Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

Aww, thank you...

My boobs do feel funny but I may just be imagining it..

Its funny how you start all over again - I even looked out the Miriam Stoppard pregnancy book last week!

Jumbs · 24/07/2008 12:16

Hello LMDFJ and (fingers crossed) foxymagoo,

Got BFP yesterday, following your first response ad LMDFJ! So excited and want to shout it from the rooftops. But best just kept it here for the time being I think!

BBC on line calendar says due 3 April, but i thought it would be later than this? AF was due yesterday or today, last one was 27 June (I think). Anyone know of any other calculators I can try?
When do you calculate you are due LMDFJ?

This is my second by the way, DS is 12mths.

Hope some more BFPs come to join us soon!

Jumbs

Try ivillage.co.uk, sorry crashing from April 08 post natal thread just to say congratulations and goodluck with your pregnancies.

jerin · 25/07/2008 22:05

Not tested yet but pretty sure I'm pregnant.... DS is only 9 months so will really have my hands full! Not even back at work yet and will have to tell them I'm pg on first day back!!

whatawally · 26/07/2008 19:29

Hey, I may be joining officially too. Am not due af till wednesday 30th. But did the deed right on ovulation and since tuesday have been feeling sick, headaches, shattered and v.forgetful. Tested 3 times using ebay early pg tests and have a faint positive. I should be due around April 8th.

I will have to chnage my nickname at some stage coz I have family on here and am incognito at the moment.

Cosmogirl · 27/07/2008 19:55

Hi ladies,

Can I tentatively join you? I got my BFP a week ago. Think I am due around 31st March, so am 5 weeks next week. This will be first baby, so all very exciting but scary at the same time!

Kalikaroo · 27/07/2008 20:43

Hi there. Can I also join you? Got a BFP on Thursday and will probably be due at v. beginning of April (according to dodgy due date calculator).

Hi Cosmo, my fellow first-timer!

Cosmogirl · 28/07/2008 08:30

Hi Kal! Good to see a familiar face! Any symptoms yet anyone? My only ones so far seem to be my boobs and nipples getting bigger (no soreness) and occassional tiredness. Also stomach looks bloated and at times is sticking out quite a bit - seems too early for stomach to be growing if I'm only 5 weeks.

Kalikaroo · 28/07/2008 08:42

Morning! So far I have felt very slightly crampy, but nothing as bad as period pain and also my boobs are a bit bigger. I've been completely knackered the last few days too and have been falling asleep during the day which I never do. Apart from that I feel completely fine - no sickness or anything (though I was a bit naughty this morning and tried to drink a cup of milky coffee, but it tasted horrid to me!! - I'm usually a total java junkie! Might be cos my DH made it though... )

According to due date calculator I'm about 5 weeks too. MY DH is putting bets on that I'll have it on April Fools day!

Kalikaroo · 28/07/2008 08:44

When do you reckon we have to go and see a doctor/midwife?
I'm off on holiday for a week this Thursday, so maybe I'll make an appointment when I get back.

Cosmogirl · 28/07/2008 10:08

Hi Kal,

I have an appt with midwife on 17th August (Sunday). Think I should be about 7 and a bit weeks then. It will be paperwork, blood tests etc she said. It seems to be different in different parts of the country but called GP and they referred me directly to the midwife.

Kalikaroo · 28/07/2008 13:25

I'm living in Scandinavia at the mo' so I have no idea what their way of doing things is. I think I'll just make a doctors appointment and they can tell me what to do!

I think you get registered with a local maternity clinic (luckily I think mine will be pretty near where I live). Also you have to register that you're pg with the social security office here before you're 4 months so they can give you the "baby box", which is a load of baby stuff you get (either that or you can choose 140 euros cash instead - think I'll go for the box, since it's apparently worth more). That's about all I know!!

Kalikaroo · 28/07/2008 13:27

Just found out that a work colleague is pg too, and she's also a foreigner, so hopefully we can figure things out together. I should tell her about mumsnet!

ruddynorah · 28/07/2008 22:37

Jumbs · 29/07/2008 12:35

Hello! Welcome to all the latest BFPS! Great list Gemzooks, saves me tracking back and trying to get my poor preg brain around it all (I'm already suffering!). Luckily this has been my only symptom so far and sometimes I forget I'm pregnant. Wonder when the sickness will kick in. Here's hoping were all lucky on that score.

foxymagoo · 29/07/2008 13:26

Hello and congrats to those alreday holding a BFP!

Well AF is still a no show here (due last Sunday). I'm never late but being very restrained and going to buy test tomorrow after work. If its a BPF I will be due 6th April. DS was born 6th June 2006 so there is a nice symmetry there

foxymagoo · 29/07/2008 20:35

Well I couldn't wait until tomorrow.... Bought Clearblue on way home from gym and got a BFP ! Did it sneakily when DH was bathing DS and DH has popped out for 10 mins so going to break the news on his return.

Au revoir red wine!

Gemzooks · 30/07/2008 06:40

Congrats on the BFP foxymagoo! great news! welcome to the club!

Cosmogirl · 30/07/2008 08:43

Hi all,

Congrats on BFP Foxy! Thanks for doing the list Gem.
Jumbs - don't seem to have many symptoms either, and like you, often forget I am actually pregnant. I'm a bit concerned about the whole sickness thing because I am actually a bit of an emetaphobe (have a phobia of vomit!) so will be interesting if I get it bad...Guess that would be one way to get over the fear. People who have had a child before, does the sickness creep up slowly? I have had occasional days of feeling a bit nauseous but not sure if some of it is in my head.

Gemzooks · 30/07/2008 11:33

hiya,

With the sickness, with DS and this preg I don't feel that sick, but just have little moments of thinking 'yuk'. I know what you mean about forgetting you're pg. I've had 2 m/c so am very wary at this stage and will only be reassured when I've had the early scan on 11 Aug. Hope everyone is not too knackered. I'm not jogging any more this time, just to be on the safe side, but thinking of joining the gym just to go on the cross trainer, as that was brill last time. Anyone else going to have an early scan?

Kalikaroo · 30/07/2008 15:16

Hi everyone! Off on holiday tomorrow, so won't be online for a week or so.

I'm feeling a bit yucky too, but haven't actually been sick. Everything tastes like earwax at the moment!!!

I've completely gone off coffee and jam for some reason.

Going to tell my parents about being pg on Friday - wish me luck!!!!

Jumbs · 30/07/2008 16:15

Have a good Holiday Kalkikaroo! cosmogirl I was lucky last time, I felt queasy but never actually sick. Should I say a work colleague was sick from week 5 until week 39?! You will probably go off stuff, I couldn't bear tea which made it difficult at work as I usually love the stuff and go to the kitchen for a tea and gossip. Had to just make it and pretend I'd forgotten to drink it!

Gemzooks , wishing you a sticky one this time, everything crossed for you.

jerin tested yet?!any sign of AF? wow, I was worried about my age gap you really are going to be busy next spring!

TT3 · 30/07/2008 18:17

Hi all
Congrats to all of you with a BFP! Me too, yesterday morning, though my tummy is like a football and am struggling to breathe in in front of my mum while she's here helping with DS today (just waiting a little bit before telling even her!) so have started fantasising that I am further on already!
Congrats again!
