Hi myjobismum - i've not yet experienced that in this pregnancy but suffered in my last - I think it is just your womb stretching and hormomes making you ligements soft and achy.

It is horrible I know as when you get any tummy pain you automatically think the worse.

If you're worried chat to your midwife, but I can safely say that after having the very same pains (is it sometimes like electric shocks and stinging, sorry it's difficult to describe how it was for me) I now have a very lovely 15 month old.

Try not to worry, it's more that like just another pregnancy niggle we have to grin and bear.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2008 08:21

How are you feeling this morning myjob? It does just sound like stretching, so hope it's eased for you by now.

Spink · 27/02/2008 09:28

myjob, hope your abdomen is giving you a break and stopped it's stretchy thing. Boo to the crazy first trimester scariness. booooo

Hi mind if I join you all? I've been following this thread a little and decided I'd finally write. I'm due 2nd Oct and have ds who is 2 1/2.
I had a scan at 6 weeks showing a lovely little heartbeat and since then I've been waiting for the symptoms to really kick in. So far, I've only really had sore and bigger boobs and tiredness. I remember feeling really pg with my son - constipation, sore boobs, little bit of nausea. Anyone else having a different 2nd pg? Anyone else not having loads of symptoms? I think because it took me a long time to get pg this time I'm worrying a lot.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well today.

buttercupbabe welcome. I'm having a symptomless pregnancy as well! Except for the sore boobs! Oh, so sore!!!

But not really any sickness, although a bit of queasiness here and there. I'm tired, but not utterly exhausted. And that's about it...! If I didn't know I was pregnant, I wouldn't know!

Take care of yourself!

bethoo · 27/02/2008 10:56

so fed up of waiting to see if this pregnancy is actually still happening!!! only 4 weeks to go i suppose til i get a scan. cant help but worry about anohter mm/c. the queesiness has subsided and not so tired so concerned. trying to be positive but it is hard.

iuseantiageingstuff · 27/02/2008 11:25

Morning everyone

Feeling better today must have needed the time off work, glad I made the decision.

Dont worry too much about having 2 dcs close together,my two ds's are only sixteen months apart and they are wonderfully close. They only stopped sharing a bed about two years ago because they got to big to share. They are 14 and nearly 13 now.The eldest has never known a time without his little brother, they do fight but they do lots of thiongs together and they give eachother pep
talks about school and girls.

At times it was tricky with 2 in nappys, but its been well worth it.

I am now concerned about the other end of the scale with such a big age gap.My youngest being 11 when the baby is born.

daisyj · 27/02/2008 12:48

Loulou, what a MAGNIFICENT cheese list. That's my favourite thing at the moment. I salute you and the bean salutes you too, with its little stumpy almost-hands .

bethoo · 27/02/2008 13:01

i enjoy my cheddar with pickled onions!! though that is the stereotypical craving!!!

perkypopsy · 27/02/2008 13:50

Hi buttercup I was about to post the same thing - we are due same day too - is so reassuring to know is not only me. I had much more sickness weeks 7 and 8 - this week things have calmed down - I just get the burps (sorry TMI) and feel indigested and have some salty food cravings - I haven't fallen asleep on sofa as much and my boobs are less sore (and I don't need the loo as much as last time). I have decided to have PMA and that is just my body getting used to the hormones - I have heard so many stories about symptoms while on MN that my conclusion is that everyone is different and evn same mum different baby is different so no point in worrying about it (if I say this it means I have to mean it ha ha).

daisyj · 27/02/2008 14:01

Ugh, bethoo, the thought of pickled onions! You must have a cast-iron stomach with your pot noodles 'n' all. Hope your anxiety has eased a bit today... Must be horrible for you. Told our HR manager at work today - she is pregnant too, and totally chilled out. Don't know how she does it - I want what she's on (as long as it's not pickled onions!).

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 27/02/2008 14:11

Hi there can i join you?

I've just found out i'm pg and due end of oct

accessorizequeen · 27/02/2008 14:24

Hullo all, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks but thought I should show my face, it's interesting reading that so many of you are struggling with weeks 7 & 8 as I'm feeling really queasy half the day now in week 8 and it's hideous!

This is no.3, and tbh I'm having a hard time coming to terms with it. I'm sure I'll feel better after a scan but haven't even been to the gp yet! I have two ds's, 14 months and 4.2. I had a 3 yr age gap the last time and I'm pretty nervous about a 22month gap this time, ds2 isn't even walking!

It hadn't even occurred to me not to eat my goat's cheese, I'd best go and check if it's pasteurised or not as I've had lots of it lately. Drat.

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 27/02/2008 14:45

I've never been on one of these threads before so not sure if i'm in the right place?

there are so many its hard to know if your on the 'right' one

MrsTittleMouse · 27/02/2008 15:11

Hello sparkles,
If you're due at the end of October then you're on the right thread.

sambrads · 27/02/2008 15:35

hello ladies nice to see all or new comers

i have been reading everyones coments and i think we should calm down on the symptom part of our pregnancies .

i was thinking today aout people who dont know there pregnant until there 6 months or even more and they must not have had symtoms or they would have caught o what was happening

i never felt anything the whole way through my first pregnancy so im not worried with this one

i think its madness how pregnancy takes over your life its so funny hahaha

12 week scan here we all come
