better post so then i have it in the 'threads i am on bit'

good luck merryberry xxxxxxx sending labour vibes xxxxxx

not that i seem very good at going into labour myself

merryberry · 11/03/2008 19:27

Oh ta turtle. Just checking phone posts now...

Jaysthird · 11/03/2008 20:45

Merry - very very very good luck with everything and anything that happens between now and you getting your baby! I am right behind you on the induction front, mines in for Thursday so rs to go into labor...i have approx 36 hours till D-Day, i cant see it happening.

Yours and mine end of pregnancy stories are so similar its crazy. Heres hoping all goes smoothly for you {{{{hugs and vibes}}}}

JFly · 11/03/2008 21:56

Good luck MB! Here's hoping labour beats induction to the post.

Possible sweep option tomorrow if MW exams and thinks it's a go. Hope it's favourable - had some bone fide Cramping with a capital "C" wake me up last night and thought "woo hoo!" only for it to disappear in the morning. Reflex this afternoon and hope DH will indulge in three minutes in paradise tonight. Seemed to work last night, anyway!

HQ so very sorry about your DH's nan. My Grandma is 97 and even at that age I know I will be devastated when she goes. I hope that the universe gets the message and she and your LO meet in person, or at the very least in spirit. Take care of yourself.

tori32 · 11/03/2008 23:16

HQ really sorry to hear about DH's nan. Really unfair.{{hugs}}

MOBTK really sorry about your extension being rejected, its a real PITA for you and I know how much you had your heart set on it. Can't believe they are saying you would need to go to Poole with a BP of 120/? but still not really high compared to your normal for you. Sending lots of relaxation vibes and lemon meringue pie

Come on MB crack on with delivery and put us out of our misery we have waited long enough!!

Good luck to all booked for induction and the sooty and sweep shows. I am having a couple of BH at last

merryberry · 12/03/2008 08:06

Will beat march mum text bud to this. Cant wait to tell. George Linden born 0203 12.3.8 at home in water. Now at uch for
Check up following brilliantly managed shoulder distocia. Because...sit down, breathe, cross your legs. He weighs 11lb 11oz. 4 hour labour, totally in water and half can gas and air. Water just amazing.

turtle23 · 12/03/2008 08:13

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Merry...know I've only met you briefly, but have to tell you how VERY proud of you I am!! Not only did you survive the longest pre-labour ever, but you managed to stay home and get what you wanted despite giving birth to a 6 month old baby!! Hurrah! (oops, just woken up DH with my whooping)

Merrrrrry Merrrry Merrrry!!!!!! WOWWWWEEE

huge congratulations on the birth of George!!! and when i say huge i mean it! Well done you, you beat the induction master!

Its so strange, we have had such similar end of pregnancy tales, what with all the stopping and starting then you go and have EXACTLY the same birth as i had with DS he was only 11lb 2 though - but i had him in water and he had shoulder dystocia!! -

Hope you get some rest today my love - and welcome to the world big man! xx

Jaysthird · 12/03/2008 08:41

congrats Merry. Would never had expected it too happen that quickly after all that buggering about beforehand!

JFly · 12/03/2008 09:41

Oh my dear sweet jesus, MB! You definitely get the gold medal, no, make that platinum!

No wonder he didn't want to come out - he was happily tucked up inside stuffing his face!

Well done to you - what a great birth experience. Another water baby giving me hope!

Welcome "little" George!

CricketsMum · 12/03/2008 09:47

Merry - Congratulations - fantastic news!! And good on him for putting in an appearance at the 11th hour!

You are an inspiration - 11lb 11 and only gas and air?!

MarsLady · 12/03/2008 09:51

Well done Merry! See... it's the fear of induction... flies them out! Well done.

CricketsMum · 12/03/2008 09:52

PS - Surely this must be the start of a veritable avalanche of babies?? MMH, JFly, JayneF, FN41, Jaysthird and everyone else that is overdue... c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!!!!

CricketsMum · 12/03/2008 09:53

PPS - oh, and you Turtle, even though you're not overdue yet, you deserve to go early after how many weeks of late-pg hell??

preggersagain · 12/03/2008 09:57
