Enjoy the Deer Park Dizzy. DD was taken by her grandparents a while back and LOVED it. We're planning on taking her again to see what the fuss is about. Do let me know!

Nice to see all the photos. I ate a burger and chocolate cake for tea. Yum. I feel like I look very pregnant now. Dinner tonight I am sure will have helped this new shape.

Off to bed now ... nearly 10pm our time, and baby longwayfromhome seems to have just woken up and is kicking away after having dozed through the burger earlier on ...

TwilightSurfer · 11/04/2008 03:00

Longway I think BabyTwilight got BabyLongway's memo and is kicking the laptop as I type.

Awesome pics Captain and Sazzle. Sazzle the foot shot is great.

The big jeans I bought two weeks ago are suddenly tight. One of these days I'm going to have to get a pair from the maternity department.

Hope everyone's Friday starts out well.

Night!

oopsacoconut · 11/04/2008 07:54

Morning All

Just have to brag:---

I HAVE A BOX OF KK - 12 yummy scrummy mixed varieties mmmmmmmmmm

Delivered fresh from London to sunny wiltshire by one of DH's clients on a early morning call. I might have to kiss him!

CaptainCaveman · 11/04/2008 08:59

Very jealous of your KKs oopsacoconut . Tesco lemon cheesecake is just not hitting the spot like it did a few weeks ago!

Ds very kindly woke me up at 6am - I think it must be because Friday is always my day off! He must have programmed himself to wake early.
At least the wind pain has now gone

What is everyone up to today? We're off to meet friends at a play place (after the mountain of ironing has been demolished)

libbyssister · 11/04/2008 09:11

Morning.

After work tonight I'm off to Buxton for a hen weekend. I'm reserving judgement on how I feel about it. Not v. keen but hen is one of my best and oldest friends and so I hope pull out the smiles. Really though, I just want to go home and spend the weekend with my boys

Buckets - I used to live near Bognor. Took my swimming lessons in the Butlins pool. This was 30 years ago so I can remember nothing about it really! but I hope you have a good time.

TS - I was having a fat day yesterday. All my seams felt tight and my bra was cutting in and I just wanted to get home and take it all off. Have let out the waistband of my trousers and it feels a bit better now...

of your KK delivery, OoopsC!

alittlebitshy · 11/04/2008 10:35

All this talk of KK. I should be going to Bluewater tomorrow, so I may get my fix!!!!!!

LOW lots of hugs.

Yesterday wa smeant to be a nice relaxing day. Dh took dd to Hampton Court, my mum and I were heaidng inot london to mooch. We got as far as JOhn Lewis for lunch when I started feleing dizzy and genally rough. Lots of tummy grips (not baby related i think/hope) so ened up coming home to bed and just making it home before i threw up ig time. Today was planned as zoo day. But they've all gone without me cos Dh says I need to rest. Just feel poorly. IS not just morning sickness though. My tummy all grumbly and windy though the wind was deffo trapped yest (leading me to worry it was something sinister rathet than wind). Today I still feel achey in the tum, and sick. Going bck to bed for a big then will veg in front of tvfor a bit Had forgotten how crap I felt at the start of the pg when m/s was even worse than it is now
Please reassure me that if it was braxon hicks or baby problesm i'd know....

Also got a niggle in one place in side of tummy again. that may be baby related???!!!

Sorry to be so me me me. Will be more sociable later.

cyteen · 11/04/2008 12:19

Hi all, not been around for a few days but am now 'on holiday' housesitting for the inlaws while they're sunning themselves in Lanzarote so have plenty of free time to catch up.

albs hope you feel better soon

TS glad your little girl seems to be on the mend

birthdaybaby welcome and congratulations! I'm a first timer too and this place has been great for me

Have been having a nice few days; I went to see my friend's play on Tuesday night which was very funny, and also got to catch up with her and some other friends which was really great. Did loads of walking around on Wednesday and totally knackered myself out so DP made a big fuss of me at home, made dinner and told me to put my feet up - bless him Then we came down to the inlaws' place yesterday for some cosy home comforts...I love their house so much, with its cable tv and its proper power shower. Lots of dossing about on the horizon, and just spending time together

My mini-squid certainly seems active lately! It was kicking up a storm this morning, although had obviously stopped by the time DP came back upstairs with cups of tea. I'm used to the feeling now and really love feeling it move about in there.

TwilightSurfer · 11/04/2008 12:43

come on then, own up...who's lost the pain they were having in their bum muscles? because i've found it and i'd like to return it to the rightful owner as soon as possible

cyteen · 11/04/2008 15:13

Sorry miamla, I've got more than enough to share

TwilightSurfer · 11/04/2008 15:18

It's not mine Miamla....mine's still with me

libbyssister · 11/04/2008 15:29

Yeah, my right cheek still hurts to sit on it too! S'not mine!

cheerfulvicky · 11/04/2008 19:01

Yep, I'm still in back/bum pain too though it comes and goes...

