Mummywannabe · 14/03/2008 14:26

twinkle1 · 14/03/2008 14:38

Hi all,
Back from the scan/clinic.Both babies fine and did co operate for measuring. They are both very similar size wise,i then saw the consultant who is pleased with things.they have booked me in for another 4 scans at 24,28,32 and 36 weeks and said they will add more if i need them Im never going to be away from the place. They are still planning to do my c/section at 38 weeks if i get that far
And they are both still surprises;)

EEC · 14/03/2008 15:04

How lovely twinkle.

Ummfulaan - Welcome. Sorry to hear about complications. Hope nothing too serious.

RUMPEL · 14/03/2008 16:24

Hi All,

Welcome UMMFULAAN.

TWINKLE - well done and great they are surprises - do you think it wil saty that way with all those scans!?

My cold is getting better thank goodness so have managed to achieve a lot today. My B, necie and SIl are coming tomorrow so been tidying up - a lost cause sometimes with DD!
Am looking forward to seeing the 2 girls play together. They haven't seen each other since before they could both walk so should be fun! I blew up a wee pool for them and filled it with balls.

DH felt littly kick for the first time the other night - he/she is a right little mover!

Must go and bath DD and at least attempt some studying!

How are all the SPD people today?
I keep getting nose bleeds today - a right pain when you need to lean over so much!

HOpe everyone is wellxxx

Kaz1967 · 14/03/2008 17:02

Twinkle pleased about the scan tis always good to know everything os progressing as it should

UmmFulaan Welcome

I am so glad I decided to rest today and stayed at home to sleep because I have such itchy nipples it is driving me nuts

isaidno · 14/03/2008 17:19

welcome ummfalaan; great news Twinkle!

sweetkitty · 14/03/2008 17:25

oh loads to catch up on

Twinkle - brilliant news about your scan, you are so good not finding out the sex, do you have any idea?

Rumpel - mad about your nosebleeds

Ummfulaan - hello and welcome to mumsnet, beware though it's v addictive

Mummywannabee - it is worrying when you have stomach cramps when pregnant. I had some bad ones yesterday, trip to the loo determined what it was I have the most dicky tummies out of anyone I know and I'm veggie so can't blame dodgy meat. If the pains are more up towards your stomach and kind of rumbly like your guts it's probably alright. Labour pains are much lower (I think). More likely dodgy tummy.

libralady - 23+2 now 24 weeks is a landmark date closely followed by 28, I always think 28 is good.

Disney - hope you are OK today, apart from your 2 DS's and your yet to be born DS what else do you have and their ages? Always interested in the balance of peoples families always seems to go one way or the other doesn't it?

I worked out that my Gran had 4 girls and 2 boys, they had 7 girls and 2 boys, they have had so far 9 girls and 2 boys. DP's family is the same mostly girls with the odd boy thrown in. Seems we are just girl producers.

Still feeling a bit down about the pain but every day is one day less I have to put up with it, don't know how people in chronic pain put up with it. Finally got around to sorting out some photos today getting them printed out and putting in albums, had to look at baby pics of the DDs including one of me right after DD2 came out looking lovely (!) also bought 3 new frames, 2 for the DDs and one extra for DD3.

Minkus · 14/03/2008 18:30

Hello everyone

Congrats on scan Twink, and welcome to Umm Fulaan. Sorry to hear you are still suffering Kitty, my friend was very lucky in that she had quite severe SPD in her middle trimester, crutches and on the brink of using a wheelchair then wierdly it almost completely disappeared in the final 8 weeks or so. Fingers crossed this could happen for you

Well I am nursemaid today. DH amazingly hasn't got a hangover after Cheltenham races yesterday but the poor love actually has proper flu I think, not just Man Flu. He is so pale, got a minging cough, no appetite, is really shivery and his temperature is alarmingly high so I am being Florence Nightingale and ministering to his needs. Which are many because he's a shit patient and the most miserable person on earth when he's ill (which he undoubtably is, I can't just brush this off with a "for heaven's sake get a grip man!") He's alseep on the sofa under a big snuggly blanket at the mo. SO with DS's upset tummy earlier in the week and DH's flu now we are officially Unclean . Yes I am still puking but that's just the norm now so have to get on with it!
Weighed myself this morning and am still 4lbs lighter than when I got preggers. Although looking at my belly you wouldn't believe it!

Have a good start to the weekend everyone xx

JODIEhavingababy · 14/03/2008 19:00

Ahh Minkus sorry to hear about your DH, mine has just got over it enough to go to the pub tonight, but has sbeen in bed since Saturday!!! He was very poorly sick! Plenty of Lemsip and Lucozade!

MinniethePink · 14/03/2008 19:44

Really snapped at DH tonight for not getting DS ready for bed as quickly as I would like because he was tired and wingeing and now after reading Disney's post I feel a bit ashamed and humbled! I know you are finding it tough but your attitude is an inspiration.

Sorry to confuse people, I'm Min912 as was. Changed my name in excitement over the probable-girl scan outcome. Was kind of meant to be like that song, Lilly the Pink?? I don't know, I can't think of anything clever...

MinniethePink · 14/03/2008 19:47

Oh, and re SPD I have been seeing a McTimoney chiropractor quite regularly and I think that and yoga make a huge difference - went yesterday and felt like I was walking on air coming out, you just don't realise how stiff/tensed up/out of alignment you get. £40 in my area but worth it not to feel like I did last time.

bebejones · 15/03/2008 06:55

Couldnt sleep so thought I would 'update' the list and add my little girl...seems things have evened out a bit, numbers wise!!!!

Feel really crap today, havent slept well all week, and have 2 weeks 'holiday' now but DH has to go in to work and be there for 9am today (very long story) so we are both really annoyed. Means I have to go shopping by myself........again! Sorry, I know it's a really insignificant winge considering what some people are going through, just really needed a duvet day!!!

libralady · 15/03/2008 07:16

Sorry about your DH having to work bebejones.

Just off to Cardiff to watch the championship decider! I can't wait. Just a bit worried about all the crowds. Come on Wales!

Catch up with you tomorrow when I get back.

Mummywannabe · 15/03/2008 09:20

Thanks sweetkitty - feel alot better today. Pains were low down and in my less sensible moments i was sure i was gonna have it! Spoke to ward in the end who tell me that its most likely because i over did things and that i might have been dehydrated?? Advised to go to bed for day, take paracetamol. Did that and feel much better today.

Minkus - poor you, hope DH is better soon. Men make the worse patients don't they.

EEC · 15/03/2008 10:16

It's so hard not to overdo things, don't you think - we spend so much time feeling rotten, that when we do have some energy we try and rush around packing everything in! Glad you're feeling better mummywannabe.

DH and DS felt LO kicking for 1st time (DD smug as felt it a couple of weeks ago!). Much excitement!

JODIEhavingababy · 15/03/2008 19:56

Blimy it's been quiet on here today. Are you all OK?

Haven't anything really to say, but the thread looked abit sad sat about with no visiters all day!
