Hi everyone! Can't read everything which has happened since I went away a few days, so hope there have been no catastrophes other than of the diet variety! I've been eating loads of haribo, biscuits and cereal. Crap is def more attractive than healthy! Been to the MILs for 3 days and been fed properly; desperate for some sugary processed garbage now!

I'm updating the list to say mine's a girl - I have to admit I bought a little frilly dress with matching pants while I was away. I just couldn't resist!

Oh lumme I just had a scare

was lounging around MNing this afternoon as you do and got up to go to the loo and my pants were wet was not urine before you ask

I googled amniotic leaking and phoned midwife, who said come to labour ward - it was really odd being back there again. I had to gown up and lie down for ages, then was examined

all well thank goodness, she said everything was very wet down there but not leaking from placenta as far as she could tell

feel a fool but was so worried - I hope I have not got an infection or something which was causing discharge? - they have swabbed etc

oh thank you for fitting me on the list of names! 9a LOL

Franny - sure everything is fine but I bet that was quire scarey xxx

Been eating loads today but don't feel satisfied - want something NICE - don't know what just NICE

I with you on not finding anything that hits he spot- so far today I have eaten/drunk an apple, an orange, cup of hot chocolate, some squash, a marmalade roll, some tuna pasta, greek yoghurt with some cinnamon and honey, about 6 glasses of milk, a packet of crisps and a neapolitan choc ice. And even though I'm definitely not hungry any more (stopped being hungry at the marmalade roll mark ) there is still something in my brain that's telling me to keep going cos none of it was satisfying but I just don't know what will be. So I try everything!

And now I just feel sick! I think I'm gonna be the size of a house by July

again, I agree with wanting something but not sure what. have to make a pudding for a friends surprise 40th birthday party on sat. not sure what to make, was looking in all my cookery books, and got hungry looking at all the puddings. have decided on either margarita icecream or ginger passion fruit trifle (a la nigella express). so might have to do with a Gu choc brownie with skinny cow toffee ice cream for pud tonight.

been to Liverpool for a weekend away. had a fab time, now feel sick and tired as usual. hard work entertaining the kids all day, they complained about being walked all round town, then ate too many jelly sweets (a bribe to keep them walking), and my youngest was sick all night!!!

Bumpwise, I seem to be carrying this one really high, have a large bump above my belly button and mostly just fat below. should I read anything into that???

Evening all still here but been busy, pumpkin is moving a lot again so about that.

Went to christening today got v broody holding little 5mo boy, loads of people there I hadn't seen in oh years so it was good to catch up, a few I hadn't seen since I was pregnant with number 1 so they were shocked I was on number 3 already.

Scan tomorrow, very very exciting and nerve-wracking... I don't think there has been anything more important happen so far (poor DH, obviously wedding was very important!).

Gosh you all have been chatterboxes over the weekend! I will try to catch up later, but hope you are all well and good, and got spolt rotten for Valentines Day! I just did the norm, DH cooked a nice meal, was lovely, had a lovely glass of Rioja, but was very that I had to stop at one (it was quite large) I was really in the mood to get drunk!

It's freezing here, although sun's out, so quite nice, went for a few 'brisk' walks Sat and Sun, and just generally spend some quality time with DH and DS, very rare as we are both usually rushing around. So all in all had a lovely weekend.

NikNakF, just crossed post, I'm excited for you. My scan is AGES away...... Good luck

Morning all

Just had my scan and all is well hurrah! I actually feel pregnant now, silly I know but knowing that everything was ok as far as could be seen has really made me "connect" with the baby if that makes sense. It was a right little wriggler and the poor sonographer had to get me to lie in all sots of positions to get a good look

I think I may have seen what gender it is, think there have been previous threads about this but can't quite recall which way round it is. If there are lines is it a girl and if there are a couple of blobs is it a boy? Shouldn't really be trying to guess considering we've decided to keep it a surprise but curiousity is getting the better of me! Can anyone shed some light on it? I'll post over on pregnancy board too

Minkus lines are a boy and blobs a girl - when we were students we remembered it as boy = hot dog and girl = hamburger . Glad scan went well!

Mines not until the 13th, will be 22+3 by then! Ages (25 days)

MINKUS - glad scan went well, I keep thinking that at my next scan, that will (probably) be the last time I see my baby until it's arrived! scary!

NikNakf - Are you going to find out what you are having?

As for hunger, I'm starving, all the time! Nothing satisfies, so I know what you all mea, I even tried a McDonalds the other day, which I rarely have now, and as nice as it was, I still left feeling 'empty' I don't think the biggest supermarket in the world could sell something that could fill this void! Have cravings for Strawberry Laces at the moment, am going through hndreds of them!

minkus - great news about scan! What do you think it is?

I've just got back from the nappacino morning and I've ordered some real nappies. Is it sad to be excited about that? I spent £87 on 6 nappies and 4 wraps. My council give me £30 cashback so that's not too bad.

I've already got some 2nd hand motherease, and a load of prefolds - I'm having a green baby this time!

Midwife tomorrow - get to hear heartbeat again, but plenty of wriggling now so I know baby is fine!

I too am still very "hungry" the cupboards are rammed with food that I've bought thinking it would be yummy but after one little bit realise "nope thats not it". Really fancy raw mince- but obviously can't have that, even if I wasn't pregnant!- so just look longingly at the meat counter every time I go past... (how odd) But then we must be an odd family- my sis craved washing up sponges when she was pg - not to eat but just to chew on. The yellow ones with the green scourer on the other side- her mouth used to water every time she did the washing up! So funny.

Soz isaidno, crossed post- saw your other thread too about how reliable gender predictions from scans are- a freind of mine was told that sonographer was sure (obv couldn't guarantee though) it was a girl, they picked out a name and got lots of pink stuff and said girl is now a beautiful 6 month old called Ben Bless him he came home from hospital in a "princess" babygro which his dad is still traumatised about...

Hehe Minkus that is so funny!! I think if it's a boy it's quite clearly a boy but otherwise can be dubious.

Jodie - yes we are. I wasn't sure but DH has done his fair share of Obstetrics and he could probably guess if we get the right view, and I don't want him knowing and me not!! I can't believe it's tomorrow, I was counting down aswell as I have held off doing or buying anything until surer that baby ok and finally it's tomorrow and completely distracted 25 days feels ages but will fly!

isaidno - very impressive, I'm still debating about how green I can manage, would like to though.

Had a lovely bug in our house and despite boiling the whole house and antiseptic in everyones bathwater dc5 has passed it to dc4 today
I actually cried becasue dc4 was so helpless and poorly - my lamb!
I am constantly hungry and just about managed to keep to my 'aimed for' weight at 20 weeks! (today)

I have gained 4 lbs so far which is very low for me - i normally gain 3-3.5 stone in a pg but started a little heavier than i normally am..

1 week till scan..cannot wait but there is some trepidation.

my house is in upheaval as we have stripped some rooms ready for plasterer and yesterday ripped a wall down on the top landing! (fun for sunday!)The previous occupants had au-pairs so had it as a separate flat up here1 sadly no such joy for me!

all i think about dawn till dusk is food which is vile - lol at raw mice MINKUS! I do understand it ( a bit) as i crave meat and have been vegetarian for 26 years

better go and get some of my children bedward!
