How many weeks are you Mollie? I've not had any sickness yet but I think I'm quite far behind you Actually I thought I felt a little nauseous yesterday afternoon but I think it could have been psychological

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 09:11

I've just worked out there's almost 2 weeks between us. When did your MS kick in? I'd love a symptom of some sort!

I spent the day tempting fate yesterday. Went to the M&S sale and bought the cutest little vests for £3. Should've been £8. Also, they were pink! lol. I thought if I don't have a girl/preg doesn't work out then someone is bound to have a girl at some point so I can give them away. Can't go wrong for £3
Also I've been looking at buggies. I need a double for childminding. I already have one but the front seat doesn't lie back. So I've been looking into Jane Powertwin and Phil and Teds. I think I prefer the Phil and Teds as both seat lie back quite far. I might see if I can get a second have one on Ebay nearer the time. They still seem to go for around £200-£250 which is still a lot for me. I'm going to try and sell my double for £150. Apparently there's a couple of new Phil and Teds coming out so I'm hoping the model I want will come down in price
I LOVE BUGGIES!!!! Dp will kill me BTW

Fruity I'm 6 wks 4 days, have felt a bit sick on and off most of the week but didn't actually throw up until Friday and then yesterday. I'm OK if I don't move around too much (much to DH's disgust I think he thinks I'm making it up!) Don't like the smell of food cooking either, and have gone off certain things but all happened in last 2 days. Feel OK today but didn't like the smell of DH's toast this morning
I know what you mean about symptoms, I don't think I'd be happy until I had a big neon sign around me flashing "pregnant"

MollieMooma · 20/07/2008 09:35

Just looked at the Phil & Ted website, they are lovely pushchairs, very nice! Which one is your favourite?

Yarnie · 20/07/2008 09:52

Hi everyone.

Fruity that link is scary! We all have little aliens! I'm with you on the desire for symptoms. I can hardly tell I'm pregnant. I have very slightly sore boobs and I get whizzing and popping in my lower stomach, but that's it. DF thinks I'm mental for wanting morning sickness I am 4 weeks + 4 days today (exactly 2 weeks behind you, Mollie). What are you exactly, Fruity? Mollie I'm sorry to hear the MS is getting in the way of having a decent meal. I know I said I want MS, but obviously the reality sucks!

Emmsy Ewww! at your SIL's hand-me-downs! Just what you don't need!

Have a lovely Sunday, girls. I have work to do

DisenchantedPlusBump · 20/07/2008 09:58

Hello!

How are you all??

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 10:25

Hey Yarnie, I'm 4 weeks +5 days I reckon by my calculations (based on a normal cycle anyway - 2 weeks before I reckon I must have ov'd)

Mollie They are nice aren't they I know a lot of people don't like the bottom seat being so close to the ground but they fold really nicely (got a man in a shop to demonstrate for me ) and you can also use it for just one child. Very good idea if any of you are planning to have another after this one
They do a Sport model and an older E3 model. The one in the shop was a Sport and blue camouflage style. But because I'll be buying 2nd hand I'm not fussed on colour as long as it's CHEAP!!!Hi Disenchanted* You're back! How are you? Preg going well?

DisenchantedPlusBump · 20/07/2008 10:28

Am 17 weeks now and having a litle girl

My boys aren't impressed

Its speeding by!

Awww 4+5 are you feeling sick or anything yet?

Im still throwing up

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 10:29

DisenchantedPlusBump · 20/07/2008 10:30

Oooh I had that P&T from the USA ... I loved it!

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 10:34

No not feeling sick yet. Only symptom I've got is one boob had grown My right one is always smaller but during my last preg it didn't grow either. I'm gonna look really lop sided!

I'm kind of hoping for a little bit of nausea just for reasurrance. I got a little bit last time but was never sick. They say nausea is a sign of a healthy placenta

What did you change your name to?

OP posts:
DisenchantedPlusBump · 20/07/2008 10:35

I was litterbug

I didn't start feeling sick till 7 weeks and it hasn't stopped yet!

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 10:48

aw thanks disenchanted now i'm a little more reassured (word of the week ) Hopefully I'm just too early for symptoms.

MY MIL has just reminded me that they will be going back to the States so I'll get a Phil and Teds half price If you know anyone in The States it's definitely worth buying form there. Just looked on the American Ebay. For just under £200 you can get a brand new one!

