Due April 2009? Am I really the first?

Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

welcome lix,

I had a row of tests lined up with the darker and darker lines! DH said 'Um, can we throw away your pee sticks now?'

jumbs, I also have the bloating. Work colleagues (small office) starting to look suspicious because I'm very thin but have zero stomach muscles since having DS so even a ham sandwich sticks out like a football.

mathsmummy, well done for doing yoga. We moved house two days ago so haven't had time to exercise, a bit paranoid as I jogged regularly in the two pgs that ended in m/c, but just did cross trainer, step aerobics (not very energetically) and stretching with DS, so no running this time!

hope everyone is not feeling too sicky..

mathsmummy27 · 03/08/2008 20:26

Just been to the cinema...and cried ridiculuously all the way through.
I love being PG so much

LittleMyDancingForJoy · 04/08/2008 09:29

I just got back from holiday and have got lots of friends! Yay!

Congratulations to all - I spent the whole holiday feeling sick as a dog, so think those hormones are kicking in.

Someone mentioned Easter Sunday - our DS (2 now) was born on Easter Sunday 2006, so we already have one Easter egg. Hope I don't go so overdue this time....

Will write more when I have done all the holiday washing....

Hi ladies, i dont exactly belong on this thread but i dont know what to do with myself and i enjoy reading your comments

my story so far is that we have been ttc #3 since last oct and on dec, only something like 10 days past ov (i was test happy) i tested positive with clear blue digital then a week later loads of negatives i was totally gutted and nothing since then.

Now my last af was 22nd june and usually my cycle is 30-35 days i'm on day 44 now and i have felt queasy for just over a week lots of cramp nothing major just like af and no symptoms really. i made a promise to myself i would never take a hpt again because of how much i torture myself over them and if i'm honest i'm thinking if i write this then i'll jinx myself and af will turn up i just cant believe that its possible for me to be pg even though i am totally desperate to be. if i am pg i will be 6weeks and 1 day but i couldnt feel any less pg does anyone feel the same?

babyshoes · 04/08/2008 17:23

I'm back! After being very upset all day saturday cos of dodgy Boots own test showing a negative I sent DH out to buy another FR test and did that and the last dodgy Boots own one yesterday am and FR was BFP and not faint at all and the dodgy Boots own showed a very pale BFP - so definite progress. Also, keep falling asleep and have no energy which is very unlike me so have made appt at docs on wed. I have become slightly obsessed about this one which is very different to the first time around (DS nearly 29 mths). Anyway, i'll let you all know what the doctor says, different one to the one i saw on Friday who was an evil witch who's obviously never been pregnant and told me to wait a bit longer - longer than a week!!!!!????

babyshoes · 04/08/2008 17:33

hi broodymom, i've just read your message. I kind of know how you feel, hang on in there and don't get as obsessive as me (i'm in no position to lecture) but it drives you insane. I spent 4 hours saturday morning (DS watched jungle book twice as DH out) whilst I googled a million things asking about AF being week late with BFP and BFN. No definite answers as everyone is individual. Apparently each 48 hours after implantation the hormone increases, mine has taken forever this time as i'm now 11 days late and some tests still show very faint. I would get a doctors appointment if I were you (dont go to mine though, she's s*t)! I also got cramps around the time AF was due, this was over about 4 days and I'm still getting some funny little flutters but if it's painful - more than little cramps - again go and get checked out, it can't hurt to be sure. Also, s*t doc said that their test weren't as good as some of the ones you buy in the chemist (reassuring)! so get a First Response, i've found this one the best. Hope that help a bit.

babyshoes · 04/08/2008 17:35

oh yes, stick me on the list, don't know how to - due 3rd April according to online thing DS 28 months

broodymom · 04/08/2008 18:51

Hi thanks babyshoes i might try and get a doc appointment 2mrw... i cant help thinking its a cruel trick and i'm going to have this almighty long cycle only one way to find out though just need to work up the courage x

lixanismapolium · 04/08/2008 19:20

Good luck broodymom. I'm seeing the Dr on Friday morning. That's the day I would normally get my AF. was a bit scared of going before then i case they havea go at me for testing so early!!

I have had about 6 positives - on 2 different kinds of test, so think that's pretty conclusive. Fingers crossed the Dr will agree!

broodymom · 04/08/2008 19:44

Thanks lixanismapolium, good luck to you also but by the sound of it you dont need it x

ScrumptiousBumptious · 04/08/2008 20:02

Evening everyone.

Congratulations lix!! Glad your officially on the list.

Hi littlemy. Did you get all the holiday washing done? That's the worst bit about getting home again! Especially with the amount of stuff we take.

broodymom - day 44 - wow! I am very impressed at your testing self restraint (although i can see why you're holding off.)I am still feeling very like period will come any second, although also feeling rather sick now (nooooo - it's to early to feel sick!)

babyshoes - I've been using FR, boots own and clear blue (I know, I know, a woman obsessed!) - anyway - FR showed a line very very early. about 4/5 days later clear blue worked, then about 6/7 days later boots own showed a faint line (still faint whicst FR been very strong much earlier.) Hope this helps. I think as long as the line has colour in it it's good too.

