Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

Nice to meet you too, Dorothy. I´ve told in-laws, brother and other mum friends, and will tell parents next week. First time, I kept it pretty quiet till 12 weeks, preferring to play it safe (and avoiding potential upset for Mum). This time, I agree with MKG about wanting people to know (esp Mum) in case something does happen, like a mc.
Playing, sounds like you´re a bit negative - try not to think about mcs - and what do you mean you got pg too easily (unless I´ve missed something about yr history, in which case apologies)? It´s great that you´re pg, enjoy it, and statistically you´re more likely to go to full term than not, so stop worrying (don´t want to sound bossy, but it´s what I´d say to a mate!).

MKG · 05/07/2008 03:30

Playing defnintely don't see to much into getting pregnant two easily. All of my pregnancies have been unplanned and two of them are "sex once a month babies".

MKG · 05/07/2008 03:31

Welcome and congrats to Lobster and Dorothy.

Morning all! Been lurking for a while, but feel it's time to out! DC2 is due on the 8th March, and I can't quite believe it. Not many symptoms, which feels a bit unnerving, but if I'm anything like with dd the sickness will come soon enough. Congratulations to you all.

dorothywhipple · 05/07/2008 10:16

What a great forum, I'm so pleased to meet you all here thanks for your kind messages.
Lobster, when I was pg with my girl I knew within a couple of hours, this time in my desperation to be pg I have imagined myself suffering every pg symptom in the book, every single month for over a year!
Fififlores, I was opposite to you and told EVERYONE about my first pg, straight away. I only stopped when I told my boss that I was 6 wks and he visibally winced - then it occured to me that mc was a possibility. This time I'm sticking with you mumsnetters and thats that. (ha, I bet I come back tomorrow and tell you I've told everybody!)
Fearless, I like your nickname, mine is my fave author of the moment, it just always makes me laugh, imagine being Mrs Whipples! I'm imagining that LobsterLass is a fisherman's wife and Fififlores is A flowertot, and you like riding rollercoasters???
MKG - now what does that mean? Thanks for your message.
Congrats Laurenypops - same due date

MKG · 05/07/2008 12:59

God my spelling is terrible when it's late.

Dorothy--I just meant that none of my pregnancies have been planned and that ds2 and this one are the result of having sex one time in the month.

fififlores · 05/07/2008 17:43

thanks FF (same as me!) - you´re the 1st person I´ve come across who´s had a nuchal scan - they don´t seem to do them here - so great to hear exactly what it´s all about.

Dorothy - I told everyone cos I´m going away for 2 months, so if anything does happen, I won´t be here, so I figured, what the heck! Fififlores is actually my own name, would you believe it (dp´s translates as Frankie Flowers, sounds like a mobster) - i was too lazy and uncreative to come up with a clever moniker for this forum, which is full of good 'uns, pretty embarassing considering I write for a living.

dinny · 05/07/2008 18:11

hello, and welcome Dorothy and Lobster

I am sooo emotional today - ie. songs on radio making me weep madly!

and think am feeling a slight bit pukey but not sure

don't get my bloods back for a couple of weeks, I don't think, Fearless

dc3duemarch09 · 05/07/2008 20:20

Good evening ladies

Hope your all well, im really struggling with sickness at the moment, ive been feeling constantly sick now since tuesday .

I dont remember feeling this bad with my other 2 . So far ive tried travel sickness bands and nibbling on dry biscuits but neither have worked.

Went to see my GP yesterday and he is going to get the MW to book me in for an early scan, so hopefully sometime soon we should find out when this little bundle is due, i have a feeling that i may be further along than i originally thought, as my sickness didnt start untill 10 weeks plus with other two.

MKG · 06/07/2008 13:27

dc3--Maybe there are two in there?

dc3duemarch09 · 06/07/2008 15:29

OMG dont say that MKG .

Actually the sickness is much better today, thank god!! so fingers crossed its calmed down abit.

auntyspan · 06/07/2008 15:30

Hi Ladies!!

Sorry for absence... was away for the weekend at a wedding reception... was a great night other than the fact I wanted to disappear at 11pm! Two of my best friends guessed I was preggers as I was on tonic water all night!! The air-con broke down in our hotel room but other than that it was a really nice night away! Had my docs appointment too and have booking in session with m/w at the end of the month.

Pooped now though.... looking forward to my bed tonight!

Welcome new ladies!!

Morning all, Hope we all had a good weekend!

Thanks for worrying about me fifi but I'm not nearly as negetaive as my posts sound! I'm generally a pretty upbeat and optomistic person. I just didn't come across that way!

The reason I say I got pg too quickly is more my own surprise and also a mixture of my own health issues and having had cousins who have had lots of problems, so almost expecting to have problems myself! The gp told me that getting pg would probably take quite a while as my periods can still be quite irregular and are def not quite back to normal, anything between 31 and 38 days, whereas they used to be 30 days every single month. Basically, I was really ill a few years ago and had no periods for almost 2 years and they've taken a while to become anything resembling regular. So the last thing I was expecting was to get pg very first try, we only agreed to start on 10th June.

I am well aware that the odds are in my favour and hopefully this pg will be problem free but I am working very hard to also keep myself grounded! For me its very important that I don't take for granted everything will be ok, although hopefully it will be. Its not that I am worrying they won't be or feeling negative, I am actually incredibly calm about the whole thing, its more that I can't let myself get too carried away yet. I am cautiously excited, one of us has to be, DH is already looking at prams and cots!

It also doesn't feel particularly real yet. I've told Mum, Dad, sis and bro, so that has helped but I still feel as if I am dreaming it all. I'm going to see the gp tonight and have been booked in to see the midwife on the 16th July so that should all help.

ceedub · 07/07/2008 11:58

Hi everyone, how are we all feeling? I'm in the grip of a terrible cold, so can't really tell whether it's that, or ms which is causing my stomach to do somersaults everytime i look at food.
also, anyone else having trouble sleeping? I'm usually out like a light as soon as my head goes down, but am tossing and turning and finding it really hard to get to sleep, or stay asleep. Don't know whether I want it to be ms (good symtoms) or not (can I really put up with this for at least another 6 weeks?

MKG · 07/07/2008 12:12

I'm having trouble sleeping too, but I don't know if it's the heat or pregnancy. It's so humid and gross now.

HopingCat · 07/07/2008 12:16

Hi,

I've come to join in. Got my BFP last week and am due around 12th March I think. Is there a list for me to add myself to, or should I try and start one? Will just check back in the posts to check it's not been done already.

Oh and congratulations!

MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 12:23

Hi I've been lurking for nearly a week now since getting my BFP 1st July but a bit worried that I will jinx things if I join an ante-natal thread, stupid I know!
So I've decided to join today, due date by LMP is 11th March or 13th if I go by OV date. This is our 2nd pregnancy, we tried for nearly 2 years to get pg, and were thrilled when we got a BFP last December, unfortunately I had a mm/c diagnosed in Jan 08. Also had some spotting Saturday morning which I am hoping was just beanie getting comfortable but as you can imagine I went into panic mode!
Congratulations to all you lovely ladies, I look forward to getting to know you all

MKG · 07/07/2008 12:24

Congrats Mollie!

MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 12:30
