Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

Yes exactly, they put 2 embryos in (it was our 4th round of IVF) so seems they both implanted

Caslo · 25/01/2022 20:24

@starkid Fourth round wow! That makes the news extra special doesn't it! Huge congratulations once again Flowers

CatsBooksAndRain · 26/01/2022 08:17

Didn't get around to write yesterday but here's my picture. All good so far, exactly 12 weeks yesterday and due on 9 August - exactly like what my conception/pregnancy app had estimated. 😆

They weren't able to take very accurate measurements from my baby because it just wouldn't turn on the right side. Even after jumping around it just ended up on the opposite side from what they needed. 🙈🙈

Congratulations @Firsttimetrier and @starkid ! So glad about your good news.

Didn't know it's ever possible to tell the gender at this stage, must have been in a super convenient position.
And twins! So good! I was hoping for twins a little, but neither my family nor my partner's has a history of twins, so not much chance. I just kind of feel that although twins are more work during pregnancy, labour and of course once they're born, but if you want 2 kids, it's kind of all the hard stuff done once and for all and at least there's no need to repeat. 😅🙈 Does it make sense? Hope it doesn't sound silly now I've put it into words. Maybe I see it like this because I'd like 2 but am terrified of giving birth and worried the first one might put me off going through it again. 🙈

Due August 2022 ☀️

Caslo · 26/01/2022 11:33

I've been thinking about you @Clodagh21, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I do hope you're looking after yourself and remember it was nothing you did or didn't do. I tried not to blame myself with my MC last year but it's natural that those thoughts do cross your mind. I hope you take care and have every success in the future Thanks x

Firsttimetrier · 26/01/2022 11:33

Oh I’m so, so sorry to hear that. Sending you lots of love and please take care of yourself. Feel all the feelings and take time to yourself to process it, in anyway that you wish.

@Firsttimetrier

Just had my 12 week scan and baby is measuring ahead! Due date was 4th August but now moved to the 30th July!

Baby was very chilled to start with and was asleep, but after some star jumps and hip wiggles, they woke up so they could take proper measurements.

Feeling so relieved as I had convinced myself something had gone wrong!

Yayy, so pleased for you, mine is next Friday X

I mentioned exhaustion a few posts ago and emailed the midwife team here in NI to ask it it normal to be so exhausted that you can't work and can only get out if bed for short periods and it has been going on for about 3 weeks. Thus us the response I got

" Yes unfortunately extreme tiredness is very common in normal pregnancy. Just try to eat well, keep hydrated and even start taking a pregnancy multivitiman, pregnacare for example. This does tend to resolve when you hit the second trimester "

Sorry to post this, it pales in comparison to Clodagh's loss 💔, I wanted to reassure other mums to be who are experiencing the same issue.

Emma ❤️

Hey @Emms2022 for around 4 weeks, I was so exhausted that I was sure I had an iron deficiency or something, but turns out my iron levels are good and it was just pregnancy fatigue.

During that stage, I was sleeping maybe 11/12 hours a night, having an hour nap on my lunch break (luckily I WFH!) and then a quick 20min nap in the evening. In between meetings, I was also working in bed as I just didn’t have the energy to sit upright in my office chair 😂🤦🏽‍♀️.
It was insane how much I was sleeping and horizontal for so long.

This definitely passed around week 10ish, but I had a few days at week 12 where I felt rough but it’s passed again now at week 13.

I think it’s mainly down to the baby having big growth spurts and developing a lot, so it sucks all of your energy.

Hope it passes for you soon!

Thank you so much for this, it's very helpful, I'm self employed and havnt been able to do a lot of lash extensions or provide lash extensions training so I'm working on a mobile game app with a developer in Italy while laying in bed, so it's helping me pass the time and giving me focus while I can't do my proper job, I've tried just taking regular clients from home and explained the situation to them and new clients that I'm in, I'm nearly 10 weeks and love being active and getting stuff done and making each day count so this is a total opposite for me.

I'm delighted you can work from home and your feeling better.

Appreciate your reply so much,

Emms2022 · 28/01/2022 13:54

Btw has anyone else's DH being experiencing all your symptoms.... Like seriously ☺️

Emma ❤️ X

LT543 · 28/01/2022 14:16

@Emms2022 I was the exact same completely exhausted, struggling to do the bare minimum at work and having to sneak in naps when I could. I hit 10 weeks on Monday and genuinely have felt like I have a new lease of life this week, the exhaustion seems to have subsided. Hope it eases up for you soon!

The only ‘symptom’ my DH had was not being able to sleep properly at night either thanks to me continuously tossing and turning and waking him up 🤣🙈 xx

Cmacq32 · 28/01/2022 18:46

Hey ladies, who is the FB page go to? I no longer have access and looking to get the link again. The previous link expired.
If someone can tag the person who can help I'd link to join.
Thank you!

Bring on next Wednesday then, as I'm 10 weeks, or else 10 1/2, I sent fir an early scan and they confused me giving me 2 different dates so I'll know better for my booking scan. Glad to hear it!

Oh I keep the DH up too with my trips to the bathroom, baby's fault, not mine lol

He's also had a sore back, tired and experienced fatigue this while week... Got to be kidding me, I'm the one, we are all the mums, making the next generation lol

CountryGirl189 · 28/01/2022 23:46

Don’t worry, tiredness is all part and parcel of growing another little person 🥰

I won’t lie though, I’m feeling sorry for myself because since I hit 10.5 weeks, I’ve had the worst tiredness and headaches ever! Now 12+1 and still feeling pants 😅
