Giid advuce sambrads but i think it is too late and that i have already driven myself mad worrying whether there are 2 or not!! Will have to wait WEEKS to find out. I think its because i'm no longer drinking caffeine that my brain is struggling to think properly!!

loulou33 · 28/01/2008 15:54

Sorry i meant GOOD ADVICE sambrads - god i can't spell now either and its only been 5 weeks!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2008 16:19

Hello. Thought I'd poke my head in as I found out today that I am pregnant too, due around 4th I think. I have one dd already who will be 2 next week.

On the caffeine thing, I avoid it anyway whilst ttc and bf, so am off it except the odd bit in chocolate.

loulou33 · 28/01/2008 16:34

Hi CantSleepWontSleep,

i'm avoiding caffeine more because when pg last time with DS (now 2) i could not sleep at all if i had had any caffeine during the day. Chocolate doesn't seem to bother me fortunately!!

sambrads · 28/01/2008 16:43

Oh my god, its only 8.10 and I just HAVE to go to bed, I'm so so tired. Better get used to it I guess!

fairydust2 · 28/01/2008 20:28

Hi Sydney, I feel the same but I managed to squeeze in an afternoon nap. The benefit of working from home! It's a good sign if you're feeling really tired so hope you get a good night's sleep.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 06:09

I'm the opposite it seems - been awake an hour already, and no likelihood of naps with the incredible non-sleeping child!

sambrads · 29/01/2008 08:01

hello ladies !!!!

im like you cantsleepwontsleep it seems that i can get up alot easier in the morning and no sleep with a 16 month ds in the afternoons !!!!

i am having awful stretching pains i remember them from last time !!
i was always at the doc as i thought something bad was happening but it was my ligaments i had pulled them god it was sore!!!!

Just popping on to say congratulations to everyone, I'm feeling so excited just reading your posts . I'm just having a nosy as my dd will be 3 () in october, and sometimes I like to remember how it was when I first found out I was pg.
Wishing you sticky beans and pain free labours!

SydneyB · 29/01/2008 10:18

Kookie - welcome and fingers crossed! You must be v. nervous. Is this your 1st?

Sambrads - ouch, me too!

sambrads · 29/01/2008 10:38

i have an appointment with the doc this afternoon to confirm things .

as i have taken clomid i have a high risk of a multiple of babies so i am going to ask her if i can go and get an early scan to see how many is in there

not sure if she will agree but i had to wait til my son was 15 weeks before i got my first scan and that drove me nuts then what will i be like now!!

as for the stretching i think i might have pulled muscles again as i have to put my hand on my lower belly as when i stand up i feel like it is going to rip open and its not a good feeling

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 16:16

That's a long wait for a first scan sambrads. How did you get on at docs this afternoon?

Kookie - have you asked whether you can have an early scan or blood tests (2 done 48 hours apart to check for rising hormone levels) due to your previous m/c? I had a missed m/c before having dd, and second time around got a scan at 8/9 weeks, just for reassurance.

I just popped into GP's and made an appointment for Thursday morning. It will no doubt amuse him as only last Friday dh asked him to organise a sperm test (we'd been trying for 14 months, and took 3.5 years to conceive the first time, plus another 7 months for dd).

sambrads · 29/01/2008 17:13

hi ya cantsleepwontsleep

got on really well at docs i am 5 weeks and going next thursday for an early scan to check how many is in there!!

it will feel more real xoxox

loulou33 · 29/01/2008 17:44

Good luck for the scan on Thursday Sambrads - wich i coudl get one as well to ease my paranoia.

Fairydust2 - maybe you're right, cos its my second, that's why my boobs are so big, my stomach's massive and i'm having to wear baggy tops to work and i'm eating like a horse except when i feel sick....oh moan moan moan already - god shut me up!!!!

fairydust2 · 29/01/2008 18:02

Sambrads, great news about the scan. It will be great to know so early if you have twins or maybe more...

Loulou - tell me about it! I feel enormous. I remember the first time I was pregnant, people moaned at me because I was still slim at 5 months. I think I will get the "oh my god, you're massive" comments this time round especially from my MIL!!

cantsleepwontsleep - your dh must be relieved!

loulou33 · 29/01/2008 18:31

Fairydust2 - if you're MIL says you're massive at any point in your pg, you have my permission to deck her, MIL or not!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 18:50

Thanks Idris . You know I have my own thread for you to say that on . What you doing lurking in ante-natal anyway? Have I missed some news ?

Good news re scan sambrads .

sambrads · 30/01/2008 07:51

goodmorning ladies any crack ???

i phoned my cousin last night who is the only person i told i was taking clomid and told her i was pregnant.
she then said she was pregnant and 5 weeks the same as me
i so cant believe it we could never have planned it if we tried .
she was so afraid to tell me incase i got upset as she only did it once and was pregnant so she is over the moon for me

is anyone feeling sick in the morning??

when i get up i feel so queasy and breakfast is the last thing i want to eat and i am so so tired .

last night at my MIL i was washing dishes after diner and threw up in the sink over the dishes how embarrasing but it just flew out .
luckily my mil was in the living room .

Hi Sambrads, that's great news about your cousin. Bless her being worried about telling you. She much be so pleased to hear your preggers too. Sorry to hear you were sick over the dishes. It must be whole the hormones from the twins you might be carrying

I'm not feeling many symptoms myself. Although did feel cramps on and off yesterday which must have been my ligaments stretching.
