After a bit of cajoling from some friends (some of whom I hope can join me here soon), I decided to take the plunge and start this thread.

Anyway, I have just found out I am pregnant again, got a BFP on Saturday 23rd at 12dpo, which gives me an EDD of 3rd November 2008 (or the 4th, depending on which calculator I use). This is my 4th pregnancy and will be my 3rd child. I am super excited and a little scared & nervous after a previous missed miscarriage.

I hope I don't get too lonely waiting for more BFP's to roll in! Please come and join me.

Morning All, and a big HELLO to all newcomers...

Hope everyone had a good and safe weekend?

I have absolutely convinced myself that nothing is going on in my tummy. Scan is a week on Wednesday and I am worrying myself sick.

We have told my mum and step dad, my sister and her boyfriend and my best friend. No one else until after the scan.

Tinkerisdead · 17/03/2008 09:13

we've told mums and my best friend and thats it. I needed at least someone to talk to in real life. wish there was a window in your tummy like a telly tubby TV set so i could peek inside and check all is well. Cant wait to get a scan date, cant reassure you Pinkali as I think we're all worried until we can get our scans. My DH said to me what can you do to help it? Nothing! but worrying etc isnt helping it, relax and think good healthy thoughts and it'll be fine in there. Men think its so easy.

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 09:17

I agree with you , it's so strange how all our own natural worries (which we think we are alone in thinking) are repeated time after time on these threads. True- Keep positive. Happy mummy happy PEA. lol

Roca · 17/03/2008 09:36

Morning! For anyone experiencing a little of what I am (worrying now that runny tum is a bug that's gonna affect pg) this should reassure a bit....

"Loose stools in pregnancy can symbolize different things at different times. During early pregnancy, it can be a sign you are pregnant, as your uterus starts to grow and pushes out the waste. "

Here's to hopin it's a sign I'm pregnant!

5 weeks today, curently on track. Think I will go see DR next week and try to get an early scan about 7wks.

Here's to trying to tidy the house before the kids mess it all up again today, and taking my mind off worrying about little pea.

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 09:43

OOH Poor Roca with Runny Tum Not very nice. . . . I had the opposite initially and my tummy was acting very strange indeed. Now all seems normal. In fact if my boobs hadn't popped out of my bra over the weekend I really wouldn't think i was pregnant at all. I find it all so hard to believe. Wonderful but still can't believe it. Started to look at pregnancy books at weekend after having them hidden away in the cupboard scared that it would jinx things. Blimey for an intelligent woman, I really can be stupid at times!

p.s. normally 34 b/c bought 34 d at weekend, going out today to buy 36 c as back seems to have grown and it feels awful. Also have been told don't need underwired.. yikes they could pop out at any time.

Tinkerisdead · 17/03/2008 10:09

I had new bras fitted this weekend as my bras were digging in, in a 36DD. Its heaven to have a decent bra to take the weight off! jeans are all tight from bloating and new bras needed. I felt a bit of a fraud out shopping. didnt want to get any new trousers as feel like im jumping the gun but now ive got one pair of stretch jeans that fit. I just feel in limbo but so excited and worried at the same time in equal levels.

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 10:20

I know, I am exactly the same. Sometimes I let myself go and actually discuss nurseries etc with DH but then I suddenly feel guilty. I just need to see it on a scan.

Purlease · 17/03/2008 12:52

meeting my sister at the weekend and feel I may have to tell her as we are going out Saturday night so lack of drinking will look suspicious. DH is very anti telling anyone at this stage.

Still haven't made doctors appointment to arrange booking in appointment and scan - still not quite believing it. Feel completely normal - no signs that I'm pregnant except for no period, and a blue line on the test - I supppose they are strong enough indicators .

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 13:01

Purlease, how far do you think you are?

Purlease · 17/03/2008 13:03

about 6 weeks.

Purlease · 17/03/2008 13:07

My sister recently miscarried at about 8 weeks so I wouldn't want to be worrying her - it's enough for me to be worrying!
Because of her experience and my age(38), I'm trying not to get too excited. I have recently in the car on my own been driving along rubbing my tummy saying "hang on in there".

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 13:11

I too am 6 weeks on Wednesday. I don't feel pregnant either so don't worry. Although I have convinced myself that somethings wrong. My boobs have grown but that is it. Strange to think that all sorts are occuring in my tummy.

