shortshafe · 14/02/2008 12:49

ooooh emmy, chips and cheese .

Lots of bits of Uttoxeter are lovely Jodie, sadly I'm not in a posh bit! But it's still very nice - obviously ! Sadly I've not had much chance to explore Lichfield, the bits I've seen are lovely though, especially Loafers!! What on earth is Pampered Chef? I've not heard of it before...

NikNakF · 14/02/2008 12:56

Just eaten lunch and still hungry - despite big yummy sandwiches made by DH - oh well, still have yog, fruit and crisps left...

I want chips and cheese!!!!

JODIEhavingababy · 14/02/2008 12:56

mmm Loafers!

Pampered Chef is a company that sells kitchen products, knives, choppers, chopping boards etc, lots of gadgety things that are fab! I go to peoples houses (kinda like Body shop or Anne Summers) and cook something useing my 'wares' to demonstrate, you then get to eat what I've cooked, and hopefully everyone will buy lots of things! I really enjoy doing it, I started when I was pg with DS and have been doing it for about 20 months now.

Look at www.pamperedchef.com

I'm off to find something to eat that will satisfy me, maybe cheese on toast... mmmmm You lot have made my hungry. Then I suppose it is lunch time!

gillythekid · 14/02/2008 13:03

Only just stopped constantly having food in my mouth in the last 2 weeks! Thank God the crisp craving is over, back on the avocado, toms and olives...phew!!! Had mad random vomit last night before bed, woke up at 5 and had to eat a banana due to low blood sugar and managed to avert a dreaded migraine.
Flying out to Hong Kong on the first leg of our honeymoon this evening so will be back on March 9th, by which point I'm hoping my bump will have hardened up and I might actually look pregnant instead of fat! Hope you're all well over the next few weeks and I look forward to catching up on my return. x

Minkus · 14/02/2008 13:10

Am starving too. But normal pregnant woman sized portions make me puke (like my tum can't cope or summat) so have to make do with supermodel quantities although sadly I in no shape way or form resembe a supermodel!

eg ate egg salad sarnie and teeny eeny cake for lunch and it's gonna come up again in a mo I can tell...

Minkus · 14/02/2008 13:12

Have a lovely holiday gilly, hope you can get avocado toms and olives in HK
xx

emmy6781 · 14/02/2008 13:20

happy holidays gillythekid I love Hong Kong, go to the Newton Market and eat loads of noodles for me!!

RUMPEL · 14/02/2008 13:49

Hi All,

Thanks for letting me know JODIE about PPbottom and Bealcain.

Re food. I go right off choccy when pg but last week opened a box of thorntons (form Xmas they were still wrapped!) and then had some Quality Street the next day. At forst I was protein protein but now onto carbs - I LOVE CAKE - my DD is mostly made form cake Although I am eating a lot of cheese (hate milk), tabbuleh and apples too.

had a good day yesterday and whilst DD was at nursery i finally got round to some decorating - been here since July and hardly done a thing. Painted bits of my bedroom purple and red with gold leaves on them. My bedroom is like a boudoir - DH hates it Just went a bit mad and atry on it.

I too have only put on 3lbs so far - thank goodness. Little bump but not annoying at the mo'.

Stretchmarks are mostly hereditary, although if you massage every day (olive oil is good) it increases the blood supply and elasticity/health of the skin. You are best to use vegetable oils to massage as they penetrate the top layers of the skin - most creams and mineral oils don't. I got 1 stetchmark last time - on my right boob. My Mum has none (although I have some from teenage years) eat loads of avocados too - full of Vit E so great for your skin. Lots of brazil nuts/seeds too - for your skin and baby's brain/joints/skin.

Not doing anything here for Valentines - DD had me up from 1am to 4am this morning - yawn. Have raging headaches today.

RE Water - I usually drink about 2 litres of water a day but it makes me boak during the day so end up drinking at night - mouth like an Arab's sandal - then up peeing all night [grr]

Well must go chuck DD in the bath as she missed her bath last night and her bum is reeking - giant poo!!

Take care All...xxxx

mummypig · 14/02/2008 14:22

hi can you put me on for 5 Jul? I have ds 5y and ds2 3y, and I'm in Surrey.

This Valentine's day was spent looking after a friend's kids so she could go to the doctor, looking after ds1 who is in bed with a temperature, and having the boiler serviced . At least dp got me a card and a cake though.

TJuice · 14/02/2008 14:37

what's with the eeny-meeny, wincy little weight gains? 3 lbs?

i thought i was doing okay - now 21 weeks and put on 12lbs since day 1 but quite clearly i am now a fat bastard, who's pregnant, rather than a tall pregnant bird.

NikNakF · 14/02/2008 14:42

Hi mummypig!

I have put on at least a stone, must be big baby

shortshafe · 14/02/2008 14:55

Just to make you I lost about a stone in the first 3 months and have only put 3lbs back on as yet! When I had dd I left hospital weighing 1lb less than when I got pregnant (Not on purpose, I might add - have not been watching what I eat at all).
Am hoping this pg will be the same!

