"Creme eggs roll over as babies roll out...or so we're hoping!!"

Nope cheese was not wasted its firmly lodged in my tum

josey · 02/05/2008 18:08

love the pjs now they would be worth buying

libralady · 02/05/2008 19:09

I can't believe how much you guys talk during the day. Imagine what we'll be like when we all on maternity leave and have access to MN during the day! I'm dreading to think how much I'll have to catch up on with being away for a week and how many babies will have made an appearance when I get back. I'm hoping there will be news on Neenz before I go on Sunday morning. How am I going to cope without MN for 8 days!

makecakesnotwar · 02/05/2008 19:13

Seriously guys- I only went to NCT for the day and I have FOUR PAGES to read through...

Neenz- fab bump pic and at your sex drive...had to give that up due to SPD but if I had my way we'd still be at it. I thnk DH is bloody glad I have SPD. Mind you, might have a go next week before I get induced.

Oh, and Debs, my pram is navy, not gold....am not a dodgy rap star!!

makecakesnotwar · 02/05/2008 19:17

Cut off a huge post...no bad thing. Have discovered I can no longer lean forward, so keep dropping food on my clothes and am struggling to reach pedals when I drive. Plus have discoveerd stretch marks on boobs and under bump (thought I didn't have any but they were just hiding where I couldn't see them)

2 ladies with 6 week old babies came to our NCT class today...both had 12 labours with nothing more than breathing and gas and air...both in to their size 10 (a guess on my part) jeans and both babies sleeping through. Is that just coincidence, do you think, or is my NCT group really worth the money.....

PiggyPenguin · 02/05/2008 20:05

Hey everyone. Had really quiet day today lying on sofa after dodgy fainting spell/hospital visit yesterday so am just trying to catch up.

Neenz - am very impressed you and dh are still doing the business. The whole wee thing happened to me recently too so I wouldn't worry. Besides, who else are you going to tell such things to if not us?!!

PearTart · 02/05/2008 20:24

Evening all.
Feeling achey around hips and feet and having to walk slowly. Would love to do nothing until baby comes.

Impressed with the shagging- all those who still are. I'm having some desperately horny dreams but no action. Neenz- there is a name for that kind of thing if you carry on with it!!

Seriously worried about the sleb with the gold pram- just think of the sun damage you'd get from the reflections. (I'm imagining nipping to the co-op with one for a pint of milk and getting wedged in the chocolate aisle.)
And Deb, I'm cooking up here too. House thermostat is turned right down and DH has to put up with us sleeping under a summer weight duvet.

Upsidedowncake · 02/05/2008 20:33

We really have no shame any more, do we? I think it's great that we have somewhere to share all of this. Let's face it ... our rl, non-mother friends aren't going to want to hear about it ... and the ones that are mothers will have blanked it all from their minds!

Mumsnet to the rescue!!!

josey · 02/05/2008 21:06

oh heavens peartart poops and sivs gawds....glad i decided against a pool now think DH would divorce me if he had to do something along those lines.

alipalli · 02/05/2008 21:37

Neenz - much respect both on the shagging and the size of your bump (to think that I thought my bump was sticking out).

Just told my Mum about my second breakfast this morning. She said - yes its now that you will put the weight on isn't it. TBH she is probably right.

aberdeenhiker · 02/05/2008 21:55

makecakesnotwar - about the 2 NCT women with 6 week olds sleeping through. That's not normal! From my NCT class of 5, none slept through until around 3 months and many of us were still waiting for a good night's sleep at 6 months. And none of us were back in our regular clothes that quick either. Obviously a biased sample - the NCT's idealism drives me mad sometimes!

debinaustria · 02/05/2008 22:15

Makecakes - LOL about the pram!! In my 1st pregnancy I too thought I had no stretch marks until I discovered them under the bump, dh had been too scared kind to mention them.If your baby sleeps through from 6 weeks, i think your NCT group needs investigating for slipping drugs into the cakes for breastfeeding mothers on coffee mornings Ds1 was at least 6 months and ds2 was 4 years old

Peartart - glad it's not just me overheating

bitofadramaqueen · 02/05/2008 23:14

Just catching up on this evening's posts, but now away to check under my bump for any hidden stretch marks!

OP posts:
Rolf · 02/05/2008 23:44

Peartart - ewww! I'm hoping the midwife will deal with that sort of thing. DH definitely couldn't handle it and I wouldn't want him to either!

debinaustria · 03/05/2008 07:17

Good morning ladies, beautiful day here and digger has been in next doors garden since 7.00 am

I think today may be the day to decide on yet another thread title so I'll have a look for all the suggestions and we can have a vote.

1."Creme eggs roll over as babies roll out...or so we're hoping!!"

2.Due June 08 - bags packed, lady gardens tidied, creme eggs consumed . . we're ready to go!

