@Inmypjsagain @HopefulB - I did think maybe it was my belly button stretching as it doesn't hurt but my belly button doesn't look any different 😂 and my bump is still quite small so none of the skin appears/feels stretched or tight - I'll leave it out for a while and see what happens!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 26/04/2021 17:59

@Daffodil21 let's see how much more I put on. Can't stop eating. Although today not so much but last week I was definitely eating for two. SMH.

@BertieBotts thanks! That's the thing - it's personal preference but at the moment I just don't see the point of putting money towards a bedside crib. Also congratulations on week 24 🥳

Is anyone else feeling completely tired today? It's Monday and I feel like an sooo run down ....

Daffodil21 · 26/04/2021 18:10

I can't imagine having a belly button pricing atm - my belly button disappeared ages ago 😂😂

@Whatshouldbemyusername I definitely need to throw in an extra (substantial) afternoon snack these days!

Inmypjsagain · 26/04/2021 18:37

@Whatshouldbemyusername SO tired and really hormonal, crying for no reason, which I think is making me feel more tired!

@MM1993 yeah it’s weird in that my tummy doesn’t look stretched but my belly button looks so wide! So wonder what Itll look like at the other end!!!

It’s such a nice evening, I feel like I’m wasting it by going back to bed...

PurplePansy05 · 26/04/2021 18:53

I'm tired too, I need naps during the day now! Definitely not like me. And I'm out of breath on a tiniest hills, madness! And starving most of the time too 😂 Glad we're in this together! xx

Inmypjsagain · 26/04/2021 19:09

You know I think I’ve got so used to be either being tired, hungry, achey, hormonal or sick that I can’t remember what it was like to feel normal nor can I imagine ever feeling normal again!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 26/04/2021 19:12

@Inmypjsagain and @PurplePansy05 I know! I was telling husband on Friday night "I just want to cry!" Out of the blue.....and then I did 🤣🤣🤣

Literally cba with yoga tonight. I just want to go to bed

Ready2020 · 26/04/2021 19:42

I'm having one of those days today where I'm just exhausted. No real reason for it. I did go to bed a bit later than usual yesterday though. I just feel like crying or sleeping or both but still have this weird energy that I want to do things. It's so frustrating. I woke up today just wishing this pregnancy was over.

My OH made dinner tonight and it was meant to be chicken veggie tray bake but he decided to swap the chicken for orange. Now who does that! I was so pissed off. He's away making me scrambled eggs lol.

Think I'll have a very early night tonight after my food.

Ready2020 · 26/04/2021 19:49

Someone has asked about my sea glass jewellery. I used to make jewellery a long time ago and just getting back into it.

I do more embroidery these days.

Both are on Instagram at either Firth Sea Glass and Greentree Crafts.

lucyrp · 26/04/2021 19:55

Hit the 24 week mark today 🥳🥳

HopefulB · 26/04/2021 20:16

Congratulations to those hitting the 24week mark 🎉

Just back from a post work walk with a friend, loving the sunshine, light nights and company. Hoping that it will have eased off the weird leg cramps I got sitting at work?!

I have eaten so much flapjack today to get through to a late dinner. Hope I don’t pay for the late eating when I lie down....

Inmypjsagain · 26/04/2021 20:32

Congratulations @lucyrp and @BertieBotts too! 🎉
This trimester feels like it’s going so quick!

@HopefulB mmm, flapjack. I could eat that for sure. Our biscuits are in the oven! 😊

HopefulB · 26/04/2021 20:53

@Inmypjsagain, if that’s what you feel you can eat - go for it! The oats have fibre in, add
some mixed seeds and dried fruit for a bit more and voila a justifiable excuse to eat biscuits 😀

Caz1226 · 26/04/2021 20:58

Hi everyone
I’m feeling so much movement now from my little boy- no patterns in particular as of yet but definitely first thing in a morning and on a night time he lets me know he’s there
Today in particular, 24 weeks tomorrow- it’s all going so fast now I just can’t wait
I’ve ordered my pram and nursery furniture- it’s all getting very real!
Hope everyone has had a nice Monday xx

Millymay13 · 26/04/2021 21:38

Thank you @Whatshouldbemyusername, I was feeling fine after the scan but then I ended up telling so many people about it and reassuring them/explaining why the little legs could be a problem that I think I worked myself up into a stress.

@WolfMother326 I think we’re going to wait to see baby on the outside rather than having the sneak peek whilst they’re still inside. I totally see the appeal though!

Millymay13 · 26/04/2021 21:47

@Ava50x and @Inmypjsagain thanks also for your comments. Like you say I think mostly small femurs are not anything to worry about because there’s lots of stories of everything being fine. I guess it’s better to check just in case anything is not quite going to plan in there. Baby was certainly putting those little legs to work earlier today kicking away to remind me that small can still be mighty!