Just had McDonalds as couldn't find chips and cheese - only ever fancy McD's when pg, how odd!

sweetkitty · 14/02/2008 15:08

I've just polished off 2 Tunnocks Caramel Wafers whilst the DDs were upstairs playing don't think my weight gain will stay at 3lbs for long though.

OP posts:
RUMPEL · 14/02/2008 15:18

Hi All,

Just received a bouquet of red roses and box of choccies form DH by post - how sweet of him.

TJUICE - I put on loads with DD and managed to lose 35lbs but am still 1 stone overweight so am hoping I don't put on too much. I was quite fit before DD but am now mostly lard - muscle tone has gone! I do my pelvics though - not into smelling of wee and all that goes with it!

DD and I have just shared ( of course i ate most of it) a bluberry muffin and about 5 double choc cookies - yum!!

RE Bellybutton - mine is so deep you could lose things in it but when pg with DD it popped out about 8 months and I discovered I have a birth mark in it! It is like a wee freckle and I thought at first it was choc cake crumbs but it was attached!
Bleurgh - givs me the heeby jeebies when your BB pops out. One of my old friends was black (puke) and discovered it was a hernia!!

SHORTSHAFE - only times I eat Mc or Burgerking too - when pg - bizarre. i put salt on food too now and again and I hate salt usually!!!

EEC · 14/02/2008 15:30

I had McD today too - have wanted it during all 3 pregnancies and never normally. It really is wierd isn't it? I haven't weighed myself as I never do, but know it's not just 3lbs! Probably a stone! I lost weight quite quickly last 2 times, but that was 10 nyears ago and I guess it will be harder this time!

Valentines day? What's that?!

Lost dog for over an hour today and have been in absolute tears. DH told me to calm down as we had found her in the end, but I just cried harder. Hormones?

emmy6781 · 14/02/2008 15:31

OH McDonalds is gooood but not my craving of the moment. Right now I fancy crispy aromatic duck from the chinese! Am going home via there! Have put on about 4lb so far and am 18wks.
re bellybotton mine is dissapearing fast!

shortshafe · 14/02/2008 16:09

EEC - glad you found the dog, i get frantic if mine ever escapes (she's my first baby! ) Tears definately hormone related - I cry much more at nice things now than I do sad things - dh says I wasn't as unpredictable last time I was pg!!

sweetkitty - I've been hiding my junk food habit recently as dd wants whatever I have, the idea of her having party rings everytime I go in the kitchen is awful to me - the idea of me NOT having party rings everytime I go in the kitchen is unthinkable!!!

sweetkitty · 14/02/2008 17:11

shortshafe - it is awful isn't it, I just cannot wait until they are in bed for junk food now.

I saw this very heavily pregnant woman at toddlers today and though OMG look at the size of her then thought OMG bet I will be that big in about 5 months time I think I was 9 sheets of toilet roll at the end, it's a way of measuring yourself (!) how many sheets it takes to wrap around your belly. I am not worried about weight gain/loss at all I have lost a stone and a half and 2 dress sizes from pre-children from doing absolutely nothing. I think having a 4 yo, 2 1/2 yo and BFing a newborn will be diet enough.

Pelvis quite painful today too must put my feet up all night, maybe even get a massage from DP later all for the baby of course.

pigleychez · 14/02/2008 19:01

Hi everyone.

Happy Valentines Day! Hope your all being treated well today. I received a lovely bunch of red roses whilst at work and this morning DH gave me 2 boxes of chocolates and a really sweet card! The card was a personalised one with my name on the front and there was a pic of our first scan printed inside with "Best Mummy to be in the world" - bless him!
Hes really excited about baby

not going out for dinner as we have both only just got in from work and its been a long day. Instead we are going to have a yummy chinese takeaway.

Re weight- I havent dared weigh myself yet... i dread to think how much ive put on!

ScottishSusan · 14/02/2008 19:06

Happy Valentines Day All!!

Allowing myself one glass of champagne this evening and actually quite enjoying it! Been totally off alcohol this pg.

Made a lovely casserole for tea but can't eat it - cooked onions - yuch!! It's the only taste/smell that is still making me sick!! So dh is having his dinner and champagne and I am here with my champagne xx aw poor darling!!!

He's great though and gave me chocolate to go with the champers so I'm totally happy!! Feeling very chilled - getting back to normal after the stress of the last week!

Hope everyone else is having a nice Valentine night!! xx

Took me a minute to realise that was you Susan you must still be delighted.

Have immense paranoia this morning haven't felt little pumpkin move in about 2 days, could be I've been rushing about too much but he/she wasn't moving last night in bed either when they usually do. Will be keeping a closer watch on tummy activities today.

Had horrendous night with DD1 she didn't go to bed until gone 11 she was coughing and making herself sick, I think she likes all the attention getting changed, drink of water etc, she was also up about 3 times in the night after that so I am shattered today.

Bloody SPD/SI/general pain in the bum pain has been niggly the past few days
