dizzydixies · 27/03/2008 21:22

may I be the first to compliment you on a job well done cc and TS

especially as its me that's the main clutter on most of them

CaptainCaveman · 27/03/2008 21:23

Hi Cyteen - you're just down the road from me, I'm in NOttingham. Congrats on your pg btw!

DS just gone to sleep. Been food shopping tonight and bought some lurverly carte dor ice cream....yummmmm.

Feeling hugely pregnant today. Also got a couple of sharp pains between the top of my belly button and below my rib cage. I figured its my muscles separating there! Can also feel baby's head/arse sticking up on my right hand side, above the level of my belly button (ds did this too).

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 27/03/2008 21:24

Ah dizzy, all I did was create a new thread, TS must take the credit for the hard work. However, you can reward me with a donut if you like?

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 27/03/2008 21:25

yes but you can up with the title all on your own!!! I don't have any donuts but DO have orange ice lollies yumyum

HazieAndBaby · 27/03/2008 21:38

Was trying to catch up with all the posts and ended up missing 2 pages for some reason!! Hi to cyteen and lucamom! And yay on the new thread title!!!

I'm good dizzy, how are things with you?

Karney, I get a stitch whenever I sneeze or stand up too quickly! The girls in my office laugh at me as neither activity is that strenuous ? until you?re pregnant! Sometime I feel 80 though, not pregnant!

I just noticed the thing about the Spanx as well. I get stage fright when I try to go to the loo in mine! Even though there?s that little flap thing I can?t get my head around being able to pee without taking them off (sorry if TMI!), so I usually end up taking 15mins in the loos getting undressed and redressed! They are good though. And whoever mentioned that their bra was cutting them in half? mine is too (sorry, I forgot who mentioned it, I get cross-eyed on this thing!) Currently waiting on some very sexy maternity bras being delivered which are soft cup so hoping that they will help.

PMSL at Shazza getting all her workmates fat! I?ve been doing the same to mine, going for a cup of tea (decaf obviously!) and having a biscuit every ½ hour or so and no-one can resist when you offer!

VintageGardenia · 27/03/2008 21:39

Yay well done lassies.

to hear others have same jeans problems. What a pain, I hate seeing people hauling up their knickers all the time and now I'll be at it myself in the supermarket, in the park, in the queue for the photocopier, and everyone will think am vile type when reality not further from truth SOB.

Oh well...

I would murder an orange ice lolly, have only a cup of Earl Grey and a small (purloined) slab of Easter egg to console self with but ice lollies so REFRESHING!

Feeling hugely preg too. Bought Birth and Beyond by Yehudi Gordon, was recommended. Is massive, was 29 euro so better be blimmin enlightening.

HazieAndBaby · 27/03/2008 21:40

Oh and speaking of ice lollies, DH bought me a box of Twisters!! I'm so lucky!!

VintageGardenia · 27/03/2008 21:40

Oh pmsl at the Spanx flap!

Though you wouldn't WANT to be pysl if wearing same.

Oh roffling!!!

VintageGardenia · 27/03/2008 21:45

Reduced to thirteen pounds oh yes I got a great deal on this

cyteen · 27/03/2008 22:09

Cheers CaptainCaveman Right back at ya! How's life in Nottingham - I'm sure you spend your days dodging gun-toting crims and drug pushers (the media is always honest and accurate, right?) Leicester is pretty much the blandest place on earth, but kind of nice for all that.

I'm not feeling too massive yet, but have noticed that when I stand up from the sofa I sort of push off from my thighs with both hands instead of just hauling myself upright the old-fashioned way. Can't get out of a chair without vocal assistance, but then I never could.

must - stop - eating - cookies

I need to go to sleep but can't so HERE I AM.

I have the same problem lately with my pants always wanting to fall down. I plan to purchase this or these with my next bit of allowance (I blew all my extra coin on that bathing suit last night on ebay). It's been driving me crazy that I found a great pair of jeans but can't keep the things on. It's not like I don't have a belly out to...well out there.

Captain sounds like you've got the funny pains I had three weeks ago when I thought I pulled something during yoga. Weird aren't they. Nice new thread too!!

Sazzle I'll upload a family pic this weekend that includes my head but like Dizzy I'm usually the one holding the camera.

Shazza, I got caught up in updating the MN list and forgot to email you. Yes, I got the payment. Isn't paypal sooooo cool. Still no idea where the blanket is. The courier they used doesn't keep their tracking info current. I will let you know as soon as it's delivered.

DD has class pictures in the morning so alarm is set early so I can get her showered and dressed so she'll look like a proper child. WISH ME LUCK!

CaptainCaveman · 28/03/2008 08:14

Welcome too to Lucamom - sorry I didn't say hello yesterday! congrats too on your pg

Cyteen - I heard on the radio the other day that London has about 46% of all gun crime, with Birmingham 2nd, so Nottingham are getting a little lazy with their shooters. Apparently, we are now the burglary capital of England. Yay, what an achievement for our lovely City . Perhaps the crims are too busy nicking stuff to shoot at each other? Hey ho.

