Oh don't worry about weight gain we are all growing little people and to do that we have to eat what we want, the only time not to feel guilty about the two creme eggs (or is that me?) plenty of time once the baby is born to get the weight off.

MW appt was fine, DD3 size she should be and all is apparently fine, got a prescription for Gaviscon and she has asked me to please phone the physio about some treatment for the pelvic pain and told me to take it easy and rest when I can (did she not see the 3 and 2yo I had with me?) Anyway short and sweet come back at 28 weeks.

OP posts:
Kaz1967 · 18/03/2008 21:52

I have mild indigestion when I go to bed sometimes but had it all day today and forgot to take the gaviscon to college. Think Bump is effecting my lungs too starting to wheeze if I walk too fast or if I climb stairs.

MINNIE1 · 18/03/2008 21:59

Hi all,
Had scan today, baby doing fine but was not in a great position to find out if it was a boy or girl!!! Had a look as baby was facing towards my back IYKWIM so its bits were from the back. Seen a bump but no tail and doc said he was'nt to sure, if baby was the other way round he would! I was so disapointed as i was dyin to know.. Just my luck...

Sweetkitty
I dont have the pelvic pain YET but one thing for sure is i am sneezing a hell of alot and just have no muscle tone there what so ever!! So ladies DO THE SQUEEZE IN AND OUT..

Hope you are all well..

MINNIE1 · 18/03/2008 22:07

Kaz1967
I get out of breath eating these days due to sinus! A glass of milk used to ease my indigestion sometimes..

shortshafe · 18/03/2008 22:23

Oh My God! I've not been on for a week and can't believe how much has happend!!
Congrats to everyone who's had scans and welcome to all newbies.

Twinkle - hope you're feeling better soon, double the hormones must really knock you about - I'm always a sobbing wreck when pregnant with just one!

I'm refusing to weigh myself - been eaing far too many sweets and chocolate, oh, and pickled onion monster munch!

I've been having loads of braxton hicks too, especially when I've done lots of walking or bending (or bedroom gymnastics!)Definately didn't get them this early last time.

shortshafe · 18/03/2008 22:26

chewy Rennie's - brill for indigestion and the only thing I can bear the taste of!

Kaz1967 · 18/03/2008 23:58

It's not just getting out of breath Min it's effecting my asthma had ti use my inhaler 3 times this week not used it for nearly a year before then

isaidno · 19/03/2008 07:29

Disneystar - is it your scan today? Good luck if it is xxx

sweetkitty · 19/03/2008 07:52

Morning all

Minnie - glad your scan went well, naughty baby hiding it's bits from you, it's determined to give you a surprise!

Not had any breathlessness yet, probably as she's lying across me right now just wait until I have a big bum under my ribs.

OP posts:
MrsHOP · 19/03/2008 10:21

morning all,

my movements seem to be really low down - especially at night...

Saw my mum last night and I think she is getting used to the fact that it's a boy - she seemed disappointed last week which made me a bit sad.

I am really eating for England at the mo - already had a massive bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes, a hot cross bun and an apple this morning... liking the idea of pickled onion monster munch actually...nice one shortshafe!

hope everyone well xxxx

NikNakF · 19/03/2008 10:26

But the indigestion from pickled onion monster munch MrsHOP!!! It's not worth it

MINNIE1 · 19/03/2008 13:03

MrsHop
Have all the movements low down and to my right side, but still feel all pushed up on my ribs! and its getting bigger...

Sweetkitty
Could'nt beleive it when i could'nt see it's bits, i just knew it would happen as i was so looking forward to finding out. Could see the bump but from the back its really 50/50.. O well will have to wait another 8 wks aghhhh

Disneystar,
Thinking of you today .. xx ..

Kaz1967
Thats a pain in the behind, would consult doc if it gets worse. Is this your 1st pg?

