auntyspan · 27/06/2008 22:12

Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

emma2617 · 07/07/2008 12:47

ceedub I am so pleased someone else is having trouble sleeping!! I am dog tired but just toss and turn for hours, then only stay asleep for a couple of hours!! Then if I try to have a nap in the afternoon as I have absolutely no energy, I can't sleep then either!!!

I have posted before but have just been lurking the last week or so as you ladies are very hard to keep up with!!!

I haven't had MS yet and although on one hand I really dont really want it to arrive, on the other it would be good to have a concrete symptom!! But then today I walked into the canteen at work and the smell knocked me sick!! Plus I have been craving cheese and pickle sandwiches...I had 3 yesterday and another for my breakfast this morning!! It is getting hard to keep it from people at work!!

emma2617 · 07/07/2008 12:52

Well...spot the twit!!! I read the bottom of page 1 and thought that was it...when in actual fact there was 5 pages!! Oh well!!

I would put my EDD on but i dont think I can rely on the date of my LMP as I only just had the implant removed. So I will have to wait until I see doctor/midwife!!

Sorry, I will catch up later tonight!! Have a nice afternoon!!

dinny · 07/07/2008 14:39

Well done for doing list.
I THINK I am feeling slightly nauseous sometimes but keep thinking I am imagining it. also, tired and emotional

Hi everyone I have been to see the doctor today and my EDD has been changed to the 3rd March (from the 1st). The doctor was telling me that it is normal for morning sickness to develop around 6/7weeks, cant believe that I desperately want it to arrive!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend xx

Playingthe9monthwait · 07/07/2008 14:57

I am also having trouble sleeping and occassionally have very slight nauseous feelings but nothing much. Feeling tired with sore boobs and not quite myself but thats about it to be honest. Oh and a slight cramping feeling, cross between Af pains, trapped wind and a full bladder which comes and goes a bit. Apart from that no real symptoms. If fact if I didn't know I would just think I was sickening for something. Can't wait to see the gp and midwife as it might make it seem more real! I am still finding it hard to believe that I am actually pg!

Right, better update my details:

I've had no problem dropping off to sleep but have had problems staying asleep last 4 mornings been awake about 4/4.30 am and unable to go back to sleep.
Playing I've got the same wierdness going on in my tummy too, the only way I could explain it to dh was that it felt like I had a really full bladder sort of sore and twingy. But no sickness as yet, almost wishing it on myself and I just hope that I will live to regret that last comment!

I've got a GP appt for Weds and will hopefully have an early scan booked, but until then can't believe it's happening!

Is good to know I'm not the only one Mollie with odd stomach sensations. Actually, I have been told its quite normal and its not painful just a little uncomfortable at times, so I'm not worried. I suppose there's a lot going on down there

Hello ladies, I'm also feeling very tired but having trouble sleeping and staying asleep. Tend to start feeling a bit grotty in the afternoon, and going down hill until bed time, the only thing that makes me feel a but better is Twiglets.......
I'm also getting the crampy pains, but generally when I'm feeling tired. I was at a wedding reception at the weekend and had to spill my news to stop being dragged into a drinking game (after I used various excuses for not wanting another drink, and they wouldn't take no for an answer).
Does anyone know when your medical prescriptions become free as a result of pregnat status? x

oops, had made myself a year older than I am!!

GM, they are free straight away, I think

Evening all! Thanks for the list, makes it seem a bit more real. I too am having trouble sleeping, have sore boobs, and feel really, uncomfortably bloated. I have never been so pleased to feel out of sorts! Going to see GP on Weds and am looking forward to telling somebody! Only me and DH know at the moment, as my parents are on holiday and don't want to tell anybody before them. I have updated list just to add DD on!

Right, so...I'm watching for symptoms like mad since CP in April.

Don't suppose I'll settle for anything less than incapacitating nausea, but anyway, the list so far.

Fatigue, sore boobs, cold sore (nice!), and boils spots on my face.

dorothywhipple · 07/07/2008 21:12

LobsterLass I second your boils sorry, spotty face and I add constant, loud, highly unfeminine flatulence! Please, morning sickness would be much more preferable!

Went to see my GP today, he's going to do an early 11 week scan - I have to wait 6 more weeks!

Love the list...

Munchies - I know what you mean about wanting the nausea to arrive. I had horrible morning sickness last time and hated every minute of it, but the lack of symptoms is just a bit disconcerting. I have been feeling really tired though, which I didn't feel at all last time (fact that I have active toddler now may have something to do with that!).