..is jealous of the Krispy Kremes. I have to admit I've never had one, so perhaps I should remain blissfully ignorant? When I used to live in London, they had a lot of shops and they looked AMAZING. [drools]

dizzydixies · 11/04/2008 19:14

evening all!

sazzles great pics - enjoy weekend with inlaws

albs are you feeling any better this evening? have you managed to eat anything?

libbysister have just turned down invite to henny at end of april and its only one night in Glasgow so don't envy you - I do hope it turns into one of those weekends where you have a fab time even though you've dreaded going

poppysocks deer park was fine, we were only there for a couple of hours, I did too much again this morning after getting up at 6am with the girls. we walked quite a lot and girls all had a good play - was £32 for us to get in though

made dinner for friends and the kids and have eaten too much and overdone it so am going to have a VERY early night - dh working nights starting at 9pm so I'll be in bed after he goes and up with the girls again all week due to shifts - could really do with a lie in!!

had midwife this morning, bp, heartbeat etc fine - she wasn't very pleasant, not nasty just couldn't wait to get me out quick enough, I suppose when its your third you're supposed to know what you're doing?!? she's not going to see me again until am 32 wks either didn't examine my stomach as doesn't want to aggrivate the 'seperation' incase I started bleeding again and told me to not even bother considering vbac - you can imagine I felt wonderful after coming away from her

anyway, fingers crossed for a sunny weekend for everyone

VintageGardenia · 11/04/2008 20:02

Hi everyone, haven't been round much as just really busy, the thread develops at such a rate that by the time I log in so much seems to have happened in my absence!

dizzy sleep tight!

LoW have you had a proper chat with your DH and got things straightened out? Hope he is not being an arse and you are feeling better.

ALBS sorry you're not well. I don't have experience of Braxton Hicks but I did have quite a crampy stomach last week and when I mentioned to doc at visit on Wed he said it seemed more dramatic than it really was, and that it was most likely an effect of the ligaments round the tummy / under the bump loosening up. I'd second whoever said give the midwife a buzz if you have concerns, it can't hurt, she won't mind and you might feel easier.

cyteen sounds like you're having a lovely time at the moment! Long may it last.

birthdaybaby you are most welcome.

My bump's got massive now, even people I don't know are acknowledging me as pregnant, and it's maternity clothes all the way now. I finally figured out my Isabella Oliver top, all that blardy winding around, and you have to tie it in the right place or you look as if someone's giftwrapped a bouncy castle. The top that DP got me for my birthday (a lovely maternity one) is a size 10. Not sure whether to be chuffed that he actually thinks I could be a size 10 or annoyed he doesn't pay more attention to my actual body! Will be exchanging it for a size thousand over weekend.

Back ache has eased, cramping / wind pain easing, all looking much lovelier and livelier at the moment. Plus a good work-related thing has happened (it's too specific to bore you with) but it basically means effort I have put in over the last year or so is being recognised, and it's come at a good time, just as I was starting to think that going awol to have a baby would mean I started dropping off people's radars. Has anyone else had similar concerns about work & giving up for the maternity period? I was v. relieved when this happened today.

alittlebitshy · 11/04/2008 20:49

dizzy hoping you get your early night.
Vintage lol at your dh's missizing. V flattering but blardy annoying!

I think my pains are prob just cramps/wind. From what I gather braxton hicks would be tightenings rather than pains, and these are deffo a feeling rather than a sensation if that makes sense. Is mainly round top of my (quite high) bump - so prob where my stomach is squished, so probably totally normal. {tries desperately to reassure self].Will see how i go over the weekend and if still feeling odd will call midwife on Monday.
Managed to eat - but feel sicky. Nearly as bad as i did with the m/s earlier on. I hadn't realised how it had eased off (it was deffo still there but a bit more bearable) til it came back.

Meant to be meting friend at Bluewater tomorrow but not sure I feel up to it. Will see how I feel in the morning.

Hoping Low has had chat with dh.

dizzydixies · 11/04/2008 20:52

VG made a stew from my Avoca cook book yesterday nice, very nice but not the same as being there in person lol

am massive too but midwife measured me and says am only just above measurement for being 24wks - must all just spread out to the sides when I lie down

glad things have worked out for you at your actual work, I am just looking forward to getting away from my place now and will put all my efforts into finding something new whilst off - its a good steady interesting job but bloody hell its soul destroying after 8 odd years

dh away to work so am off to bed now dishes are done/washing machine and dishwasher off - rock n roll friday night for me

dizzydixies · 11/04/2008 20:53

ALBS are you feeling any better?

alittlebitshy · 11/04/2008 20:55

Not sure if feleing any better.
The sicky feleing and the worry about my tummy ache makes me feel extra crap...