No fruity i had a 50+ long cycle through Dec and Jan then had period on 26th Jan and 'O' on day 9 ish, which has never happened to me before, didn't actually conceive through the 50+ cycle, sorry for the confusion!
When my last DS was born I had a phil & teds(charcoal) it was great, he was born in November, and no one could tell I had a new born baby hidden in the bottom of the pram, used to get a lot of people pointing at us when we used the extra seat, as they were quite new out in this area then. The pram would fold like a buggy, and I would pop the wheels and handle off and it would fit in the back of my people carrier, even when I had all the seats up. When DS started getting a little bigger had to keep telling him not to touch the back wheel, as my model didn't have any guards on them. I had a few problems with the raincover as it had toddles on it and they kept coming undone, and becasue I was constantly taking the wheels off, the inner metal piece kept getting stuck, so had to order new wheels once, but on the whole, I really liked enjoyed having that pram rather than any other I have had

Yarnie · 20/07/2008 12:10

There is another BFP on the "testing on 18 July" thread I was on. That's 6 out of 13 with BFPs. Unbelievable! And there's another that sounds like she might get a BFP. Do you think there's going to be some kind of supernatural spurt in birth rates in March next year?!

MollieMooma · 20/07/2008 13:36

Yarnie Popular month March, or should we say special coz it's us lot
Disenchanted Hello and welcome back especially under your "real" name really pleased to hear your pg is going well, a little girl too, how fantastic
Fruity Gorgeous P&T pushchair really like it. When we got pg the first time Mum offered to buy our pushchair for us. This time she's just booked a caribbean cruise which is costing a fortune so I've told her she can't wriggle out of her promise!

MollieMooma · 20/07/2008 13:40

Fruity & Yarnie 47 on our list for March now bloody hell

FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 14:00

Oh right Emmsy. Not unuaual for me to get my wires crossed Wow! Day 9! That is an early ov.
Mollie I'm not going back on that thread. Far too confusing
In fact I did post something a few days ago (can't remember what now, not important) but it got completely ignored so there's not much point really. I'm sticking with our little circle of lovely ladies and of course Emmsy's waiting room and the chat thread

OP posts:
FruitynNutty · 20/07/2008 14:14

Oh I forgot to say! I've just told my mum over the phone!
I wanted to tell her face to face but I don't know when I'm going ot see her next and so many people seem to know already as I have a very large mouth and far too excitable .
She seemed happy. She said she was happy if I'm happy although she did say "well you need more space then don't you" Er, do I? Do siblings never share a room?

Ah well, only got my mindees parents to tell now. Obviously I'll wait a while 1st just in case they freak out (I know one set will, the others will be really happy) and the pregnancy doesn't last anyway. Still not sure what I'm going to do about work. I'll be over my numbers if I don't get rid of a few Really don't wanna see them go though
I'm wondering whether it would be worth my while to give up Childminding until DS is in full-time school next September. That way I can have an extra mindee from then as he will be classed as 5yrs old. Depends what the government are prepared to offer me I've never been on benefits before so have no idea how it works. Trouble is, if I reduce my numbers I'll be stuffed financially .
It's so confusing!

MollieMooma · 21/07/2008 10:10

Fruity Parents! I'm sure she will coo over your next one just as much as the first!

Well I'm suffering today, not just MS but because I'm getting so worked up about my scan tomorrow, my IBS has kicked in and I'm feeling really emotional. I've spoken to my boss and I'm going home in an hour as I'm hardly at my desk anyway! I can't stop thinking about tomorrow, I know I have no control over it and if things aren't right there's nothing I can do about it but I am really panicking now Sorry to bring this thread down

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 13:11

Oh mollie the pair of us are complete worry worts aren't we! Your scan will be just fine. Just think how exciting it is. Will you get a picture?

OP posts:
mibbes · 21/07/2008 13:35

Just had 20 week scan and all is well. All the bits are there and in the right place and measuring exactly 20 weeks . Such a relief, I was less worried this time than at the 12 week scan but still got nervous just before we went in. The sonogrpaher was lovely and gave us loads of pics including a brilliant one of the soles of his/her feet !

Mollie {{hugs}} I know only too well how you feel, it is such a worry but with any luck this time tomorrow you'll have a big cheesey grin plastered across your face

Yarnie · 21/07/2008 13:45

Mollie I do hope you're feeling better about your scan tomorrow. I have no doubt it's perfectly normal to be feeling anxious, but try and focus on the positive, exciting bits - like seeing the little bean Everything will be fine.

What a typical "mum" reaction from yours Fruity! She will be enchanted with her newest GC when it arrives I wonder how my mum will react. I suspect she will be happy and pleased and then feel crushingly old-before-her-time.

I think the mythical tiredness might have kicked in for me. I just walked a mere three quarters of a mile and I am completely shattered . It hit me like a brick. I was hoping to have a little nap as we're going out for dinner with a friend tonight, but Thames Water are digging outside my window .

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 14:29

We've also had Thames Water digging for what seems like forever!

I think my MIL feels old before her time too having two GC's at 46. She's really happy for us but I think she's finding it hard coming to terms with not having anymore of her own. She thinks she might be starting the menopause My SIL is a 10 year old IVF baby and now all the "spare" embryos will have been destroyed as they can't be kept for longer than 10 years
M&FIL talk a lot about adopting though
It would be a bit strange to have a BIL younger than our own DC's!

Mibbes Put a pic on your profile! Puurlease! I've also got a "Footprint" of DS at 20 weeks. Very cute!