Right - I'm starving. Off to find some food.

Hello! Holiday washing load number three about to be hung out, load number four ready to go. Sigh.....

Really pleased to have some friends on here at last, it was a bit lonely for a while. Exciting, all the due dates stacking up!

I was a bit concerned about whether AF would turn up after all given that I got a BFP so early - but the level of sickness and hunger since then, plus the lack of AF, means I'm pretty convinced. Fingers crossed.

Good luck babyshoes and broodymum!

Just wanted to wish you all very happy healthy pregnancies. My ds is an April 05 baby and my dd is an April 07 (but will always belong to the May07 ladies )

April is a great time of year to have little ones as it allows you to spend the summer getting a tan
x

foxymagoo · 04/08/2008 20:37

Welcome broodymom (fingers crossed for you)and welcome back babyshoes!

Got Doctors appointment for 14th, bit later than I'd planned but wanted lovely Doctor not Doctor from hell who everyone avoids...

Felt very bloated at work today, my waist is already disappearing and I'm having trouble keeping my back straight!

I've found myself cherishing ds even more as he started off as a positive line and is now a strapping 26 month old. It reminds me how far we've come from the early tentative weeks last time.

Off for cuppa and Frys Cream

rachelgreen · 04/08/2008 20:54

hello ladies, can't quite believe i'm here as I've been following this thread since littlemy started it, hoping to be adding my name! BFP on sat (another crap boots bfn wed, followed by unbelievably faint bfp on sat, - but much stronger FR line later that afternoon ).

EDD 7th April - but could be up to 11th as cycle still all over the place since had DS (17mo).

Hoping you're all well so far, am feeling fine, v.happy and v.tired - and lulling myself into believing that I'm not going to feel sick at all! I'm going to read back over the whole thread again to get to know who's on here.

mathsmummy27 · 04/08/2008 21:21

Hello and welcome everyone
So excited for us all. Am I imagining the bulge in my midriff..my flies kept coming undone today (not good when you're working with children). Here's hoping a lovely eight months with no sickness

Just wanted to congratulate you all. May or may not be joining you soon, not been actively ttc as I'm only 6 months after having gastric bypass surgery and they recommend waiting a year (but will still be chuffed to bits if it happens now), but we had a bit of whatsit a couple of days before I ovulated so will be testing if AF hasn't arrived this weekend. Am only 5 days post-ovulation so probably not much point testing yet. Been getting niggly cramping this evening, not sure if thats a sign of anything.

Gemzooks · 05/08/2008 07:05

congrats JenJam and good luck forcessweetheart. It's so maddening not knowing..

well I'm now 6 weeks and 3 days and feeling knackered and just slightly sick, like with a hangover. Going to have a scan in a week from now to see if there's a heartbeat. Already thinking of ways not to give birth in Holland (they are VERY into natural childbirth, 30% home births, assume you will have a home birth and believe you should suffer the pain because it's good for you)!

Hmm, not quite me. Might have it in Belgium like I did with DS, but there it is a bit too medicalised. Must say the mobile epidural was great, though.

I guess it's too early days to be worrying about this stuff

Cosmogirl · 05/08/2008 08:21

Hi all, congrats to the new joiners. How is everyone feeling? I think I am six weeks today. Feeling quite tired and sense of smell has gone through the roof! Sometimes think I feel a bit nauseous but not sure if some of this is in my head because I am expecting to feel that way.....Told my parents the news at weekend at they were very pleased - mum cried! She said she got quite bad MS for 3 or 4 months. Does it tend to follow that if your mum had it, you will?

ScrumptiousBumptious · 05/08/2008 08:33

Hi everyone,
Welcome and congratulations rachel, bet it took you a while to catch up on the thread already.

Congratulations to you too mumacita. How are you feeling today?

Jenjam - good list organisation!

Gemzooks - I feel like a have a bad hangover too - good description! Only without the fun bit the night before.

cosmogirl - not sure if you'll get ms just because your mum did. Think everyone is different, and every pregnancy you have might be different too? Glad it went well telling your parents.

soundbites · 05/08/2008 08:41

Hello everyone, tentatively joining you. Did a test this morning (period was due on Saturday and didn't turn up, and also had upset tummy since Weds) and it was a bit odd. It was the clear blue one and the diamond that is supposed to get a line showing that the test worked only got a bit of a line on one side, and the lower half of the cross (beneath the horizontal line) hadn't appeared either ? almost as though half the test worked! DH is buying another one today to have another go. But, if it is all true I'm due about 11 April. Have a DD who is 18 months and this was our third month of ttc.

Congrats everyone!