Dorothy Whipple - great nickname.Haven't read any of her books, but recognised the name from the Persephone list. Have absolutely loads of their books.

Hi Elsy, aren't they just the best books. I've only recently discovered them, what are your fave recommendations? I'm using tiredness symptom to get more peaceful reading time.

auntyspan · 08/07/2008 09:51

Morning ladies.... i think my symptoms have disappeared!! I haven't retched for a couple of days and yes, I'm tired but no more than usual tbh.... not really worrying as what will be will be.

Still parping for britain though

MollieMooma · 08/07/2008 09:55

Morning all
Aunty I'm sure its nothing to worry about, and may be the lull before the storm
I don't have any symptoms to write about really, I seem to wake very very early every morning but that could just be a bad habit I've got into now. My (.)(.) are tender and get worse through the day and are very sore by the evening, but other than that nothing!

emma2617 · 08/07/2008 10:20

Morning Ladies!!

A couple of you may remenmber my overdramatic GP from the TTC thread...the one who insisted on tessting for thyroid, anaemia and diabetes without even contemplating the fact i may be pregnant!! Well, I went to see him again today! I had my first HCG bloods on 27th June which were 29, and 2nd lot on 3rd July (6 days apart) based on levels doubling every 2 days the 2nd lot should have been around 250.....they were 472!! However, based on date of LMP I should be about 6/7 weeks which makes my HCG levels very low. I explained to the doctor that I had only just had my implant out and therefore my cycle could not be relied on to calculate dates etc. But even still...he took more bloods and kept talking about ectopic pregnancies and how if it was "it needs sorting asap"...I actually HATE him, he is such a drama queen and so insensitive

Sorry for the rant...but I needec to get it off my chest...I know this should be a place of joy and happiness!

MollieMooma · 08/07/2008 10:28

Emma Unfortunately as a lot of us know the road of pregnancy is not always happiness and light, so don't feel you can't come and rant. When will you get the results of the blood test today? Try not to worry and relax (I know it's hard) It sounds like your GP could do with some bedside manner training, are you able to change doctors?

ceedub · 08/07/2008 10:30

Hi everyone,
Emma, you must feel like a pincushion - honestly, that sort of GP would be my absolute nightmare...I have a horror of needles/blood tests etc. And I can't believe he's raising all sorts of potential problems without there being any basis to cause you that kind of stress. Any chance you could switch to someone a bit more reasonable?
As for me, had serious nausea on the train this morning, accompanied by cramping. Had a teeny bit of brown spotting yesterday, so am taking this morning's symptoms as positive signs. still waiting to hear from hospital as to when I might have my early scan...hoping it'll be soon as we have DP's parents coming to stay this weekend, and when I say I'm not drinking they'll guess for sure!
btw, I'm 34. if this one goes to term, it'll be my first!

emma2617 · 08/07/2008 10:47

Mollie and ceedub I would love to change and after this doctor has given me the results I will be making any further appointments with another doctor...he just stresses me out and has really upset me today. Especially as DP has no idea what an ectopic pregnancy is and now I amhaving to explain it and what the consequences might be which is even more upsetting

Doctor said I should get the results either today or tomorrow, he is going to ring me. If I don't get them today it is going to be a long sleepless night!

auntyspan · 08/07/2008 11:06

emma he sounds horrible - talk about panicking unnecessarily!!

My GP said she'd ring me tomorrow with regards getting a referral for a nuchal fold scan - she seemed on the ball - lets hope she is!!

PS she didn't even dip my wee - never mind the blood test! Totally the other end of the scale!

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 11:09

Morning all,

Sorry about your useless gp Emma. I went to see a new one yesterday (mines on sabatical) and she was very nice but completely useless as she is just filling in for 3 months so has no idea how things work around here so couldn't answer my questions about scan timings etc. At least she was nice though and I get to see the midwife next week! One thing that did make me laugh was she asked me where I wanted to give birth, I am only just over 5 weeks and know very little about all the options and I am obviously still in the "danger zone" for mc!! So, I just mumbled something about low intervention and midwife led care at the birthing centre next door. No idea if thats the route I am actually going to take if I do get that far!

Ceedub, I have also had proper nausea for the first time today. I actually thought I might be sick but wasn't in the end. Still feeling pretty ropey but nothing like as bad. I am really going to have to start eating breakfast now, I'm sure it was lack of food that made it so bad. Fingers crossed that the spotting is nothing to worry about, particularly as its old brown blood, I'm sure its probably normal.

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 11:10

Aunty - mine didn't test me either.