And I’m with all of you on the fatigue and being emotional! The littlest thing can set me off crying and I’m so tired all the time!

biscuitcat · 26/04/2021 23:16

@Ready2020 that was me who asked - your stuff is stunning! I've started embroidering again this last year but your work makes mine look very amateur, totally stunning 😍

@Whatshouldbemyusername @Inmypjsagain I'll join the over emotional club! Today I was tired and a bit cranky and ended up I floods - first because DH went to the shop on his own (I didn't really fancy going so was pleased but was upset he didn't want me to come with...) and then because I was overwhelmed by the choice of cot mattresses and waterproof sheets, can't believe it's only Monday...

biscuitcat · 26/04/2021 23:17

(And to add for lovely DH's sake, he didn't actually say he didn't want me to come with, I hugely overinterpreted for no good reason at all!)

Aaaaa1519 · 27/04/2021 00:39

Hi guys
2nd baby girl due August 13th currently 24 weeks
Have got the weirdest symptoms even the midwives/drs are baffled Confused Anyone else suffering from purple itchy legs and feet? Any advice will be appreciated Smile

lucyrp · 27/04/2021 06:53

Worrying this morning, didn't feel any proper kicks yesterday just little gurgles and haven't had anything this morning yet either and I do normally. 😖 not sure if I had them in the night I vaguely remember something but not enough to reassure me

PurplePansy05 · 27/04/2021 07:44

@biscuitcat Your post made me laugh (not at you but because this rollercoaster is so familiar!). The reno dramas continue here, you can imagine the shit my DH is getting as a result from me: a panicked, emotionally fragile, hormonal, achey, sleep deprived and permanently tired/hangry zombie. Oh, forgetful and breathless too. 😂 I said to him yesterday, I've suddenly started feeling very pregnant. Everything is just getting harder, even the simple things 😂

I've been on a mad rush to get everything ordered for my son the last two weeks so at least I'm not freaked out when I'm really close to my due date and I suspect the house is still a state then. At least I want him sorted. I'm glad it's done because I was on the verge of geting emotionally and physically overwhelmed with it all.

But on the other hand, I love the feeling of cooking up DS and having a bump, it's lovely and I know I'll miss it! I also know some of you are having it harder with food/sickness/other issues so I keep telling myself these are minor things when I calm down. It's true you just get used to them.

Think how glorious it will be after we give birth (sarcasm) 😂 Don't think things will ever be as easy and smooth as they were pre-pregnancy, certainly not for me in my mid-30s, gravity is stronger now and lack of sleep does mean wrinkles and grumpiness, haha! xx

PurplePansy05 · 27/04/2021 07:52

@lucyrp Have you tried the usual trick, cold drink and lying on your side in silence for half an hour or so after? I had a similar thing a week ago, he stopped moving in the mornings for 2-3 days and his movements were lighter later too. I was around 23.5 weeks then and figured out he's tucked himself in somewhere where I felt him less. But I would say, I had a consultant appt at 24 weeks anyway and we listened to him so this gave me peace of mind. Typically, the day after he started being very active and has been most days since. Can you try the above and if still nothing give your OAU a call? They may bring you in to listen to his hb, no point stressing out xx

lucyrp · 27/04/2021 07:58

@PurplePansy05 I tried it this morning and nothing but it wasn't for half an hour as I didn't have time. I won't have time to stop until around 5 tonight now 😢xx

PurplePansy05 · 27/04/2021 08:10

@lucyrp OK, what you could do is try and focus on movements for the next few hours, if you're busy you'll likely feel less, but you know you'll still feel some. Keep an eye for the next couple of hours as much as you can and if you're feeling very little and it doesn't reassure you, call the OAU. It's most likely your baby has moved to an awkward spot, they're still small now. But there's no point in you worrying for hours, better safe than sorry. My consultant said from 26 weeks ring and come in immediately every time there's a reduction in pattern, but I am sure they wouldn't dismiss your concerns now. It will be ok. It helps to calm down your breathing too, try if you can, I know easiee said than done. xx

Whatshouldbemyusername · 27/04/2021 08:56

@PurplePansy05 ditto! Love being pregnant but hate not being able to sleep and like you said in my mid 30s now so sleep is more and more important. It's also making me cranky and more hormonal if I don't sleep.

I didn't sleep last night. Got up at 3:30 to pee and came and started crying! DH was like what's happening - I was like I can't sleep and I have a headache. I can't call in sick I've just started this new job last week. I feel better after my shower but I think I slept like 3 hours all night ☹️

@lucyrp dont worry coz when I was not feeling movement as @PurplePansy05 said MW said it's after week 26 that you should monitor. But listen to your gut. Make it a priority and call the MW today. You will feel better. Deep breaths. All will be well. Keep us posted. X
