Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

Hi I am also due August 2022. I was looking for this group and finally i am here. I had the quad screening which has showed me 1in 5 for Down syndrome but my NIPT is low risk.

Hi @Emms2022 I think a lot of people are now on the Facebook group.

I’m finally over halfway and 21 weeks tomorrow. Can’t believe it!

Found out this week we are having a little boy and was so shocked as I was convinced my 12 week scan had a girl nub!

Aside from insomnia, I feel great. How are you and everything going?

Hi everyone- 18 weeks and feeling fine. Sickness seems to have stopped don’t have any strong symptoms. Worried. Tempted to book a private scan but only 3 weeks until my 20 week scan so wondering if I should hold on. How’s everyone else feeling- anyone the same?

@Ems2208 I'm 19 weeks today and pretty symptom-free apart from savage heartburn at random points during the day. Baby has only properly started wiggling and kicking the last few days despite this being my third where I thought I'd feel it a lot sooner! I have a doppler so I've been listening to the heartbeat when I've felt the need for reassurance but that has massively reduced the larger I've got and the further into the pregnancy I've gone. Have you felt any movements yet? That's the best way to put your mind at ease that all is well. I think I was 20/21 weeks with my first when I felt flutters so if this is your first it's not uncommon to not have felt anything yet x

Can I join in 😘due 16 August with my first baby, a boy!
Hips are achey sometimes which is a very recent symptom, stretching up and bending down can be a bit of a challenge as well but luckily all my previous awful symptoms seem to have died down!

@CharPick Congratulations on your news of a little boy and welcome to the group :) nobody really says much these days but if you've got any questions it's likely someone will get back to you with some help and/or advice. I'm glad your symptoms have died down, it's such a relief to feel normal again isn't it! Can't comment on the achey hips issue but a few of my pregnant friends have said the same so at least it seems fairly common. My lower back has started giving me jip but that's probably something I did to myself at the gym rather than pregnancy related! x

Hi! How's everyone doing here? August is fast approaching now. Are you all still working? Do you have some last minute shopping to do in June/July?

I am working until 14 July, then taking some annual leave which will go over directly into my maternity leave. Started counting days, it's exactly 3 weeks left now!
Mostly lucky on the symptoms, although getting up from bed/sofa/chair or turning around in bed can hurt a little sometimes. And walking/standing is SO TIRING! XD
Still have most of the shopping to do, but feel much better since I got the pram a few weeks ago. My partner and I are currently doing an NCT class and, as I had hoped, it finally got us talking about the details of labour and taking care of the baby - feeling very busy but happy.

I also booked a maternity photo session on 18 July - I will be 37 weeks by then, hoping it's not a bit too far in, but the photographer I wanted wasn't free before then. The same photographer is supposed to come back again once the baby is born, to take newborn photos. It's so nice how everyone is willing to be flexible when it comes to birth. My partner's mum was also able to book a flexible holiday which she can adjust on short-notice (her boss wrote "baby" next to her name in the holiday calendar), although the place she's working is usually very strict about early and exact holiday bookings.

@CatsBooksAndRain gosh, this thread has been so quiet and reading back over the old comments is making me very nostalgic, even though they are only a few months old!

I’m currently 35 weeks and still working. My last day is the 15th July when I will be taking annual leave before starting my maternity leave on my due date.
However, I had my 34 week appointment yesterday and my midwife mentioned I may be induced from 37 weeks due to gestational diabetes. It’s well managed with diet at the moment, so I may be able to push back but will see how the baby is doing at my next growth scan on Monday.

It feels very surreal knowing that I could be giving birth in just a few short weeks!
I’ve genuinely loved pregnancy and feel a bit sad that it will be over. It’s hard to get my head around that I’ll have an actual baby at the end of this!

@Firsttimetrier , a lot has happened in these last few months, right?

Haha, I do sometimes think that pregnancy is really the easy bit, taking care of the baby is pretty much taking good care of myself. This will all change once the baby is out. On the other hand, I just can't wait to finally see him!

Do you have a name yet? We are still choosing. XD

@Emms2022 I’m 9 + 4 and absolutely exhausted too, have been for a few weeks or so now. My work is relatively flexible so I’ve managed to take a few day naps as I’m really really struggling. I just don’t seem to be sleeping well/getting good quality sleep at all. Had my booking in this week and bloods all came back fine. If I’m lucky enough everything is ok with baby and we make it to next tri I’m hoping exhaustion eases off!

Hey, how are doing now? I had a good 1st trimester, but back to tiredness in my 3rd, not as bad as 1st though, are you due in 8 weeks? I'm 8 1/2 and it couldn't come quick enough x

Reading back over comments has made me realise just how far I've come. Not long now for you, my pregnancy has been rough tbh. Dye in 8 weeks though, yay x
