@ancienthouse ohhh, it actually never crossed my mind id be starting to produce things so early but it does make total sense now you have said it 😅 thankfully it’s nothing to be concerned about!

That made me chuckle about your boobs having a little holiday 😂

Longbin · 16/10/2022 07:36

@LauraA31 @DBS94 bbhugme is really comfy

Hannah223344 · 16/10/2022 08:06

@LauraA31 @DBS94 I brought the bbhugme pillow and picked it up on Friday .... I was a bit sceptical as it's a bit pricier, but the reviews were good ... I can honestly say after only having had it 48hrs, it's brilliant!! So comfy for sleep (especially on my back as I was getting achy), but also just sitting on the sofa too!

Deek88 · 16/10/2022 09:06

Jointing from the last thread 😊

Gilm0reGirl · 16/10/2022 09:23

@DBS94 I love my Bellamoon pillow.

Yes I keep getting told how April is a lovely time to have a baby, feel very lucky and excited!

And I also have the bbhugme pillow which I bought a bit early at 13 weeks pregnant 🤣 mainly because my knees were hurting being on top of each other sleeping on the side. I highly recommend it it’s soo comfy!

lj2022 · 16/10/2022 15:11

15 weeks tomorrow and I'm in agony today. My lower back and lower abdomen are so sore particularly to the left I think my uterus does sit slightly left so I'm assuming it's stretching pain but it's the worst it's been. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar ?

lj2022 · 16/10/2022 15:12

@DBS94 very similar to how I feel right now. I have been in bed until around 2pm today and got up to do housework as my partner is out today at the football. I've managed the kitchen and feel like I need to abandon the rest and go back to bed. Hope it eases off for you

Lapin387 · 16/10/2022 15:19

15 weeks with third baby and I’ve broken out the maternity clothes. I figure this is my last and so I want to get the wear out of the clothes while I can 😅. I also ordered a dress in the seraphine sale because my husband said I should make the most of being pregnant given this is our last. Think he’s also trying to make me feel more positive about it all because I’ve been so tired and sick lately.

AliceinSlumberland · 16/10/2022 15:56

@Lapin387 ooo which dress have you ordered can you share?

I just bought this absolutely gorgeous little newborn outfit from Vinted for £3! No idea if baby will fit in newborn stuff so sticking with second hand which I’ll just sell on again if baby comes out a bit big.

Was meant to be meeting a friend tonight for some drinks but she’s cancelled which I’m selfishly very happy about as I can now have a lovely bath, get my pjs on and have a chilled evening. Went for a long dog walk this morning and then started sorting out our spare room which has basically been a dumping ground until now so think that’s wiped me out!

@AliceinSlumberland

This one:

All my previous maternity dresses have short sleeves. I don’t actually need it yet as my normal fit and flare style dresses all still fit but it’ll be lovely when we go away for my birthday in the new year ❤️

Ratbagcatbag · 16/10/2022 16:27

Sorry for barging in on your lovely thread, but bloody hell, you guys have just given me a huge pang of nostalgia. I was on the April 2013 thread!!! How has ten years gone by.

Im going to wish you all so much luck with it all. Our group moved onto a locked FB group just before our babies were born and we've still got 90 of us in there. We've had meet ups, made life long friendships and had some epic handholding throughout, I hope you get the same from your group too.

Sending lots of unMNetty hugs. Xx

Biscuitsplease · 16/10/2022 16:27

@lj2022 I have terrible lower back pain as well. Really struggling with it today, just walked the dogs and had to be really slow! It's normally bad in the morning but has been bad all day today, I'm 16w today.

Have just been googling about it and found this link helpful oryon.co.uk/blog/back-pain-early-pregnancy/#

I'm going to start pregnancy yoga and maybe swimming in the next few weeks so maybe that will help

MamaMenna · 16/10/2022 17:26

@Ratbagcatbag 🥰 that's so nice! Amazing your group has 90 of you and its been 10 years!! I'm in one for my first baby that also moved onto fb, it was also great but at peak we were about 30.

@Biscuitsplease I wonder what the link is with chocolate and back pain?? They say that but give no explanation! I would think it releases endorphins and is therefore helpful so will continue eating it. I'm feeling super virtuous because we went for a long walk today after weeks of inactivity. I'm now knackered and old back injury is playing up, but mentally doing well!

Erber · 16/10/2022 18:09

I'm also another one with back pain. I've never experienced this in my other pregnancies even when I was bigger. It started on Monday at the end of the working day. Was feeling a bit sore generally before I left work then when I got home couldn't lift my legs to get out of the car. My lower back is just in agony and I can't really bend at all. I can walk as long as I don't lean too far back but I have to take very small.steps. I went to.work on Tuesday although I was pretty useless and couldn't really do anything. Ended up taking the rest of the week off. Called the midwife on Wednesday who said to contact gp as she didn't think it was pregnancy related as I'm only 15 weeks. Managed to get to the gp who prescribed me co-codamol but didn't really do anything else. I've referred myself to the antenatal physio and have a phone appointment on the 26th but I'm not sure what they'll do.if both gp and midwife are saying it's not pregnancy related. It's been almost a week now without real improvement. The co-codamol doesn't touch the pain and makes me very tired and feel a bit sick so I've stopped taking it the last few days. I'm hoping someone can do something for me though because I can barely move. I'm also off next week with an 8 and 4 year old to look after as it's the school holidays. OH is a chef and works long hours so im pretty much on my own.

Annclare88 · 16/10/2022 19:28

Checking in here so I can follow quietly :) I'm very new here and 13 weeks in, first time too.

Longbin · 16/10/2022 20:14

Whoever mentioned Vinted a few days ago, you've cost me a fortune. I've already ordered about 10 items of clothing and a buggy board

😬 it’s brilliant isn’t it! There’s loads of packs of babygrows for sale with the tags still on! Save the cash ladies!

DBS94 · 16/10/2022 20:22

I've just downloaded Vinted too 😂 not made a purchase yet as waiting until we find out the sex but my goodness there's some great bits - thanks for the recommendation ladies x

AliceinSlumberland · 16/10/2022 20:31

Hahaha possibly me cause I can’t stop going on about it, I’m addicted! Also loads of good maternity clothes in there too! Not sure I’ll ever buy full price baby clothes again.

I saw a thing about a mum who just resells each age stage clothes and then uses the credit to buy the next stage she needs. So she basically hardly ever spends actual money on baby clothes as it’s essentially a big recycling system!

Im soooo tired today, when does the 2nd trimester non-tiredness kick in? 😂

Longbin · 16/10/2022 20:33

I used a fb group where I used to live and saved a fortune. I didn't realise how much places like jojo and the white company charge as it's only a couple of pounds secondhand. I can't imagine paying full price for everything!

AliceinSlumberland · 16/10/2022 20:56

Oooo I hadn’t thought of looking for a local fb group!

Chocolat · 16/10/2022 21:20

Is everyone starting to buy stuff? When is acceptable? Lol
im a FTM so wasn’t sure when to start, but was planning to go and look around mama and papas this weekend when I’ll be almost 17 weeks 🥰

Longbin · 16/10/2022 21:29

I've already started @Chocolat. Nearly bought everything now, other than bulky items!

@lj2022 is your lower abdomen pain a bit similar to period pain?
That's what I've had for the past couple of days - a really dull, ongoing cramping, lighter than a period pain. Can't help but worry this could be bad news! Is anyone else cramping? I thought this was supposed to be first trimester only problem.