Mummywannabe · 19/03/2008 15:12

anyone know anything about ketones is urine? Just had 24 week check and found these, followed by lots of questions about if i'm eating enough. No protein or sugar in urine though. Looked it up and it said that these are cause when your body break down fat due to lack of carbohydrates. They didn't really say anything to me about it, should i worry?

disneystar · 19/03/2008 15:57

i have gd and always have keytones in my urine eat lots of carbohydrates with your meal eg pototoes, pasta that should do the trick eat often to make sure you blood sugar is kept at a stable level but if you are unsure ask the midwife best thing

minnie1 just had my scan today im so relieved yes my baby has a head problem i kinda knew that was going to happen so he will require surgery, but his heart is fine so far he has 2 kidneys where my boys had 1,his face is a normal shape and the fat at the back of the neck is ok they check this as charlie has ds
i got a picture too he is just so cute i felt bonded to him straight away, the consultant asked me what my decision was before the scan i told him im keeping him whatever he tells me he was good and fair and told me the truth.
i was so scared to go in there as i was alone last time with my dd i only got to 24 wks and she died due to heart failure but this ones heart is strong (i still have to an echo in 2 weeks)but all looking great so far.
im bubbling over with excitement i keep saying to myself hes going to ok i was dreading him going for open heart surgery at birth,i know he has to have an operation but i can deal with that one,im rambling like a silly person now ,told you i was excited,
i can buy things now i can plan at last.
thanks to all of you whove either e-mailed me or left lovely notes on here
i am just so happy right now i could cry !!!!

Mummywannabe · 19/03/2008 16:05

disneystar - i am so pleased for you. glad things went well. You should indeed have a shopping spree now.

Thanks for the advise as well!

pigleychez · 19/03/2008 16:05

Oh disneystar!

Im sooo happy for you!
Get shopping for baby things and spoil yourself too- You deserve it!

So glad your feeling more positive now

JODIEhavingababy · 19/03/2008 16:12

Disneystar - So pleased for you, have been thinking of you all day! Go and treat yourself now, you deserve it after the horrendous week you've had!!! (BTW How are your other DC's?)

sweetkitty · 19/03/2008 16:17

Just checking in to see if there was any news disneystar - that is great so so happy for you all, what other DC do you have and what are their ages (apart from your two DSs we know about already) sorry being nosy, large families just fascinate me, unfortunately we will be stopping at 3.

Now go and buy some lovely blue things for your special little man and something special for his Mummy too.

OP posts:
MrsHOP · 19/03/2008 17:45

aw that is brill news disneystar xxx

EEC · 19/03/2008 17:56

It's so nice to come on here and hear good news. Really pleased for you Disneystar.

It's also nice to come on and hear moans, as it makes you feel that there are others out there who understand the ups and downs.

Kaz1967 · 19/03/2008 18:37

Minnie it's my second pregnancy but I was told to expect it so not all that worried, I see the midwife next week but will speak to my GP if it gets worse.

Saw the physio today and the reason I have more severe back pain is not only getting bigger and not being able to take my normal painkillers but also because I have a 4cm divarication of the abdominal muscles so I now have a very sexy piece of tubigrip to wear

disneystar so glad your scan went well

minipinkscottish · 19/03/2008 19:34

Fab news disneysatr!! So happy for you!!

Minkus · 19/03/2008 20:21

Brilliant news Disney - agree that shopping sounds like a good idea.

Oooh we may need a new thread after the next post! Off to do that now unless someone has beaten me to it...

Minkus · 19/03/2008 20:26

new thread here my lovelies

bebejones · 19/03/2008 20:28

Brilliant news Disney!!

Can't believe how much has been going on this week on here! Have got my next scan on weds (next week!) So relieved that it is quite quick! Just hoping that all measurements are ok as people keep telling me how small I look for 21 weeks! I just think thats a nice way of saying you dont look pregnant....just fat! On the eating front, I havent stopped since saturday, it's just one big meal time 24 hours a day....well almost, obviously not eating whilst Im sleeping!!!

Can't beleive we have reached the 1000 post mark by the way!
