I am full of sympathy for the comfy trouser problem. At every opportunity I pull on the elasticated waists. I am also up every night for constant wee trips. My mum used to tell me it was to prepare your body for the constant sleepless nights when baby arrives.

Can I ask, has everyone told their friends/families?
I have told a couple of my best friends because there was no way I could hide it from them. However my DH last night told me he didnt want anyone to know yet. He isnt very good at the whole emotional stuff and I think he doesnt want to go through telling everyone again if we MC. I dont know how much longer I can hide it. I am looking crap and I am definetly getting a bump now. Also I normally drink quite alot and now all our friends are getting suspiscious as I am not drinking. I couldnt even go out this evening because of it. Rubbish.

Emmsy1 · 24/02/2008 05:09

07mumstheword I was posting this morning to let you know I have just decided to graduate, just incase you wanted to do it with me, but now I see you have been having cramps and spotting, so you probably don't feel like it just at the moment. Take care hun, I hope all is well with your little bean, you graduate when you feel up to it!

07mumstheword · 24/02/2008 08:39

Thanks for your kind wishes. Still no more bleeding and I'm still feeling/being sick so fingers crossed it's looking good. I will let you know tomorrow.

Ronshar I went out with 3 friends on Friday night and even though my DH told me not to tell it was too much to bear especially as two of them are PG and were talking about it. I feel guilty for spilling the beans and told DH I kept our secret quiet - that's probably why I feel guilty.

Myjob Even though I'm only 6 wks my belly gets bloated by the evening and I'm in trackie bottoms around the house. It seems ridiculous to feel like that already but it really happens every night.

Emmsy Thank you so much for thinking of me. I think I will wait to see what happens at the scan tomorrow and if all is well I may graduate.

bigmouthstrikesagain · 24/02/2008 09:34

Jojay · 24/02/2008 11:06

Hello - can I join you guys????

Just got a BFP yesterday morning - hurray!!!

It's my second - I have DS who's 15 months now and for the second time, have managed to get pregnant after only trying for one month!!

I'm very excited and amazed it's happened so quickly! I feel very lucky.

Don't feel at all pregnant at the moment though - I only did the test so I knew whether to have a drink or not last night!! ( DH and I went out ofr a meal for our anniversary)

Anyway, congrats to all, and roll on October!!

Jambers99 · 24/02/2008 13:21

Good luck for tomorrow mumstheword, hope all is well with your little bean.

Welcome jojay, and congratulations! When are you due?

ronshar, I haven't told anyone yet - feel very nervous about telling everyone and then something going wrong. Though of course if I did miscarry I'd need a few shoulders to cry on. Haven't even been to the doctor yet, but I plan to take another pregnancy test today (just to be sure I'm not dreaming) and then call tomorrow if it's still positive.

Ekka · 24/02/2008 13:30

ronshar we've not told anyone yet, though I'm thinking it might be hard to hide from my family when we see them at Easter. I really want to tell everyone, but at the same time I would worry about jinxing things.

jambers99 I've got a docs appt tomorrow, but still have one pg test left and will definitely be using it before I go, just so I'm sure I'm not imagining things . Glad to see I'm not the only one!!!!

Jojay · 24/02/2008 14:07

Thanks Jambers99

Not sure when I'm due yet - I think it'll be at the end of Oct but I haven't got round to working it out yet ( how slack am I?!)

I'm crap at keeping a secret and I've told my Mum and my best friend already,(and DH of course!) although I probably shouldn't have really.

For some reason I feel a lot less scared about miscarrying this time, I think because everything was fine last time, but I mustn't get complacent I know.

I'm debating whether to tell them at work tomorrow. I've got quite a physical job so I feel like I ought to, but it seems very early.

What does everyone think??

tedmundo · 24/02/2008 19:10

Congratulations to jojay and welcome to Oct thread. We are in same boat where this pg happened after 1 month, same as ds. Doesn't really seem real when that happens does it?! With regards to work, if you are in any doubt about your safety doing that job when pg, then tell them!

Highlight of my weekend ... getting home from a wedding last night, watching Match of the Day with dh to chill before bedtime and puking my guts up after seeing the footage of Eduadro's injury. Feeling queasy even thinking about it.

Dreading tomorrow as will have to feed ds again myself. Mashed up food is making me so sick.

AandMsmum · 24/02/2008 19:24

Hi everyone, congratulations to you all. After 5 months trying I'm just coming up to 6 weeks pg... I've an 8 yr old and 15 month old DD's. 8 year old is pretty laid back but it's going to be an interesting 9months running around after a little monkey!

Jambers99 - are you feeling as daunted as I am at the prospect of having two small children?

AandMsmum · 24/02/2008 19:26

sorry was reading the wrong thread - that question was directed at Jojay! oops

bethoo · 24/02/2008 20:46

congratulations to the latest newcomers.
well today was quite a milestone for me as i actually threw up my brekkie this morning! it was blueberries and melon!! felt better after. hoping that this is a good sign that all is well though do not want to go through that again!!

AandMsmum · 24/02/2008 21:16

I've not been sick at all yet and didn't suffer with both DDs, I kind of feel like I'm missing out on something though I can imagine if it did happen I wouldn't be too pleased! I tend not to feel very pregnant until several weeks in, apart from sore boobs and tiredness.

Question - does anyone know if I can eat prawns?

Yes you can, as long as they are fresh and well cooked (ie only from respectable sources!).

Jojay · 24/02/2008 21:54

I think my EDD will be around 31st Oct - so just squeezed into this thread!!

AandMsmum yes, the thought of 2 little ones is quite terrifying isn't it??

I'm finding DS a real full time job at the moment. His attention span is so short and he wants to be on the go all the time, it's quite wearing!! He bangs on the back door to be let out by about 8 am, still in his pyjamas!!

I find I just go out all the time, to soft play, park, visit friends etc, but that won't be so easy with a little one in tow.

Hopefully by then though, he'll be a little more distractable, and failing that, there's always CBeebies!

Loads of people have a two year age gap - how hard can it be?? [optimistic emoticon]

Jojay · 24/02/2008 21:56

tedmundo, you're right, I'll probably will tell them.

I manage my own time though, and have a small team, so it shouldn't be too difficult to avoid the bad stuff

bethoo · 24/02/2008 21:57

jojay - if this pregnancy is successful my ds will be 20 months old so i know what a handful it will be!! bad enough that i am tired and he is not!!!
