Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

I think you MIGHT be pregnant.... when are you due?

dinny · 02/07/2008 17:59

lol - I have done two tests, only two because the first was four years out of date!

I think you just might be pregnant, Emma!

been to GP, am having bloods done tomorrow to test for parvovirus and an early scan too

felt way too early to be at GP, though she said best to be tested ASAP

MKG · 02/07/2008 18:39

Hi all I just confirmed (with my 4th test today, after two barely there lines and one that didn't work) that I am pregnant.

Let me introduce myself

I'm MKG, I'm American living in US and I've been posting on MN for almost two years now. I have a soon to be 3 yo and a just turned 1 yo. I had a miscarriage in January, and am thrilled to be pregnant again.
I also enjoy long walks on the beach, chinese food, and scary movies.

I think my edd would be the 10th or 11th of March.

dinny · 02/07/2008 19:26

MKG, big congratulations! Another 3rd-timer to keep me company

Elsy · 02/07/2008 19:36

Hi, I'm due 9 March. Have DD of 18 months and am rather terrified about going from 1 to 2. No symptoms yet (apart from Spidey super sense of smell) but had bad sickness last time which started around 8 weeks. Am hoping it's not so bad this time.

dinny · 02/07/2008 19:38

Hi, Elsy - congratulations! I think I am due 9th March too (as your LMP 3rd june?)!

and ditto sense of smell! keep getting paranoid as no other symptons (except frequent weeing and a bit of tiredness, I suppose maybe) - expect the ms will kick in when we are on holiday in Greece in 3.5 weeks - typical!!

nomorenappies · 02/07/2008 22:31

Hello again, this thread is getting really big now congratulations to everyone. I am starting to feel very tired now & bit sick too

emma2617 · 02/07/2008 23:52

Evening Ladies!! According to date of LMP due date is 23/02/09 however I'm pretty sure I conceived later than that so pretty sure should be due early march! It is #1...and we conceived cycle 1 so very lucky!

I am seeing the nurse in the morning for follow up bloods (i had them taken for thyroid/anaemia/glucose/hcg as the doctor didnt believe i was pg so insisted on testing for everything...it was quite a saga!) So I am going to ask her to o a test and then tak it from there!

I never actually thought about the pregnancy bit...I totally don't know what to do or expect!! I am very very very extremely happy...but a tad scared!!

I see a couple of familiar names...congrats to the rest of you...hope all is going well!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/07/2008 08:17

Another one just wishing you all luck

Especially to MKG, I had no idea! Huge congrats

Playingthewaitinggame · 03/07/2008 09:27

Good morning, may I join your lovely thread please? Just got 2 nice clear BFPs this morning with different brands (clear blue and tesco own brand)!

If everything goes well this will be my first child so I am really excited and can't stop grinning.

EDD: Slightly tricky, if you go by last date of AF, 6th March but if you adjust for my longer periods then probably more like 10-12th March.

Oh and Congratulations to everyone with BFP's

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 09:43

Just realised I should probably change my name now!

auntyspan · 03/07/2008 10:43

ooooo MORNING everyone and congrats

playingthewaitingame I remember you from you the TTC thread - so pleased you got your BFP. I think I'm due on the 12th too!

Welcome elsy fearlessfresk and MKG from across the pond.... here's a to fat fab 9 months!

dinny where in Greece are you going? I just got back about a month ago (where we got married.. yes honeymoon baby!)

Am seeing the doctor tomorrow to get everything confirmed and try and get an early scan date.

Went out for a curry last night and ate LOADS - didn't feel as sick this morning so I think this is the key for me - not going to bed on an empty stomach. However, boobs this morning are on fire and very tender.

Has anyone had any cravings yet? I didnt have any with DD but I cant get enought of pickled chilli at the minute, oh my mouth is watering......

auntyspan · 03/07/2008 11:41

sausage rolls - craved them all through my pg with DD too.... why can;t I crave grapes, or pumpkin seeds, or something HEALTHY??

OP posts:
MKG · 03/07/2008 11:56

My main symptom has been my cravings.

Symptoms have gone is this order

Nausea a week ago, now pretty much gone.
Lots of discharge (same as other pregnancies)
Need for tomatoes and tomato products.

I put it together the other day as I was having a bowl of Marinara sauce with ricotta cheese mixed in.
With ds1 I drank an entire jar of marinara sauce in under 2 minutes, I knew I was pregnant with ds2 when I felt the need to put ketchup on everything. And the other day out came my need.

My first pregnancy was fine except for sleeping through most of it.
Second pregnancy I forgot I was pregnant it was so easy. Hopefully this one will be the same.
Gonna call and make my pre-natal appointment today.

Oh and last night I did my birth plan and my labor bag checklist. I love giving birth, pregnancy is all right, but I love giving birth. Oh I can't wait till March.

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 11:58

Hi Aunty - nice to "see" you again!

Cravings, no not really. Do not have much in the way of symptoms apart from sore boobs and a slightly weird floaty feeling.

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 12:00

I did have nausea and a metallic taste in my mouth just over a week ago for 2/3 days but that has gone now.

auntyspan · 03/07/2008 12:32

Playingtwg - re: that weird floaty feeling..... you should probably stop the daytime gin drinking now you're preggers

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 12:44

oh shit, I didn't think about that

ceedub · 03/07/2008 12:55

Hi everyone, saw dr this morning to book early scan, which was all very straightforward. Hopefully it shows that this one is planning to hang around for the full 9 mths, then i can start to relax a bit! only symptoms I can spot so far are (even) bigger boobs and lots of bursting into tears! Due on the 2nd, i think

munchiesmama · 03/07/2008 13:05

Thank goodness for scans! My SIL was saying even about 7yrs ago they only had one scan at 20wks..... i couldnt wait that long

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 13:12

Good luck with you scan Ceedub

I have been told that we only have 16 week scans in my area. Not sure if this is correct but quite a few people have said that. If its true I will def pay for a private scan, I can't wait 4 months!

Has anyone else been to the gp yet? Not sure if I should go now or wait. Part of me feels that its early days so there is no point. The other part of me thinks that it would be good to go early to get this pg on record so if I do mc than at least there is a record of it. What do you think?

munchiesmama · 03/07/2008 13:38

Sorry Playing i thought everyone had the 12 wk nuchal fold scan.

I have booked in to see the doc on Monday i will be 6wks then, also i had to see the doc before i could make a midwife appointment, and i know she gets booked up weeks in advance. It wont hurt to contact your doc now, even thought it is early u are still pregnant
