from sex, to ladygardens, to "can't imagine we can insert creme eggs into that one though" - my brain can't cope!

We're still having sex, though not that often. I'm the one that's not interested - DH is much more interested this time than last time too.

I keep forgetting my age. If 1980 is nearly 30 years ago, and I can remember 1980, then I'm definitely older than 30 aren't I? D&mn.

nettiehay · 02/05/2008 15:32

lol at aberdeen - yes i think that means you are over 30...

sophiewd · 02/05/2008 15:35

I remember 1980

bitofadramaqueen · 02/05/2008 15:48

How about.... 'Due June 08 - Creme egg season is over, summer is now here, so time to tidy the ladygarden before the big day'

OP posts:
dylansmumplusone · 02/05/2008 15:53

how about something relating to creme eggs hiding in the ladygardens?? or is that a bit too graphic...

LMAO Neenz! good for you for still going at it. i'm in far too much pain but we still like to otherwise dabble.

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 02/05/2008 15:59

Yes I think I went too far with the wee story - sorry guys It's just a bit that leaks out - I just can't seem to empty my bladder fully when I go to the loo and perhaps my pelvic floor needs some work...

Oh dear

systemsaddict · 02/05/2008 16:03

Loving the ladygarden titles - but I must admit I am almost equally stunned to hear that people are planning to tidy such things up as I was to hear people actually wear something in birthing pools! For me, once it's out of sight it's out of mind - am obviously complete slattern (no wonder dp won't come near me LOLOL!)

josey · 02/05/2008 16:12

OMG at the conversations today though I have to say as much as I like you lot and creme eggs im not sticking one in my lady garden for anyone!!!

On the lady garden front I remember well pushing dd out and them saying look of course the 1st thing you see when you look and your tummy has gone is????All I could think was shit what a state that bush is and I had dd at swimming lessons today which I go in the pool so I was trying to tidy spider legs which have sprouted to Nottingham forrest

Id love to get to grips with my DH cant wait till he gets home and he certainly wont be complaining.

Neeze sounds like things might be starting off, pineapple curry and another sesh with DH tonight, make the most of it cause gawd knows when you will be fit again with twins to look after.

Also not sure if I should be worried DD has started trying to lick my boobs I only breastfed her for a couple of months so not sure where the attraction has come from, do you think she just remembers the smell or something?

alipalli · 02/05/2008 16:17

A great title.

A couple of days away from the thread, so has taken me about 2 hours to catch up. Lots of your posts have made LOL - burning bathroom doors especially.

Neenz - ditto everyone else's comments. V. exciting news and good luck over the weekend

Since I last posted:

Tues: NCT in the morning. Work pm. Most random bit of the day was waddling down to HMV at 9am at DH's request to buy him a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV (on the morning of its release). Needless to say I was the only person buying GTA, who wasn't male and geeky, and obviously the only person 8 months pregnant buying a violent shooter video game.

Weds: Finished work! Hurray, Hurray! A long day though, starting with a trip to Tescos at 6.55am to buy cakes for the colleagues, and finishing at 9.30pm with the end of another NCT class. Lots of nice presents from work and LOTS of flowers.

Thurs: First day of freedom. So chose to clean up the kitchen which was tiled on Monday, then shopped for random pg/hospital things. Agree with others about nursing nighties coming in impractical shades of white and pink. I have ordered these black bottoms and the white top. Bottoms feel great, but top currently fails to cover all of my bump. However as I am planning not to wear this until afterwards it should just about do the trick. A bit expensive IMO, in fact the same price as the bundle of maternity clothers I bought on ebay and have been living in since Jan! Oh and my birthing ball arrived yesterday, which I am now merrily bouncing on as I type.

Fri: All the nursery furniture arrived. Haven't unwrapped it yet because its heavy and because it would be nice to do it with DH. From what I can see though it looks lovely.

New medical complaint of the week: "shopping feet" even when I have just got out of bed in the morning it feels as though I have spent the previous 3 hours wandering round Ikea

josey · 02/05/2008 16:18

Meant to say Ernest - sorry didnt go to well with the doc, on the sterilization, I read that it was sometimes better to have soon after a birth as the tubes were higher. Risks of pregnancy are way way higher than men getting it done. Female was 200-1 and men are 2000-1, so im using those stats on my DH

splodgesmum · 02/05/2008 16:25

Hurrah! I've finished work! Left my desk empty - lots of goodbyes and off I went.

Home to find my 'lovefilm' DVDs had arrived so now planning to curl up on the sofa with the cat and watch Atonement.

Title including creme eggs, Due June 08 - bags packed, lady gardens tidied, creme eggs consumed . . we're ready to go!

alipalli · 02/05/2008 16:31

If only we were ready to go (I'm not)!

splodgesmum · 02/05/2008 16:33

allipalli, we haven't started the new thread yet though - you still have over 60 posts in which time to get ready!

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 02/05/2008 16:46

Check out my bump PIC on my profile - it's a good job these babies are on their way!!

goingfor3 · 02/05/2008 16:50

Lovely bump Neenz! Still laughing about the pee!!!

mellymell · 02/05/2008 16:53

Neenz - still impressed you are doing 'it', especially with twins on the way. I can't remember the last time it was so long ago and don't feel particualrly alluring now.

debinaustria · 02/05/2008 17:07

You lot have made me laugh so much

Dh wants to know where you've got your sex drive from so that he can buy some for me He's trying to make the most of it before these boobs start squirting milk at him in the act!!

Neenz - your bump looks great, and the rest of you still looks so slim.

debinaustria · 02/05/2008 17:08

Oh, and 1980 - I was 12

josey · 02/05/2008 17:09

wow ace bump!!!

Ok so I have just found a block of cheese in the sink was it me I have no idea could it have been dd playing a trick on me,wishful thinking I think!!!

debinaustria · 02/05/2008 17:11

I don't think you can blame that on anyone else Josey!!

splodgesmum · 02/05/2008 17:17

Neenz, no wonder you're still able to have sex when you're looking so bloody neat! I think my bum is as big as my bump (maybe I am having twins but they're just growing in two different places!! ) so it's just bloody impossible whichever position we try!

bitofadramaqueen · 02/05/2008 17:25

Sex - what's that? I know I must have had it once, otherwise I wouldn't be in this state .

Have to say I've lost inclination at the mo but I dont think DH too bothered. Not surprised given my spreading ass and thighs (and ankles and feet!). Haven't got stretch marks anywhere yet apart from my thighs. I cant wait for the baby to come so I can push the pram on some long walks!

josey - was it banned or allowed cheese?

I just went downstairs into the kitchen and found the fridge door wide open. Clearly left it like that at lunchtime. I think cheese in the sink is worse though.

OP posts:
josey · 02/05/2008 17:57

it is allowed cheese and it was in a tupperware tub so maybe i just thought i was washing up or something, the sink was empty!!

I have to say Im much more barral than bump, maybe dh can cut me in 2 and plant flowers in me

bitofadramaqueen · 02/05/2008 17:59

found some dark nursing pj's here if anyone is looking. Have just ordered some so will let you know what they're like when they arrive.

At least the cheese not wasted josey!