3.Due June 08 - Creme egg season is over, summer is now here, so time to tidy the ladygarden before the big day'

4.Not long to go now, time to pack our bags and tidy our ladygardens ready for the big day"

So can you vote please, my favourite is no3

libralady · 03/05/2008 08:01

Going back to the fact that the NCT babies were sleeping through at 6 weeks, I didn't do NCT classes, just your bulk standard NHS ones at my local surgery with two midwifes, and my DS DID sleep through from 6 weeks. And he was in his own room, and he wasn't being breast fed (not through lack of trying but he just didn't want to know!) I know how lucky I was and I hope this LO will be the same re sleeping though as I'm only taking 12 weeks Mat Leave so the last think I need is to do a full day's work and then be up half the night with LO.
My poor SIL's daughter (now 26) didn't sleep through until she was 5. I now rib my niece about it - she's DS's godmother.

libralady · 03/05/2008 08:01

Sorry Debs, I like number three also.

sophiewd · 03/05/2008 08:06

Morning all. was the first night of not sleeping well so impressed I got this far. Just the 2 for breakfast today and a late one but did get worried last night when they hadn't come back after being out walking since 10.30am, had visions of calling hospitals, police this morning or the police coming knocking on my door at 3am like they did last year after they arrested some of my guests.

It's a nice day so will get out later.

DD slept through from 12 weeks, but from the start she only woke up once between 11pm and 8am, and another friends 2 boys both slept from about 8 weeks, I think you either get a good sleeper or you don't.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, we are having a BBQ on Monday, will be the last time I feel like hosting so making the most of it.

Upsidedowncake · 03/05/2008 08:35

I like no 3 too.

We are having a BBQ tomorrow as well - we came over all spontaneous on Thursday evening and invited about 25 people by text, imagining that no one would be around. So we now have 16 adults qand 5 children coming ... I hope the weather holds!

splodgesmum · 03/05/2008 08:48

The sun is shining and it's a bank holiday - what happened?!

I'm off to my first NCT class this morning so will be listening out for tips on how to get splodge to sleep through the night from 6 weeks . . .

Oh, and if NCT can advise me how to get into a size 10 pair of jeans after the birth they'll be worth every penny - I haven't been a size 10 since I was in primary school!

makecakesnotwar · 03/05/2008 09:17

Morning all-

knackered as stayed up late to find out who won London Mayor....but off to the seaside for BH weekend (and pick up my pram) Hurrah!

I cannot believe that we've filled an entire thread since 17 April.....and I vote for number three, Debs. Hope you have a good day planting your boxes!

News from Neenz???

Parofleurmapu · 03/05/2008 11:07

Morning

I like thread title number 3 too.

My Dp loved the gold pram especially the speakers!! Our house is wired up to everthing, all that can has surround sound even the baby monitor will have surround sound and can connect to plasma tv if we want!!!!! DP verfy into gadgets and sound/electronic systems!

Just saw this like on the pregnancy thread and it made me giggle! www.youtube.com/watch?v=RI5KyGi2Sk8

You beat me today weather wise its warm but cloudy here

poppy34 · 03/05/2008 11:16

sitting on sofa and enjoying sunshine/posts- bitofadramaqueen -good find re pjs , may order some too. On similar theme - has anyone any good tips for tankini type swimsuits that dont drift up your tummy too much - seems to me that all my clothes seem to have a fatal attraction to dip down and give me builders bum/drift up to make me look like a fat britney spears and it is not a good look.

Bow to neenz sexdrive - the will is there but not so practical...

Am now considering the birthing pool -inspired by this thread , NCT - and as for dh sieving ,that should be the least of his worries (actually we discussed this at NCT yesterday and teacher was quite reassuring about midwives haveing seen it before - she also made a good point that better to have to sieve it out than to sit in it..)
on that lovely note, off to summon energy to do some food shopping.

Hope everyone enjoying the weekend

josey · 03/05/2008 11:54

oh god paro seen it all now lol!!

So im freaking myself out today-got my hospital visit, ok Im planning a homebirth but thought to be on the safe side I really need to know where im going if things go wrong. Anyhoo DH still away so Mum was going to come with me but she is now in bed with flu, so going to brave it by myself, only I can no longer get my wedding rings on. Result I feel like a 14 year old thats had 2much buckie in the local park instead of married mother of almost 3

Go with number 3.....we could do with highering someone with a heavy duty strimmer to sort us all out me thinks

Rolf · 03/05/2008 12:24

I vote for no. 3 as well.

had my last hypnosis session today. It went really well. Even if it's no use in labour it'e been so relaxing and lovely - it's really helped me to enjoy this pregnancy and for that alone is worth the money.

Kind of wish I'd booked in with these indep. midwives. They said you can book in with them as late as you want but I just don't know if I am confident enough to do so.
