Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

foxy - just seen your message, so so sorry to hear your news . I hope your time off work next week will allow you to relax a bit. All the very best wishes for the coming months - and do come back and visit us again soon.

maz32 · 30/08/2008 13:52

Elpis · 30/08/2008 14:49

hello all - I'm due April 23. It was a shock, let's say, as not only was I diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, but I was also diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in May. I was due to start treatment - which of course you can't have if you're pregnant - next week. Happily MS generally improves a lot during pregnancy, and the disease doesn't affect the baby.

No morning sickness at all yet! Just feeling a bit faint in the morning on the tube. As I say, it was a shock... I'm in north London, if anyone else is in a similar situation. But I really hate being defined as an MS patient, and in case you're wondering, I'm not disabled - just stiff right now, and with some numbness.

NattyThomasAndEllen · 30/08/2008 15:18

so sorry to hear that foxy, i hope you can relax and take some time for yourself next week to recover.
if you decided to get pregnant again, come and join me on the pregnancy after MC - knicker checkers thread, i had a miscarrige last month and its hard. did fall straight away the following month, apparently u are super fertile after a MC, just like after having a baby, dont know if that helps you at all tho

hope you feel better soon xxx

mm1509 · 30/08/2008 17:17

foxy - So so sorry for your news. Go join in on the miscarriage threads, unfortunately there are a quite a few of us you have been where you are, take care.

maz32 - hope it isn't bad news for your scan, don't just go with lack of symptoms they do say every pregnancy is different. You do sound that you are mentally preparing for bad news lets hope you get a pleasant surprise.

I had an early "reassurance" scan on Friday, looks like I am either not as far on as expected or things aren't looking to well. My cycle has been erratic to say the least since I had my last mc (month before BFP was 35 days) so it is quite possible that my dates are out, hope so. I go back in two weeks so we will know for sure then.

Hope everyone else isn't struggling too much with preg symptoms, my boobs are absolutely killing me can't seem to calm them down at the moment, surely a good sign!

maz32 · 30/08/2008 17:59

does any one know how long u get a positive pregnancy test even tho u have miscarried? i know everyone will be different i suppose? xx

Hi everyone, been away for a few days, just caught up.

Foxy - really sorry hon, just don't know what to say. Sending hugs and plenty of them.

I haven't got much news really, got my scan date in the post yesterday for 6th October, I'll be 12.2 weeks. Might not be able to keep it though as possibly moving house before then and it'll be 2 hours drive away. So not sure whether to risk trying to get an appointment all over again in the new area and possibly having to wait an extra week or 2 or 3 (you never know!) or making the 2 hour journey but possibly on my own as DP will not be able to get that much time off work.
Think as this is DP's 1st I'll just wait for new appointment in new area as I want him to experience it all too.
Does anyone know if there is likely to be a delay I'll be (hopefully) moving to grangemouth so it'll be Falkirk or Stirling I imagine.
Hope you're all ok xx

purplemonkeydishwasher · 31/08/2008 10:14

foxy - i'm so sorry. i hope you are ok (as ok as you can be) take care xx

lyrasilver · 31/08/2008 13:19

So sorry to hear your news Foxy, been keeping an eye on the thread and thinking about you. Everything crossed that things go your way soon. Lots of love to you all.

ScrumptiousBumptious · 31/08/2008 20:30

So sorry for you Foxy. Take it easy, and hope to see you on these threads in the future.

How's everybody else? Looks like everyone has been having a busy day. Or else everyone is too sick to get out of bed and mumsnet. (I hope this isn't the case!)

So what's going on this week? Has anyone got a scan? I got my scan date through yesterday (it's on the 26th September). So excited already. I didn't realise that they had changed it and instead of doing the triple test we have the nuchal scan at the dating scan. Does everyone get this?

Does anyone know if there is a time by which you should have all your initial bloods done? The midwife wanted to do them at the booking (8 weeks) but I was feeling faint and had had no breakfast, so I have made an appointment for 2 weeks time. However, I've got a wedding the following day, and from past experience of my delightful midwife, I know that she tends to shred and bruise my arms (NICE!) (Not a good look with my lovely wedding outfit!). The next appointment I can get for bloods is then 11 weeks. Is that too late? Sorry that was a bit waffly.