From someone who has mc (me) and whose sister is also pregnant and didn't want to tell me as she was upset for me I can assure you I was far more upset that she put off telling me. Tell your sister after all she will be upset no matter when you tell her but will also be so pleased for you. I finally got my head round my sister having a baby and that I was going to be an auntie that i relaxed and wallah I am also pregnant but 8 weeks behind my sister.

Purlease · 17/03/2008 13:15

not worried about not feeling pregnant - didn't with DD either and only really believed it when I saw scan. Thanks for advice on sister - that is so nice for both of you to be going through pregnancy together.

Creena · 17/03/2008 13:28

God, I'm ravenous today. I've just had a ham and tomato sandwich for lunch, followed by a weight watchers yogurt and it nowhere near plugged the hole in my stomach! I'm now literally ramming a hot cross bun in my mouth - I haven't even taken the time to split it ot butter it ir toast it. I'm just ramming it in there as it comes....

dozymare · 17/03/2008 13:29

Afternoon ladies - glad we are all thinking positive (even if we are all worrying, I know I am!) BUT positive vibes all around!!

Still not heard re; Dating scan and so funny about boobs getting bigger mine sit very nicely in my bra at the start of the day but by the end my cup floweth!! (Look slike I have 2 boobies!) Didn't get this with either DS so hoping it is all those FEMALE hormones from my PEA DD (positive thinking that it is!!!) Anyone got any ideas for lunch?>?>

Creena · 17/03/2008 13:30

please excuse my inability to type the word 'or' in the above post - can't type when shoving hot cross buns down my gullet.

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 13:34

Afternoon All,

I've had a tuna sandwich, muligitorney (really have no idea how to spell it), a youghurt, i also bought some Choc Fudge square things from M&S for staff at office (But i had to try one to ensure no one woudl be poisoned) and I also have another for me this afternoon.

Yesterday I made homemade pizza and scoffed the lot!!

dozymare · 17/03/2008 13:37

just put some pasta on! What is it with Carbs??!! I rarely eat them but can' tget enough at the moment!!! Also want chocolate...shall I open one of the kids easter egss

Tinkerisdead · 17/03/2008 13:53

Ive had tomato soup and it tasted of water. Wish I could get excited about food but just not interested and literally forcing myself to eat something. Have had a cereal bar, two glasses of juice some soup and a bread roll so far. Nothing is satisfying. My mate text to say she bought me an easter egg and I thought bleughhhhhh ha ha what an ungrateful cow I am! Dozymare i should send it to you!
My Lesley Regan book arrived this morning so i think i'll sit and read that this afternoon although im meant to be ironing!Looks really good so thanks to all for the recommendation.

AliciaJohns · 17/03/2008 14:03

just had a banana that tasted of wool. seriously. this is rubbish!!

btw, when have you all got your booking appointments? I am over 7 weeks now and thought they would have at least contacted me by now. Can't remember when I had it last time. Might give the surgery a ring this afternoon.

AliciaJohns · 17/03/2008 14:04

i think i could force down an easter egg though. send it this way please docs wife!

Purlease · 17/03/2008 14:20

Just had Irish Stew and colcannon - to mark St. Patricks day. Very nice.

Pinkali37 · 17/03/2008 14:23

I still love food and haven't any feelings of ms... is this normal fo being 5 weeks 5 days???

lackaDAISYcal · 17/03/2008 14:28

just a quick hi from me and welcome to the newbies and congratulations

feeling many more symptoms this week and am existing in a state of constant queasiness. went shopping and bought a chicken to roast, but i made dh put it back when we were at the checkouts as the thought of it was making me sick. this happened with dd and i couldn't eat meat until i was well past 20 weeks. weird the things your body makes you do.

I'm lolling at sniffing the fresh washing though.

My tastebuds are also a bit dead, everything tastes like cardboard, except chocolate, which tastes yummy

Tinkerisdead · 17/03/2008 14:37

he he yeah the washing smells fab, i keep sucking in great big gulps like drinking in the smell. its so weird. cotton is the best like a pillow case or DH T'shirts. They seem to hold the smell in better. my DH changed his top before we went out at the weekend and i didnt notice, we were driving along and i was sniffing his sleeves saying this is clean on isnt it? it smells great let me smell it, the poor sod was yelling let me drive let me drive!
