Welcome back ladies. Here we are, second trimester 🥰

Had my midwife appointment today was so happy I got to hear the baby's heartbeat! ☺️ that's reassured me now, hopefully will keep me going until I start feeling movements.

@alwaysseeingstars Thank you! Honestly, part of the reason I'm so surprised is my life is never that "neat". Not in a bad way - I have a very nice, but very...interesting life where nothing every really goes according to plan, so to have one of each with exactly the age gap I was looking for is a bit unusual for me.

@SavedByGraceAlone I actually called Tommy's to ask when to stop the progesterone and they said they advise taking till 16+6. So I did that, based on scan date. But she did say the placenta generally kicks in way earlier like around 12 weeks so basically fine to stop anywhere around 16 weeks x

@SavedByGraceAlone Yes it was a bit confusing as I had assumed we stop at 16 exactly weeks so when she said to go till like 16+6 I was surprised! Also it was 16+2 based on ovulation for me that I stopped. So dates are all a bit of a guesstimate! But if you're worried you could always ring them. I'm well thank you! Sorry to hear you've been a bit anxious, do you have any scans booked between now and the 20 week one? X

@Skylark1990, nope no scans booked until my 20 week one! My DH is convinced we don't need them as I can't keep relying on them. I think he's right... In the beginning we had scans every two weeks at my EPU as they were monitoring me due to previous MCs. So I guess I got used to that, but now trying to learn to relax and trust that everything is okay and not feeling anything is normal at this point! Are you having more regular scans? X

I'm so tempted to get another scan. We're not finding out the sex so not for that reason.

I just find them fascinating and it's so lovely to be able to see baby.

My next scan is the anomaly scan in just under 3 weeks. If that goes well I feel I will be able to relax mentally. After that I’ve got a growth scan booked for 28 weeks they’ll be every few weeks after that. Hoping the baby is a similar size to Dd as I don’t feel I can push out anything bigger 😬 I struggled last time as it was!

Cannot get to sleep tonight even though I'm exhausted 😴 having a bit of a storm here in scotland and it's so noisy outside! Also not helping with me needing to wee every 5 mins 😂

Didnt get a call back yesterday regarding the GTT so if I make it through today I think I can assume I passed, she said she’d ring yesterday afternoon if I didn’t but not going to relax until today just in case she got delayed.

Lying very still and hoping to feel movement has become a full time occupation for me, anyone else? Not felt anything though 😭 I’m 16w 4d and apparently my placenta is at the back so hopefully I’ll feel him soon and he’s okay in there!
