not to be nervous - especially as I have a bad cough/cold and took cold and flu tablets before I knew (did do one of those early tests but it was negative so I carried on and 3 days later I now get a positive...just hoping all is well and not done any harm..

This will be my 2nd, got a DD, 9 months....!! lol So I think so far I win on the being fast with the second pregnancy, lol. Hubby in a pickle but then men always worry about silly stuff like money, don't they!!!

I was in a group for my first baby and it was fab right up to us all slowly going off to have our babies. I ended up being 13 days over and the last one left which was quite lonely!!! Anyway I'm rambling - good luck to everyone and lets get the next few weeks over with!! HUGE CONGRATS TO ALL!!!! xx

detsy · 30/08/2008 21:45

PS - is there a glossary of terms somewhere I'm struggling with all the acronyms and abbreviations!! Assume you guys are in the UK as well?
Sorry for being dimwit x

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 21:55

Hi detsy
At the top of the page you can click on the acronym list and it gives you most of them but otherwise, just ask!

V impressed with 9 month age gap! I'm trying for my first and have had an early bfp so hoping it sticks as am only 10dpo (days post ovulation!)

detsy · 30/08/2008 22:02

Hi Pink Line and congratulations! Thanks for the tip but erm, can't find where you mean..... Top of this page for example? Sorry!!
I'm really early too - period was due on Thursday so guess thats 16 days dpo - did you do the first response test then?

detsy · 30/08/2008 22:05

Dur found it now - thanks

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:07

Right at the top of this page under "useful stuff"
I did an internet cheapie on Friday evening which gave a v faint pink line and then a FR this morning. Am really excited but also really worried I've just tested too early and will be a chenical pregnancy or something will go wrong. (Sorry, don't really mean to be pessimistic!)

detsy · 30/08/2008 22:13

Don't worry - I think its a perfectly normal reaction. Every tweak and twinge had me running to the loo with my dd (I had a mc, about 7 years ago and hadn't tried again - new partner etc etc) so I also thought the worst. i think even without that horrible experience that all women in this situation are the same - hence the constant testing and gusset checking! It's out of our hands now and we just have to sit tight and be patient whilst we while away the next few weeks!

Displacement - can't believe we are almost exactly on target together - when was your daughter born? (Mine was 06.11)

detsy · 30/08/2008 22:16

I've also heard that a BFP (see been reading the acronym list!! ) is a def + and a negative could be either testing too early or a negative. This happened to me - got anegative on Monday and a + now. So I think you are most likely preggers girl!

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:17

It never ceases to amaze me how many women are affected by mc. I found out I had a mmc at my 12 week scan in April and then to cut a long story short, in June, they couldn't decide whether I'd had a 2nd mmc or whether they just hadn't removed all the "retained product" from the first in the ERPC they did. (Sorry if that's TMI and I know the terminology they use is awful!).

Fingers crossed for us all!

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:18

Thanks.. I think so too but just worried I guess!

llareggub · 30/08/2008 22:44

I'm still in shock after getting my BFP, and so very, very tired!

Obviously craving ice-cream like mad,