Carameli · 31/08/2008 21:12

Hi all,

I found out last week I am expecting DC3 April 29th according to the online calcs. We are away from home right now so have not been to see GP/midwife yet.
I have DD 5 in Oct and DS 20mnths. This pregnancy was unplanned so in a bit of shock right now but decided we want to go for it so keeping our fingers and toes crossed.

Have not read many messages yet so hello to everyone. Sorry to hear your news Foxy. The same happened to me in between DD and DS so I know what you are going through.

Does anyone else here have 2 already. I am a bit nervous about having a nearly 2.5yr old boy and a newborn. DD is much easier as she is a bit older.

LittleMyDancing · 31/08/2008 21:20

Foxy if you're still reading I'm so sorry to hear your news, you were my first friend on here right back at the beginning so I'm very sad to see you go

Hope you're ok and it works out for you soon.

Had friend staying this weekend with her 6 month old DS, am completely knackered so off to bed.

Welcome to newcomers and hope everyone is well

mathsmummy27 · 01/09/2008 07:50

hello all and so sorry to hear sad news
I am terrified I am going the same way - still got pains and now brownish stuff (sorry if TMI). Don't know whether to go to EPU or not as at work today and nothing they can do anyway?

Gemzooks · 01/09/2008 08:24

foxy, very sorry to hear your news, and hope you're looking after yourself.

mathsmummy, it might well just be ordinary growing cramps. Do you have a midwife yet as they might be able to get the heartbeat on the doppler to reassure you?

welcome newbies!

AngelDog · 01/09/2008 08:41

Hi, can I join up? According to the GP I'm due on 5th April, but I'm not very confident of the exact date given that my cycle varies ridiculously from 36 to 78 (!) days.

This is my first time so it's all a bit scary as well as exciting. Ever since we found out (a month or so ago) I have been sick as a parrot - no vomiting, but pretty much everything else. Fortunately I'm off work with a wrist problem so I can spend the day lying in bed - or groaning on the sofa. But things are looking up - I've eaten 2 proper meals in 24 hours - more than in the whole previous week. Food plays a big part in my life (always been a good eater) so it's hard going not wanting to eat anything! And after this, I'll never complain about period pains again...

Got my booking appointment on Wed this week.

ToastnHoney · 01/09/2008 09:26

Hi everyone, welcome AngelDog! Foxy, so sorry - really hope you'll get lucky again soon.

Stork - I went to the FMC a few weeks ago for an early scan - blimey it's posh! Nothing like my NHS doctor's surgery. The service was pretty good too I thought, though it should be for £100.

Despite having seen a heartbeat at the 7 wk scan, I'm now getting paranoid that something's gone wrong - my symptoms seem to have disappeared, the nausea has gone and even my boobs aren't sore any more. I'm 9+2 now. Has anyone else experienced this?

hopeful1 · 01/09/2008 09:43

foxy - so sorry to hear your news!!

Lauralou1 - I am also a clomid pregnancy felt pregnant first month and have had pain all along, though seems tobe calming down now (8+3).

I have a scan on thursday to check everything okay, I am really nervous, this week is going to drag!!

Hope you are all doing well today x

BabyBolat · 01/09/2008 11:15

Morning all - hope everyone is well, so sorry foxy, hope you are getting through it and welcome to all the newbies- we must nearly be complete now?

ToastnHoney I completely lost all my symptoms about 10 days ago for about 3 days and then they came back with one almighty force! So I wouldn't worry about it too much and enjoy it while it lasts!

At present my sickness fluctuates between bearable to just downright hideous - the only thing I can keep down are potatoes and dairy milk buttons! Am hoping that things will start to calm down as I get to the 12 week mark.

I am really considering paying for a private scan as it looks like I am not going to get one until at least 14 weeks and I am just not sure I can cope waiting that long! Does anyone know how I go about organising that?

surprisenumber3 · 01/09/2008 11:29

Just thought I'd pop by to say hi...

Foxy, so sorry to hear your news.

Congrats on the ladies with twins!

And welcome to everyone who has recently joined.

I have just come back from camping. Have never felt so nauseous, all I wanted to do was eat crisps and drink really cold water!

Also I am so grumpy and tired, can hardly get up in the mornings...am dreading the kids going back to school Wednesday..help!!

Have been having some horrible dreams about miscarriage, they are so real, even down to being wheeled to theatre. Hope they stop soon as I wake up really upset.

Hope you're all doing well. I have my booking in appointment with my midwife on Friday.

girlylala0807 · 01/09/2008 12:19
