Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

oh, lol Fifi!

the bouncing....I'd say don't worry but others may not agree....

auntyspan · 30/06/2008 17:28

I wouldn't worry at the moment unless he's properly stamping... can you wiggle him down to the top of your thighs or something??

DD is 2.5 and is going through a horrific "screaming whenever she wakes up" stage - and I need my sleep at the moment!!

ah, interesting - let´s see what anyone else says.

the other thing is that I´ll be flying back with him in a couple of months, by which time I may have a belly, and then I imagine it´s not so good for him to sit on it - I read somewhere that a pregnant woman (flying on Ryanair, which I´ll be on) wasn´t allowed to book a seat for her toddler, so she didn´t have to have him sitting on her. They also told her that´s it is not allowed for a pregnant woman to fly with a toddler. Biggest load of I´ve ever heard.

fififlores · 30/06/2008 21:02

yes, auntyspan, I guess that a tiny wee fertilised egg can come to too much harm!

poor you with the screaming, that makes me lose my rag even faster than not eating!

fififlores · 30/06/2008 21:02

I meant to say can´t come to too much harm.

auntyspan · 01/07/2008 08:57

So how are we all this morning ladies?? I'm feeling a tad sick at the moment and I'm sure my belly has got bigger..... DH thinks I'm imagining it

Looking forward to telling mum on Friday - I can't believe I've kept it from her for a whole week

Has anyone told anyone other than DH / DP yet??

OP posts:
dinny · 01/07/2008 09:50

hello, Auntyspane

I have told me dh, my mum and dad and my sister, plus a couple of close friends - all the people I would tell if anything happened...

I feel normal still, think I am four weeks today, VERY early!

fififlores · 01/07/2008 11:15

I´ve told DH, mother-in-law, other mum friends, and brother, but then it slipped out at a wedding on Saturday. Telling my mum when I´m back in England next week, can´t wait. Feeling very wobbly physically and emotionally, bed is favourite place, and weep at the sight of small babies.

auntyspan · 01/07/2008 11:21

yes I'm a bit weepy too - I listened to 'Abide with me' on my ipod on the way home last night and was filling up!! Most unlike me

I think I'm 4 weeks today too Dinny. Does that mean your LMP was the 5th June? Feels really early doesn't it.... although I do feel different with this pg than the one I mc with... fingers crossed....

Fifi have you phoned Ryanair?

OP posts:
fififlores · 01/07/2008 11:30

No, it´s more for the return flight in Sept, when I´ll have more of a bump, and to be honest I´d rather they didn´t know so they can´t make a fuss. I´ve been lucky enough so far that on every flight I´ve done on my own with DS, noone has wanted to sit next to us (can you blame them), so we´ve always had 3 seats to ourselves, which more or less solves the problem - if necc I will make produce enough noise to dissuade would-be neighbours.

dinny · 01/07/2008 11:33

Aunty, how many weeks did you miscarry at? my last period was Tuesday 3rd June...

I think that makes me 4 weeks today?

how do you feel this time compared to last time? I don't really feel different, really, can't remember if I even knew I was pg at this stage with dd and ds!

am stressing as there is slapped cheek going round our school and my mum can't remember if I've had it..... hope I have.

fififlores · 01/07/2008 12:09

What is slapped cheek?

Aunty, sorry I missed the miscarriage bit in your message - not up to speed with acronyms yet - fingers crossed for you that all continues well. Mc scares me much more than last time, don´t know why - maybe cos was so over the moon with first pg.

auntyspan · 01/07/2008 12:34

I m/c at 8 weeks last time but had few symtoms so I suspect I was only pg for about 6 weeks. Totally unplanned as DD was only 4 months old, hadn't had AF and didn't realise I was ovulating TBH i don't think my body was ready to be pg again, hence the m/c as I had quite a rough birth with DD (ended up a emergency cs, transfusion etc)

I feel loads more positive about this one though.....

I've heard about slapped cheek before but don't really know much about it - it's a virus yes?

OP posts:
dinny · 01/07/2008 13:22

Aunty, mmmm, I feel a bit symptomless, no metallic taste, no sore boobs, no sickness - is it too early, I wonder? God, worry worry

yes, slapped cheek is a virus that affects children usually - symptoms are a cold/tummy upset and bright red rash, usually on cheeks

fififlores · 01/07/2008 14:04

I have swollen, slightly sore boobs, which DS has taken to blowing raspberries on.

Slapped cheek is a new one for me - the things you learn when you´re a parent.

auntyspan · 01/07/2008 14:20

I had NO symptoms with DD until 6 / 6.5 weeks so I wouldn't worry Dinny. I remember being really smug - until I was hunched over the loo!! You could put your mind at rest by doing another pg test? A pal of mine did one every few days during the first couple of weeks...

OP posts:
dinny · 01/07/2008 14:23

ah, thanks, AuntyS

I shall presume all is well so long as haven't had period

at what stage of pg do you need a D&C etc if you DO miscarry?

auntyspan · 01/07/2008 16:50

I didn't need a D&C as I had an internal scan and I'd passed the majority within a day. I bled for a about a week (sorry if tmi) but i know of people who have had D&C's (or ERPC or something - i think that's what they're called now...) at over 10 weeks.

No AF = good sticky baby

OP posts:
fififlores · 01/07/2008 17:08

not at all tmi, aunty, I think it´s very useful to have all the i available. thanks for sharing your experience. I had a D&C 10 daysafter giving birth, when I had a big bleed, and I found it more uncomfortable afterwards than after having the baby.

dinny · 01/07/2008 17:36

thanks Aunty

gosh, hope everything is OK for us all

auntyspan · 02/07/2008 09:25

Dinny - how are you feeling this morning? Any symptoms yet?
Funnily enough I don't feel ANY sickness this morning. I'm tired but that's due to DD waking up at 5am cos DH had shut the cat in her room

OP posts:
fififlores · 02/07/2008 11:46

I am still feeling incredibly scatty, I just left my car window wide open twice while parked.

ceedub · 02/07/2008 13:12

Hi everyone, no sickness yet, thank goodness, though was in floods of tears yesterday - very unlike me. Poor DP didn't know what had hit him. back to usual (mostly) sane self this morning

dinny · 02/07/2008 13:38

Hello, don't feel sick, but thinking back to dd and ds pregnancies, it wasn't until after had been to the doctor I felt sick, a while after

I am seeing Gp at 2pm, feels too early, feel like a fake!

I AM tired though, the last two evenings have fallen asleep with dd and ds watching Max and Ruby at 7pm.

emma2617 · 02/07/2008 14:51

Sorry to gatecrash ladies!! I have had 7 BFPs in the last 2 days, but I can't stop testing!!!!

How many tests has everyone else done?! I just can't quite beleive it, I have tried almost every brand I can get my hands on!!
