AnnVan · 31/07/2008 07:01

feelling generally shi**y. got horrible stretch marks, a saggy arse, saggy tits, fat fingers, fat ankles, fat legs, fat everything. really regretting getting pregnant.

bealcain · 31/07/2008 07:59

AnnVan · 31/07/2008 08:02

TBH hopefully I'll be getting some sleep - literally did not sleep at all last night, so feeling really bleeurgh at the moment. With you on the yukky stretch marks saggy tits although thankfully haven't got any swelling. THink the muggy heat might just about kill me though. And the heartburn (I've run out of Gaviscon AND Rennies, sob)

Ooh we're a right pair of Moaning Myrtles this morning

bealcain · 31/07/2008 08:05

anyone that comes on to join us better bring the happy pills!

i'm just totally fed up, chasing atound after 2very lively boys doesn't help, ut as DH says i cant get sympathy for it as it was my decision to have them all so close together.....nice huh!

PetitFilou1 · 31/07/2008 08:08

I will join you in moaners corner. Am so tired....no stretch marks though so can't whinge about that

sarahnh · 31/07/2008 08:10

Morning everyone, pass us a cuppa...

good luck to DD and ChaCha cannot wait to hear day news on the new babies...

quiet day for me today.. am so full of cold and cough its not true.. after wishing this baby out for the last week i am now praying that she stays where she is til i recover.. don't think i can cough and push at the same time ...

great thread TS, seems i missed so muh last night.. re ff i think i am going to buy the ready to milk for night times and stress times and powder for when i am relaxed... (reckon i will be breaking the bank constantly buying ready to go milk)

AnnVan · 31/07/2008 08:16

bealcain - at least my dp is quite nice baout how I'm feeling at the mo. I haven't been able to tidy up much cos of feeling crap, but he acknowledges that this happens when pg. Was bad when I had hyperemesis though, cos he kept telling me to go for walks so I'd get used to going out and stop being sick??? Really don't know where he got that idea from. I tried it though and just ended up puking my way round the park several times.

AnnVan · 31/07/2008 08:17

PF - at lack of stretch marks. I feel like I'm permanently disfigured.
Am debating whether to try or a couple of hours sleep now. (again)

oopsacoconut · 31/07/2008 08:18

Morning ALL

Anyone want some hot raisin bread (can be toasted)

Feel free to moan laides I had my day yeserday. Have been up for hours, sitting sort of dozing in my lounger in the garden (fully clothed!) Waiting for DH to wake up so I could be a domestic goddess and make him some breakfast before he heads back to work - I want him to stay home on maternity leave tooo, I am going to miss him and be bored I must be hormonal!!! I have never wanted him home all the time before. Never mind I'm sure by the time he gets home at lunch I will want him to go back and stop disturbing my day.

Have some double chocolate chocolate chunk in the oven (for DH to take to work!!) so back in a bit with them - mind you don't burn yourselves on the hot chocolate.

AnnVan · 31/07/2008 08:21

Morning Oops - you put me to shame, honestly. I think I'm going to try for some sleep. If I reappear in net hour it means that my fourth attempt at getting sleep has failed. (It will not fail, I will sleep)- see demonstrating positive thinking. See you all later

oopsacoconut · 31/07/2008 08:21

tbhose double chocolate chocolate chnck - are actually muffins!!!!!!! The rest of the bad spelling and typing can just stay there!!!

gigglegirl · 31/07/2008 08:23

Morning all,
I'll take whatevers going on the food and drink front!

didn't sleep much at all last night!

Was up at 5:30.

have written 11 worksheets and prepared for playschem. Kids have had breakfast and are nearly dressed and I just need to get ready for hospital!

I am determined to get through my very long list of things to do!

TwilightSurfer · 31/07/2008 08:28

Happy Pills for ALL

Bealcain glad your still around but sorry your still carrying a heavy load.

Well I've just returned (it's 3am) from a trip to the maternity ward. Woke around midnight with lots of pressure. Since I still felt bad and had to deal with all the crap from yesterday I decided just to bite the bullet, wake DH and go get checked. Seems I WAS RIGHT and NOTHING IS WRONG with me or the baby.....I am just constipated. DH and I both had a good laugh about that and we can't wait to share the good news with MIL. Doubt constipation every led to an emergency CSection?!? LOL

Any way, stopped at an all night greasy spoon on the way home for some real gut clearing french fries. YUM!! Now it's back to bed with a grand smile on my face.

Oh and I snagged a box of KRISPY KREMEs for the group....DIZZY gets the first one!! After the CS, of course.

Hope all goes well and I'll be back on later to add more babies to our stats.

OP posts:
PetitFilou1 · 31/07/2008 08:50

TS French fries for constipation? Never heard that theory before! Hope it works for you. My sympathies, don't know if you have lactulose in the US but that's what I took after having ds and it worked like a dream.

VintageGardenia · 31/07/2008 09:21

Oh dear, laughing at the constipation / CS / French fries.

Going to buy a cot today, why have I left it so late?? Any advice on choosing? Our Mothercare staff are rubbish, they never know anything.

PetitFilou1 · 31/07/2008 09:30

VG I got the smallest, cheapest cot that Mamas and Papas do (you can order online) - has been fine. Only regret is that it doesn't have a drop side - much easier for getting lo in and out during the night if they are in the room with you and you are bfing.

No19 · 31/07/2008 09:37

Yes I remember a drop side being a godsend and also I seem to remember being able to change the level of the base, so it sat quite high when the baby was teeny, thereby saving your back. I was wondering should I be taking a long term view and getting a cot bed? Or simpler just to get for baby needs now?

VintageGardenia · 31/07/2008 09:38

Hmm there is actually a Mamas and Papas within spitting distance I think. I am sick to the back teeth of M'care.

VintageGardenia · 31/07/2008 09:49

Had a look at M&P online, some nice simple ones. Will force encourage DS out into the rain with me & have a look in the flesh.

PetitFilou1 · 31/07/2008 09:49

Hello no19 are you new?!

I agree on the cot with different levels being much better for your back (sorry VG should have mentioned that but the one we have does have an adjustable base even though is the cheapest they do - so that one is still fine)

I wouldn't bother with a cotbed personally. I think they are a rip off - a toddler can go straight into a single bed with a bedguard after the cot...

MrsMagooo · 31/07/2008 09:50

Morning all,

Major grump alert - I am utterly fed up now so any volunteers to go in & get E out for me by force will be gratefully taken up!

Anyone fancy joining me in a good old fashioned scream??!!

Off to locate my chocolate stash.........

PetitFilou1 · 31/07/2008 09:53

Right, can someone tell me what having a c-section entails please just in case. I feel I ought to know and I've never bothered finding out before!

Dh is really not as comfortable with this homebirth idea as I'd hoped and is getting stressed about various things and thinks I am being blase (I call it relaxed but there you go) I won't get a script for pethidine for example as I don't want it as it crosses the placenta and dopes the baby up too. He can't understand this.

Also he's worried about who will look after the dcs while he's with me. I have at least three neighbours I can ask, my sister and my aunt at a push (tho she isn't keen). I think that's fine! Am I being too relaxed???
