Anyone know how monkey is?

Thinking of you Disneystar. How long do you have to wait to see the consultant?

MissChika · 13/03/2008 16:28

Disney - thinking of you. Can't imagine how you must be feeling. Big hugsx

Minkus · 13/03/2008 16:36

Disney it's not surprising that you are upset, the idea that anything could be wrong with your unborn baby is going to throw things right out of kilter I bet. Must be such a hard wait now until your consultant appointment, fingers crossed for you and go easy on the guilt xxx

RUMPEL · 13/03/2008 16:55

Hey All,

DISNEY - so sorry to hear you are feeling so blue. It must be really really hard for you just now, with all the other things going on to. I read one of your other posts when it happened to your Dh and read about your other 2 boys - I cannot even begin to imagine how unbearable it must be to watch your children suffer. We are all thinking of you and hopefully everything will turn out well - but you need to do what you and your Dh feel is best for you and all your family. Nobody else can possibly comprehend unless they have been in the situation themselves and even then we are all different and all cope in different ways. Thinking of you and am praying it all turns out well in the end.xxx

disneystar · 13/03/2008 17:04

EEC i see the consultant on wednesday hes going to scan me himself, this ondition is quite rare only 1 in 300,000 babies are born with it a year,i have 2 already 1st time round no one knew till he was born, they said so rare was never going to happen again,i got pg very quickly after his birth
charlie has it to ive had to watch my first one have a double heart bypass at 10 mths old
both of them full re-constructive head and face surgery and brain surgery
the top doc was right at gt ormond st
its a curable and fixable syndrome, allowing them to live a full life but with many complications they are 7 and 6 now
they are fantastic im so proud of them,
it was just the thought that im choosing this for my new baby is this right, nothin seems fair to me today
guess im just feeling sorry for myself
my positive side is i have a new little boy coming and my boys chosen name was samuel,
so samuel it is
thank you so much all of you for sending kind thought to me
made me cry when i came on here told you i was weepy today
what will be will be what wont change is the fact i will have a new son im going to be proud of that fact and push all this negativity away.

EEC · 13/03/2008 17:16

Disney. You are so brave. What a fantastice mum you are. You are perfectly entitled to a good weep. We all do it even with no reason.

Your LO will be lucky to have you and his brothers whatever the outcome.

bebejones · 13/03/2008 17:30

Just a flying visit, had scan this afternoon! And it's a girl! So excited and my mum is over the moon! Have to go back in a couple of weeks as she wouldnt cooperate at all and they couldnt get all the readings they needed to!

Disney - ((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))) Have got everything crossed for you, and on a positive note Samuel is a GREAT name IMO (is DH's name!!)

libralady · 13/03/2008 17:45

disneystar
Huge hugs for you and your family. Samuel is a great name - it's DS's.
You sound like you have a really supportive DH. Hopefully the consultant will be able to put your mind at rest on Wednesday.
Makes all our other ailments pale into insignificance.
Hope you had a nice cup of tea.

isaidno · 13/03/2008 17:54

another hug for disneystar xx

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/03/2008 20:04

disneystar

i could quote 1000 clichés but i wont. your post made me well up. You sound great - i want some of your positivity and your brood will hopefully inherit some of that from you.
It seems a long wait until wednesday and i hope the news is positive. Until then we are all thinking of you and admiring your strength and motherly love x

sweetkitty · 13/03/2008 20:19

disneystar - puts everything into perspective, been trying to think of something useful to write but can't other than I am thinking of you and hoping for the best x

bebejones - congratulations on your little girl

Kaz1967 · 13/03/2008 22:18

So tired tonight I spend most of the morning tidyin up the house (or trying) and then fell asleep in a chair while waiting for the girl from the estate agents to come round. House will be on the market tomorrow

Kaz1967 · 14/03/2008 04:22

Just put Bumps latest pic on my profile. Not that pretty because they were being a real pain

isaidno · 14/03/2008 07:44

Nice pic Kaz!

Hope all the sick DC are feeling a little better today, and all the sick mummies too! My leg veins feel better this morning after I slept with my legs on a pillow!

I am 24 weeks and 1 day now - which means my baby is viable - she would have a reasonable chance of survival if she was born early. Pretty amazing really - she's got 16 weeks to get fat!

isaidno · 14/03/2008 09:15

I have gound the secret to pregnancy glow - loreal mineral blusher. I've had comments on the school run about being blooming and glowing!

Mummywannabe · 14/03/2008 09:19

Disney - hugs to you. Your a very strong woman.

Not at work today, have tummy pains, think it might be upset tummy but not sure, how do i know if its something to worry about.Trying to be calm and sensible but stressing myself out. Think i will give it an hour or so and if not better call midwife??

libralady · 14/03/2008 09:32

Mummywannabe
Can sympathise on the tummy cramps. I've been having them all week.
Feeling a bit better today. Managed to keep my tea down last night. Just a bowl of rice but at least it feels like I've eaten something.

Mummywannabe · 14/03/2008 09:37

Libralady - thanks. being pregnant is such a worrying time isn't it. How do you know when to worry? Gonna go back to bed shortly i think.

JODIEhavingababy · 14/03/2008 10:34

Disneystar Big hugs, I can't imagine what you are going through, but it sounds like you are keeping strong and positive, but thinking of you. I hope your DC's are OK today with the Chicken Pox....

Mummywannabe I think worrying that goes from pregnancy and beyond! If you are really concerned go and get checked out, better to be safe than sorry! (In my case, tummy cramps always end with a big fart!! )

Libralady Hope you are having a nice rest today and aren't feeling too 'depressed'!!!

Twinkle Good luck with your scan today

Gilly and Kaz and Bebejones congrats on scans.

Isaidno I know what you mean about the 24 week mark, I'm 1 week and 4 days off mine, I breathed a huge sigh of releif when I got there last time, funny isn't it!

Anyone I've missed, I'm sorry! but hope everryone else is feeling OK / Better and DC's are all OK......

libralady · 14/03/2008 11:06

I must admit I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I reached 24 weeks on Tuesday. Can't believe there is only 16 weeks to go!

MINNIE1 · 14/03/2008 11:25

Woke last night with the tummy cramps have been having them on and off but only during the night.. Its a pain cause if its not that its one of my DDs or sinus!! No harm in callin the midwife mummywannabe..
Hope you are all keeping well ..

EEC · 14/03/2008 11:48

1 week 2 days to go before 24 weeks. Will be a relief. Sorry to hear about tummy pains. I had wierd pains yesterday only for about 1/2 hour and it is worrying. Fine today - infact loads of energy. Sun's shining, birds are singing...

UmmFulaan · 14/03/2008 11:57