Enormous pg belly from yesterday is a little smaller today - I think its because I wore a dress yesterday so my entire abdomen was 'unfettered'. Usually have trousers to 'hold it in' somewhat!

What are these Spanx of which you speak?? And a Spanx flap??? Are we getting back to pg porno on this thread

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 28/03/2008 08:16

OOOOH TS what glamour. LOL, I read the first link as INVINCIBLE maternity suspenders

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 28/03/2008 08:31

LOL I need invincible suspenders!

Re. Spanx, we've been looking at these, but re. the flap thing see what Hazie says!

IlanaK · 28/03/2008 08:35

Hi all, I am glad I found the new thread!

When the list is next updated (thanks TS!), my next appointment date has disappeared. I am having a scan next thursday. I had the anomoly scan already but they couldn't see one thing so I have to go back.

I am feeling hugely pregnant too. I have back and sciatic nerve problems when pregnant and am finding walking anywhere difficult. Although I am very overweight, when not pregnant I can walk for hours so I am finding this very hard. With two young boys, and living in central London, walking is a necessity and I am feeling about 105! Very depressing when you consider that I am only 22 weeks pg!

Hope everyone is well.

dizzydixies · 28/03/2008 09:25

IlanaK am right there with you with the baby 3 and feeling 100yrs pg on top of being overweight

tis pouring from the heavens today and DD1 decided to get up at the crack of dawn with dh for early shift - needless to say was not best pleased! He's started on a new shift today and it sounds awful, half of them are suspended for one thing and another and he's walked right into the middle of a sh*te storm - his desc not mine!!

sazzlesA it means when you click on my user name you should be able to see my photos, I think anyone can see my profile but only certain people can see my photos - well at least I think thats how it works lol

right ladies, was only signing on to see if Confused&lonely had been on - anyone know anything that I maybe missed during my marathon MN session yesterday? Have to get my college assignment done today so will no doubt be dipping in and out.

Buckets · 28/03/2008 10:53

Hi all
I too am not quite big enough for my maternity trousers, have taken to folding the top over on one pair, so they sit on my hips better (long maternity top needed to cover bump, natch.) I think there is a fundamental flaw with under-the-bump trousers that way, what are they supposed to cling/hang on to if your hips have melted into a creme egg shape with the bump?
I actually saw my baby boy move this morning in bed, was having some real wellie-wanging kicks to the front so I lifted up my nightie and there was actually a show to watch!
On the subject of food, have just set my new breadmaker to make cinnamon raisin bread, will share a few virtual slices when it's done.

IlanaK · 28/03/2008 11:00

Yummmmm......cinnamon raisin bread sounds so good right now. reserve a slice for me please!

Although I feel quite strong kicks, my extra layers of blubber prevent me from seeing them. I know my husband and kids can't wait for when they can feel the kicks from the outside, but it takes longer for those of us with extra fat!

cyteen · 28/03/2008 11:15

Very of all of you who can feel/see movement...I can't feel anything, even though I know it's leaping about in there like nobody's business (yesterday it kicked the doppler machine every time the midwife found its heartbeat).

Buckets · 28/03/2008 11:24

Yes I've heard they don't like Dopplers, the energy pulse might be uncomfortable for them or something. Another reason why it's not good to buy your own (apart from being able to obsess yourselve grey-haired.)

cyteen · 28/03/2008 11:42

Hehe, yeah, I haven't got a home doppler - don't need the extra worry of not being able to find a heartbeat.

I suspect the reason my baby was kicking the doppler was that it's going to be as much of a bloody nightmare "NO NO NO NO NO" type child as I was. I told my dad about what it had been doing and he laughed for about ten minutes straight...grandparent's revenge or what!

longwayfromhome · 28/03/2008 11:55

My undone trousers with belt to keep them up strategy has failed this morning as now the belt won't do up. Hum.

I don't know if anyone has seen on the news about the farmer's strike that we have here at the moment? Supermarkets are mostly out of meat and milk and so my MIL has started to worry about the baby. (I have put on 4.3kg so far and so I don't think that we need to worry just yet ...)

DH said that the baby was doing some demonstrating of its own this morning as it was kicking away like mad until I gave in and undid my belt ...

cyteen · 28/03/2008 15:44

Bought my first piece of maternity wear - a pair of jeans. I shall report back on whether they stay up or not once I've worn them in. They need taking up at the bottom, because of course no one makes trousers for the 5'3" woman do they, but I can't be arsed right now.

Also got measured for a bra and am disappointed to see that I can just about fill a D cup - they've hardly changed at all Still need a bra though as am stuck wearing my horrible grey sports bra, so I'm going to have a look on figleaves.

Feel like someone's been beating me with a stick. Leicester town centre is hell.

dizzydixies · 28/03/2008 16:19

still no confused&lonely
anyone know her in RL?
