Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

Thank you so much @Emms2022, appreciate that! 🤞🏼❤️ X

I thought my symptoms were getting better too - but then they came back. Today was feeling super nauseous all day, just couldn't get up from the sofa. At least working from home allows to just bring my laptop to the sofa with me. Most days tiredness and nausea really get in the way of work, not to mention housework. I don't know how I'm to continue working until August - just hope that my second trimester will be as good as everyone says it should be. Lots to do both at home and at work. 😭

On the positive side, I'm somewhere between 11 and 12 weeks now and have my scan tomorrow morning. Can't wait and hope everything is good!

Emms2022 · 24/01/2022 22:49

Great to hear the scan, long awaited, is tomorrow, nine us next Friday, don't worry about housework, it's only temporary, get DH to do it lol or get s cleaner in for a couple of hours a week, myself and DH both work and split chores thank goodness, but remember it's only temporary.

You'll be soo happy tomorrow, let us all know how you get on XX

Emma ♥️

Just had my 12 week scan and baby is measuring ahead! Due date was 4th August but now moved to the 30th July!

Baby was very chilled to start with and was asleep, but after some star jumps and hip wiggles, they woke up so they could take proper measurements.

Feeling so relieved as I had convinced myself something had gone wrong!

ajw2022 · 25/01/2022 11:31

@Firsttimetrier aah how lovely!! Congratulations 💓💙 so nice to see them on the screen xx

SantiagoSister · 25/01/2022 12:20

Great news @Firsttimetrier! So pleased all was well, it’s very exciting ❤️

Firsttimetrier · 25/01/2022 12:48

Thank you both @ajw2022 and @SantiagoSister. Feeling very real now!

I think it will be a big baby as they’re measuring 6 days ahead 😟! Husband and I are both convinced it’s a boy too and they asked if we wanted to know, but holding out until the 20 week scan!

What a beautiful scan! I think the few dates here and there don’t make much of a difference, I read that ultrasounds can be bad at picking that up and they compare against averages. We are also measuring about 4 days ahead and given we were trying actively to conceive, I know exactly when I ovulated. It’s a bit confusing but should be fine!
henrysroadprimrose2021 · 25/01/2022 13:09

And so cute that the baby moved when you moved!

Wow what a lovely scan picture! Their little face is so clear 🥰 were they able to tell the sex today? That’s amazing if they could see that this early! Or were they just asking if you are going to find out in general?
starkid · 25/01/2022 14:12

Hi everyone! So my due date is 8th September, however we're having twins!!

So will almost definitely be August birth :) I am 7 weeks 5 days, and had an early scan today :)

(Was through IVF hence knowing the exact dates!)

LT543 · 25/01/2022 14:15

@Firsttimetrier @starkid congrats on your scans, how amazing and exciting!

I’m counting down the days now, my 12 week is a week on Thursday. I don’t think it will feel real until my scan!!

Firsttimetrier · 25/01/2022 14:20

@SantiagoSister they said they could tell us today if we wanted as I think the nub is quite obvious (but I have no idea if I’m looking at the right thing!) but then we chickened out and decided to wait until the 20 week scan.

@starkid amazing to see twins! How exciting!

Omg TWINS! Congratulations 🥳 did you have a feeling or was it a complete surprise?

Gorgeous scan. The clearest I've ever seen! I'd say boy too.
SantiagoSister · 25/01/2022 14:34

@Firsttimetrier that’s amazing! You done so well to hold out, I think I might’ve caved 😂🙈 I never have a clue when it comes to nub/skull theories personally! It’ll be a lovely surprise for you in 8 weeks time 😊

SantiagoSister · 25/01/2022 14:35

Amazing news @starkid! I would love to have twins, what an awesome surprise for you 😊 did you have many symptoms before you had your scan?

starkid · 25/01/2022 15:33

@miltonj @SantiagoSister well we had a blood test to check for pregnancy as it was through IVF, and my hcg level at 4 weeks was 6000+, which... is very high, which hinted towards twins. Apart from that, I don't think I've been that bad with symptoms! I get nausea mostly at bedtime, but haven't been sick. And have felt the odd cramping/pinching in my abdomen and been bloaty and not wanting to eat lots at once. Apart from that and the odd tiredness, that's it so far!

I'm only 5ft tall and 8 stone so I do wonder how on earth I'm going to carry twins throughout the summer, going to be ginormous. And I'm already stressing about the sleeping arrangements, all the washing/bottles/nappies etc etc Shock

SantiagoSister · 25/01/2022 16:40

@starkid that’s great you’ve managed to mostly escape any terrible symptoms. You tend to hear about twin pregnancies causing twice the symptoms, but I have heard of people having zero symptoms and the twins come as a huge shock at the 12 week scan! 😂 it’s amazing how our bodies deal with things so differently. I can imagine a million things are going through your mind right now but I’m sure in time, the shock will wear off and you’ll get a plan of action in place. And I’m sure you’ll carry them just fine even with your petite frame, the body is a marvellous thing!

Wow, incredible!

Yeah there's defo a lot to think about, bet it's a bit overwhelming, but you'll just slip into a routine! Do you know what kind of twins? Separated egg or two eggs fertilised? Sorry if that a stupid question, I don't know that much about twins!

CountryGirl189 · 25/01/2022 19:40

@Firsttimetrier what a lovely scan photo!

I’m going to be controversial and say I think it’s a girl based on the nub theory! 🥰

Firsttimetrier · 25/01/2022 20:10

Oooh that’s interesting @CountryGirl189! I thought this bit I’ve circled was the nub and it looked stacked but I have NO idea what I’m even talking about 😂

If it is a girl, I need to apologise profusely to her when she arrives as I’ve been saying to my husband they have a boy’s face 🤦🏽‍♀️😅

Caslo · 25/01/2022 20:18

@miltonj Just gonna jump in and suggest they're fraternal/non identical twins since there are two sacs. I'm not an expert (hopefully someone who is an expert will be along shortly to confirm) but I think with identical twins there is only one sac and both babies share it. Huge congratulations @starkid you're so lucky! I was so hoping for twins but only the one here for me Smile you'll manage absolutely brilliantly I'm sure, plenty of time to get your head around it and to plan x
